Beautiful stay

Plenty of room for two couples to spread out. We loved the patio and fire pit. Quick walk to downtown. Safe area. The sitting room and fireplace was lovely for morning coffee. Loved to read about the history of this place. Street noise is a minor nuisance but a noise machine solved that at night. We would stay again.

Perfect location in wine country

This house was perfect for our days in wine country! There are some incredible wineries within a 20 minute drive, and being able to walk into town for dinner (and more wine tasting) was so convenient. It is on a busier street but the traffic really dies down at night. The gas fire pit out back was the perfect way to end each day. Thank you for a great stay!

Beautiful and special

There wasn’t anything you needed once you checked in. They thought if everything. We loved the history of the house, it made our stay even more memorable. We didn’t realize that we were staying there while heavy construction was going on across the street and that made time outside limited. Lovely home.

McMinnville getaway

The hosts provided a lovely, clean and well-appointed retreat. The location was convenient to the wineries and downtown. We enjoyed the relaxing backyard patio. This was a lovely property and as descibed in the listing. Communication with the host was great. We highly recommend this property and hope to return again.

Charming Farmhouse

Everything was ready for us, lots of amenities, easy to access and a super convenient location! We loved the kitchen, front porch and backyard with seating and fire pit! Super convenient to all 3rd St has to offer and trips to local wineries.

Brooks House retreat

This home was clean and very well appointed. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. It was located close to downtown and a short drive to many wineries. Our favorite place to hang out was around the fire pit in the evenings. Loved it!

Charming Farmhouse Getaway

We loved our stay at the Brooks Street House! We were in town for a family reunion, and it was perfect for our family of four (the fifth couldn't make it but there would have been plenty of room for her, too). The home is beautifully appointed and has been tastefully remodeled to meet modern luxury standards but still retain the original late 19th century charm. The garden area in front is well landscaped, and the back patio area would have been a perfect place to sit and enjoy the fire pit if we had a little more time. We had some family members come back with us to play games after the reunion, and the dining table accommodated everyone beautifully. The only drawback is that it is situated on a somewhat busy street so there is some street noise, but it sits back a bit and has trees that help serve as a buffer. The hosts have thoughtfully provided earplugs for those who may have trouble sleeping, but we did not need them (and I am a light sleeper). Rich and Jade were very responsive when we had a couple of questions. Check in was a breeze. We definitely recommend, and would stay again!

Family stay for friends wedding

The house was clean inside and out. We did not realize the house is near one of the main roads in and out of town. Otherwise our stay was pleasant and was a perfect place for us to get ready for a friend’s wedding at a nearby vineyard.

Quick Stay in McMinnville

This was the perfect location to the main area of McMinnville. 10 minute walk to most everything and the house is nice and roomy!!

The property was very comfortable and well appointed. It was within walking distance to historic downtown McMinnville shops and restaurants, and a good location for visiting wineries in the upper Willamette valley. We would definitely stay there again.

The house is clean and comfortable and convenient isn’t to downtown McMinnville. The hosts are responsive and communicate well and often. A nice stay!

Another wonderful stay in wine country

A comfortable home with a well stocked kitchen. The nice weather allowed us to enjoy the backyard. We grilled and sat around the fire pit. Close to many wineries and downtown McMinnvile.

Our 2nd Time Staying in This Beautiful Home

We stayed at this property in 2018, and again this past week. It has been meticulously maintained. We will return here on our next trip to the Willamette Valley. It is in a great location for visiting wineries in Dundee, Amity and Newberg, to mention a few. There are great restaurants and shopping nearby in McMinnville. The patio area with a grill and a wonderful fire-pit was a great place to relax and reflect when we returned from a day of winery visits. We would highly recommend this property!

Relaxing and Well Appointed

Brooks House was perfect for our visit to McMinnville. The home is beautifully decorated, cozy, and equipped with just about anything you could need. We enjoyed evenings around the fire pit, dinners around the table and coffee at the spacious kitchen island. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this beautiful home. Wonderful House!

We do an annual wine trip each year and chose McMinnville this summer. The Brooks Street House was the perfect place to stay. Fabulous, well-stocked kitchen, three comfy bedrooms, and a super backyard for lounging after a day of wine tasting. Rich was a great host, and super quick to answer questions. We would definitely stay here again!

Bob and Nancy Emrick have been in the McMinnville Community since early 1980's. They are huge contributors to their community. Bob serves on several boards in the Yamhill Co. Area. He currently owns a fine dining restaurant, The Barberry, which includes a wine village, and roof top bar, 1882 Grille both located on the corner of 3rd and Galloway in beautiful downtown McMinnville. Nancy is a Julliard trained Opera Singer. She has traveled the world in her profession and currently has a group, Blond Diva's that specialize in 40-50's music. They have currently been performing in the Palm Springs and Las Vegas area.
They have one daughter, Ginger that lives in Oregon along with their first grandson, George!!
