Just spending time with family. Did take the grandkids to wings and waves waterpark, which was amazing. Reallt enjoyed the backysrd of the VRBO. It was coxy and landscaped beautifully. Highly recommend this home.
We enjoyed our stay. Clean home. Comfy beds. The backyard is beautiful. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. They made sure we had a small cooler to take with us to wineries so we could bring our own snacks. The only thing we thought wouldâve made the stay better was having access to a Roku or Smart TV to watch a movie at night and enjoy some of the wine we bought. Thanks for a lovely stay.
Quaint house with good living space and open kitchen. The best part is the wonderful backyard with plenty of seating and the fire pit. Great for a relaxing evening and visit with friends
Property was very clean and well maintained, back yard exactly as pictured and described. Very comfortable and welcoming, hate to leave!
Location was perfect to explore the downtown area and taste some local wines!
We were in McMinnville for a wedding and had 4 generations with us. The house was comfortable, well equipped and we really made use of the backyard with th kids. Nice quiet neighborhood yet close enough to walk downtown.
We thoroughly enjoyed staying here, it was ideal for the family gathering we hosted to celebrate our Linfield graduate. The backyard and BBQ area were well suited to our use! The house had no shortage of wine glasses but we could have used more silverware & dishes. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay.
decided on a last minute trip with in laws to wine country. property manager answered questions quickly and the process was super easy. house very comfy and beds were great! close to downtown.
This is the second time weâve stayed at the Chalet Gris in the last few years. It remains predictably safe, comfortable, and has everything you need. The three bedrooms (comfy beds) and yard are the best part! We especially love eating out back and enjoying the trees and flowers. Itâs not as close to downtown as weâd like but it is a 15 min walk so not too bad. Driving to downtown is really easy too.
All dishes were filthy, had to be washed before using. Cups stuck to bottom of cupboards with coffee grounds and sticky substance in them. I left 2 table knives on counter that are Rusty and corroded need to be replaced.
Weather was perfect. We had a nice time in McMinnville
Very spacious home. Quiet neighborhood. Close to everything. Backyard is great for drinking wine and relaxing. Didn't have a fire since it was 100 degree days and wildfires on everyone's mind so you don't dare light it up, despite being on a nice concrete patio (August).
Clean and stocked everything: kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms. 1 TV only with lots of cable channels. Only recommendation would be mattress toppers or mattress pads. Bed had me wearing icy-hot patches.
This house was exactly as described and we absolutely loved our stay. The house is very comfy and we felt right at home - it has a large and well accommodated kitchen, you could cook a legit gourmet meal here and there are enough wine glasses to have a party! The backyard is beyond gorgeous with a variety of spaces - a fire pit, a hammock, a dining table with chairs, Adirondack chairs for relaxing and a lovely garden area which had tomatoes growing while we were there.
The house is located close enough to 3rd St. that you could walk there and enjoy the local downtown scene and walk home after visiting the many wineries. There are so many great restaurants, and our hosts were kind enough to have a collection of menus from the local area.
There was no shortage of towels for the bathroom, which is always nice and both bedrooms had comfy beds - one was firm and one was soft - so you can accommodate everyone!
Our hosts were quick to respond and were such a pleasure to work with - I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful and cozy place to stay in McMinnville.
This was a great space for 2 sisters and our brother & his wife to stay & host a surprise party for our youngest sister & her family. Iâd love to stay again when the sun is shining so we can enjoy the beautiful back yard.
It was quiet and peaceful. The last 2 days, the neighbors had their roof replaced. The workers started at 6:30 every morning. That was not good timing on our part. It was easy access to everything.
From description of property we mistaking thought there were 3 bedrooms with queen beds plus a family room with a queen futon. Even lacking what we thought would be an extra bed, the home worked nicely for us for our stay. The home was clean, kitchen well stocked and the back yard is beautiful. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly.
This property is very convenient to downtown McMinnville and our stay was very comfortable. Nice backyard, but we wish the weather had been warmer so that we could have eaten out there. Would definitely like to come back. The neighborhood was very quiet and we loved our stay. My only complaint is that one of the dish cloths was very moldy, so we just didnât use it!
This is a great base for exploring the northern Willamette wine country. The interior of the house is clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with everything from coffee filters to bath soap. But the real star is the landscaping in the backyard - a comfortable umbrella for warm weather, a firepit for when its cool - very attractively landscaped.
Everything was great, the cleaning company you are using may need to be more Thorough. Found garbage under corner table by sofas, spilled water in kitchen and when wiped up the floor was very Filthy !
We are long-time McMinnville residents -- in fact, a local street is named for the mother of one of us. Our interests include beer-making, gardening and cooking. We are fans of The Linfield Wildcats, Trail Blazers and Oregon State Beavers. As we remodeled the house, we focused on comfort and functionality -- they're important to us and we think our guests will find that they can kick back and relax in this perfect "home away from home" in a friendly neighborhood.
Anyone who loves domestic tranquility will immediately see what drew us to this property. Not only is it spacious enough to accommodate three couples, it has a lovely patio and garden area to bask in the mild Yamhill Valley weather (which contributes to the wonderful Yamhill Valley wines!). The opportunity to create a quiet family/reading room that can be closed off from any bustle in the main part of the house was also something that attracted us. We think of this room as the Sanctuary, and purposefully left the TV out of it! McMinnville is an inviting town, and strolling the main streets (less than a mile from the house), dropping into wine tasting rooms or bookstores (or a knitter's paradise at a yarn shop) is a favorite activity for members of our extended family.
When you make Chalet Gris your base of operations, you'll be able to enjoy its proximity to a variety of attractions. When you're home, the indoor/outdoor convenience of food preparation and eating is enhanced by the sliding glass door from the kitchen to the covered deck and patio, allowing the smooth flow of traffic from stove to plate. After a day of exploring or wine tasting, guests can have time to themselves in the peaceful garden, the comfortable living area, or the quiet Sanctuary.
