Overall Great Experience

The place was beautiful and very clean. Our pet loved the private sandy backyard. The private beach bar was a nice touch, although very overpriced. The only downside was their water heater being old. We did not have running hot water, so we took cold showers. Other than that, it was a success.

Great Stay

We loved staying in this Condo. It was perfect. Great location, great views, plenty of space. We highly recommend this place. We would definitely stay again!

Called and left several messages with maintenance and main office and No one replied. Do better Sandpiper this was sad and uncalled for!🥲

Perfect location for the beach!

Large deck and easy access to beach. Also the AC is amazing, considering how hot it was outside! Kitchen area was perfect for cooking and plenty of seating area. Can’t wait to stay here again!

Bad experience, poor cleanliness and bad communication

We checked in when there was a winter freeze and Christmas eve.The property manager told us that some lines maybe frozen and they couldn't do anything about it until 3 days after Christmas. The cleanliness level was poor of the property as well. We lost water in a day and they were able to move us to a different unit, but same cleanliness level. We checked out earlier and had to argue regarding the bad experience. The views were the only thing that was good. Not worth the money they are charging, and management needs to learn how to handle customers better.

A little TLC will go a long way

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo is in a great location with a very quick walk to the beach. The beach view is exactly as pictured (limited) but it's there. The condo is styled nicely and the beds were all comfortable. A little TLC would go a long way, though, especially for the price point this condo is at. The walls are very scuffed up from furniture, and the paint is bubbled up above the sliding door. It really needs repainted from top to bottom. The floor needs completely replaced. Not only is it scratched badly, it is very soft and sinks in when you walk in the kitchen by the stove. It's even bumped up a bit to where your foot catches on it while walking. The worst part was that we found and killed 3 roaches during our stay inside the condo. Now, maybe this is common in the south, but no one else in our group of 22 saw a roach the entire time in their condo. We also found random items behind curtains in the living room and under one of the twin beds, which leads me to believe it wasn't cleaned thoroughly between guests. Overall, and mainly because of location, we enjoyed our stay. I would not book this particular condo again unless the flooring was replaced and cleanliness issues addressed.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: front door around the doorknob and keypad is filthy. Smoke detector in the hallway was hanging from the ceiling by the wires. Doorknob going into the master bathroom was very loose. The floor between the stove and island area is buckling. You can feel it giving way under your feet when you walk over it, very dangerous! More than likely there is some rotten areas under the floor. Dishwasher would not stay on. Paint above the sliding glass door is bubbling up More than likely water damage. Couch in the living area needs to clean. There is a lot of surface dirt and spills on it.I overpaid for what I got. This is the third year in a row I have stayed at Sand piper cove and this unit is by far the worst unit I have stayed in.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family of four stayed in Unit 1150 and it was perfect! The location is amazing - we walk off the back porch right onto the sand! The condo is super-clean, which is very important to me. When I come to Destin and Sandpiper Cove, all my stress disappears! We have stayed at Sandpiper Cove for several years and in this particular unit multiple times. We will be back!!

Nothing like it is advertised

1150 was great

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Check in/out super easy. Employees at Sandpiper were extremely nice and helpful. The walk to the beach was easy and convenient. There was obvious work that was just completed on other units and there was construction debris in the sand, found only 1 large nail and 1 piece of glass. Inside 1150, there is a soft spot on the floor by the stove and the fridge.

Not clean No beachfront as stated.

Not for the beach

Everything was fine except the beach. Even though it is private beach the management does not manage the beach side because the condo is owned by individual owner. It was much better to stay at Hilton resort in the same area. The only reason we stayed at the condo was because of the pet.

We love Sandpiper Cove!

Comfortable unit

Location was great, close to everything. Walking distance to beach. Unit had washer and dryer which was great but was lacking a few of the basics like kitchen trash bags and dish sponge. Unit could have been a little cleaner. Food crumbs on kitchen chair upon arrival, hair in shower etc. Sofia bed was a bit uncomfortable but overall unit was nice.
