Location is incredibly close to downtown McMinnville and all its wonderful restaurants (to rival any large city). The neighborhood is incredibly quiet. The house is outdated, as mentioned, but it's very clean with plenty of towels and some bathroom amenities are provided (not usual in house rentals). The backyard is wonderful size to enjoy the nice weather. The host was very quick to respond to questions. Highly recommend this location.
My sister and I stayed for a few days while touring wine country.
First the pros: The property is centrally located to McMinnville and the surrounding wineries & attractions. The neighborhood is very quiet so if you're a light sleeper (like me) you'll especially appreciate this. The host provides the essentials that might be needed for a short stay, i.e. small coffee packs, paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher soap, travel toiletries, etc. The hot tub and fire pit are very nice features (although the hot tub cover has issues - see below). Check-in & check-out process was simple and straightforward. The host replied to my inquiries promptly.
Now the cons: As other reviewers have said, the place is outdated and could use a deep cleaning. Mattresses are a personal preference, but FYI one has what seems to be a memory foam topper on it and the other two are very firm. The host has left an instruction booklet for the hot tub, fire pit, etc. but the instructions are incomplete and somewhat confusing (I wound up looking up the hot tub cover instructions online). We used the fire pit and enjoyed that very much. We used the hot tub too but the mechanism to remove the cover is bent out of shape and doesn't function properly. Getting the cover off wasn't too bad but trying to get it back on was another story altogether. We finally managed it, but be ready for that post-relaxation workout! We didn't use the sauna at all but I can see the appeal of that in the cooler months.
The house is a bit outdated but clean and welcoming. Could use a refresh to brighten up. Enjoyed the back yard and hot tub definitely a bonus
Weâll equipped other than no paper towels weâre left or dish towels
Perfect location that is walkable to downtown McMinnville. Very spacious with a hot tub and sauna. House is well-stocked but a bit out-dated. Overall, though, very clean and perfect for a family on the go.
Very close to the park and downtown McMinnville. Comfortable accommodations, clean and relaxing. We could not figure out the hot tub or the fire pit. But the host is helpful if you need anything.
We enjoyed our stay at this home. The location was perfect for a short walk into town. Also made good use of the yard and played croquet one day, and loved sitting out by the fire table each night. The hot tub was a great perk too. Pleased overall!
Great location if you want to do some wine tasting (or dining) in McMinnville and not have to drive.
We used only one bed (master bedroom) and it was very good. We like rock hard. It was not rock hard; but it was certainly firm.
The home is not new. There seems to be a lot of 'work in progress' (e.g. baseboard & molding not installed); but it is clean, and there was nothing missing that affected the workability of anything.
The shower in the master suite had an amazing shower head. Lots of 'power'. I thought the shower looked small, but I'm huge (6'2" & 300lbs+) and fit no problem.
I really loved that there was not a thousand signs/rules/labels all over the place.
*** there are some great pickleball courts just a stone's throw away.
We'd book again.
The house is in a great location, within a mile walking distance to downtown and all the shops, restaurants, and tasting rooms. It was very clean and the owner even allowed us to check-in a few hours early, which was very appreciated. Although clean, the house appeared to need a little work. The frame around the bathroom door was missing - it didnât affect the functionality but was a little unsightly. The beds need major improvement. They were probably the most uncomfortable beds any of us had ever used. Our bed in particular seemed to not have a box spring or accurate support for the mattress, which would have made a big difference. One of the other rooms doesnât have proper curtains so our friends were woken very early each morning. The kitchen was also somewhat lacking in supplies. Overall though we were only there three nights and had the minimum of what we needed, but I donât know if I would stay there again because of the beds alone.
Home was as described and worked out perfectly for our group of 5 ladies exploring nearby vineyards for a weekend get away. Local restaurants and wineries did an outstanding job with COVID precautions, putting us at ease with our getaway. Host provided prompt communication and answered questions up front. Home was comfortable, clean, and had a beautiful private backyard. Out stay was in July and the AC unit cooled the home despite higher temps. We made use of the hot tub and appreciated the location which was walking distance to downtown McMinnville restaurants. I would not hesitate to return in the future and explore more of the vineyards in the area which are plentiful.
The house was laid out well. The hot tub was good, however, some of the parts kept falling off. They had nice towels! Regulating the temperature in the house was challenging. One room was cool and the next was stifling hot.
The location and amenities were fantastic. This exceeded expectations for our short stay in McMinnville. Per my significant other, she would definitely stay here again, and was one of the highlights of our long weekend get away.
Great location and awesome backyard and fire-pit.
Unfortunately both the kitchen and bathroom had an aunt problem. Front door screen needs to be repaired. We bought ant traps and cleaned with vinegar but that only lasted about a day. The bottle of wine was a great touch. Had a great time regardless of the ants.
House was nice and comfortable. Great private backyard with a fire table. Rooms were spacious. Kitchen had all we needed. Had an issue with the hot tub but the owner was quick to make it right. We would stay here again.
