Adorable restored historic house right in downtown, so easy to walk everywhere: farmer's market, coffee, wine tasting, shopping and more! The neighborhood is also filled with lots of historic homes, really charming. The converted garage was really cute and a nice place to sit while having dinner, our dog loved the fenced in yard too.
This was our 2nd time staying at Cowl's Bungalow. My husband and I traveled with my Dad this time. We love the large covered porch and that we can easily walk 2 blocks to the main street with shops, grocery and restaurants. The kitchen is well stocked with nice quality pans and fresh olive oil. Coffee beans/grinder are provided. We especially appreciated the AC given we were there on a 100 degree weekend. Would return again!
We loved everything about this cozy cottage. The location to downtown is awesome and we loved spending time on the front porch.spendspending time on the front porch i
The Cowls bungalow was lovely. Comfortable, clean and well-appointed as well a perfectly located for walking along the 3rd Ave retail and restaurant row. Very dog-friendly property as well. Couldnât have been better for a weekend getaway!
Lovely home, great neighborhood, well stocked, comfy beds and nice linens.
Great walking distance to downtown. Lovely home with nice back yard for outside entertaining. Comfortable bed and nice soft linens. Well stocked kitchen. Easy check-in and check-out. Host quick with communication and lots of local suggestions. Safe neighborhood.
The location was just perfect for walking to restaurants and shops in downtown McMinnville. Yet quiet even sitting on the front porch. It was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Would highly recommend staying here during a visit to the Evergreen Museum and wineries.
The house was terrific, spotlessly clean, comfortable and just a few blocks from great restaurants, wine cellars and stores in downtown McMinnville. The kitchen appeared to be well supplied although we didn't use it because of all the fabulous restaurants close by.
Great place to stay close to 3rd St in McMinnville. After a day of wine tasting we loved being able to walk to dinner and more tasting rooms. Unfortunately, the weather kept us from enjoying the outdoor space so weâll have to come back and hope the weather cooperates. One thing to note is the very tiny and not so private bathroom in the primary bedroom, which I didnât realize but wouldnât keep us from returning. Also, only Folgers was provided for the coffee maker so you may want to bring your own. I do highly recommend staying here.
What a great home! We loved the layout, the decor, convenience to everything, and it was spotless! The home was walking distance to shops, restaurants and wine tastings. Communication with Anita was excellent and everything went so smoothly. This was an annual girls trip with my friend from Portland. We would go back in a heart beat.
This house was the absolute perfect home base for our visit to Oregon wine country. The house itself is beautifully appointed. Very comfortable, all the ammenities you could need, and well decorated. The bedrooms, living spaces, and outdoor spaces were all well-proportined and gave us ample room to strech out and enjoy our stay. The location was also terrific. Two short blocks from the main street in town that is lined with shops and restaurants. And only 15-20 minute drive to prime winery areas. We would enjoy our coffee and breakfast in the morning, walk our dog around the charming neighbourhood and then walk to a local place for a light lunch before heading out to the wineries. We would visit 2 or 3 and be home in time for a nap before dinner which again, we could walk to easily. A perfect getaway. Many thanks to our attentive and professional host. She could give a master course in designing, equipping and managing home rentals!
This spot is great if you want an easy walk into town--literally a two minute walk to Third street. Our favorite spots were Harvest Fresh Grocery (great for food and wine selections, as well as premade meals), La Rambla, and the Cellar at Okta. It's a dog friendly house, which was perfect for us. Out pups were very happy to hang out in the fenced backyard, taking advantage of the cool floors in the carriage house. Super comfy beds, well-equipped kitchen, AC, and all the amenities you'd expect. Would definitely stay here again!
The house and location were lovely! The back/side yard was perfect for my well mannered dogs! Hosts were accessible and helpful whenever we needed them. The town is amazing! McMinnville and OR are worth the visit!! Great wine Country!
This is a great house in a fabulous location. Charming with nice furnishings. Walk to all the great restaurants and bars in McMinnville. The house is well equipped with everything you need. I will stay again!!
We had a wonderful visit, the home is charming and comfortable with lovely beds and linens. The home is located close to the bustling downtown, easily walked to eateries and parks. We would love to stay again!
Great property! Charming cottage that was in exceptional shape. Perfect location for walking to local restaurants and shops. It was also walking distance to the shuttle for the McMinnville Wine and Food Classic.
Property is great. Wonderful location. Came for a family wedding. Our kids live just down the block. Would definitely rent again.
Great place to stay for a wonderful experience of this beautiful area
This home is even more beautiful than the photos expressed. Warm woodwork throughout, still with vintage built ins, spacious bedrooms for this era of home, a very comfortable king bed (and I am the princess and the pea picky), lots of thoughtful details including many hooks on the wall as you enter the front door, nicely appointed kitchen, and a mud/laundry as you enter in back for tidying yourself or wiping wet paws. We most certainly will look for the availability of this home again if we are invited back! Thank you to our hosts, and to their wonderful house cleaner who keeps it perfect. đ
She had the Wine Country Farmhouse, and he had the Walter Link House, which is how Anita and Larry met. Well.... it was at the UFO Festival, but that's another story. The result was another vacation rental, and now another one along the way. Both are natives who grew up surrounded by the wine industry. As a kid, Anita picked grapes during harvest on one of the first vineyards in Dundee. Larry was raised on a farm in what is now the McMinnville AVA. Like Salmon, they returned after exploring the world to pursue their passion in their hometown: preserving historic properties and sharing Oregon Wine Country with the world. By joining forces - Anita's background in real estate and Larry's in construction, they have created a solid team in the growing family of Wine Country Properties.
Nestled in a charming neighborhood of historic homes, stroll two blocks to McMinnville's Famous Third Street ~ the mecca of Oregon Wine Country. Visit tasting rooms, dine in award-winning restaurants, and savor the moments sifting through local shops. Relax in a luxury 1910 craftsman home, recently restored to its turn-of-the-century charm with modern conveniences. Enjoy the peaceful setting on the front porch or BBQ in the back while dining in the Carriage House under the twinkle lights.
