Time away

Great View

Perfect vacation rental for our family of 5. Only drawback to an amazing condo, and it can't be put on the property owner, is that the people directly below us smoked like fiends and there was always smoke wafting into our condo. I bought a big fan and put it on the deck to blow it away and it helped somewhat. I wanted to enjoy a peaceful breeze while watching the sunset at night but found myself not being able to. That was unfortunate.

Not our best stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at this complex for over 30 years and have stayed in many different units. This one has a perfect location for enjoying the beachviews, but the unit itself needs attention. While not dirty, the apt needs a deep clean and cosmetic repairs. We don't expect the best and newest of furnishings and towels, but updates were needed. We did enjoy the keurig and the patio, but would not stay here again.

Website says "large sundeck on ocean" - that doesn't exist! Says "shuffleboard courts" - those don't exist. No access to the beach! Promised to be available in 2023.Screen door broke first days here - still not repaired/replaced five weeks later.Poor or no communication from office. No visitor parking spaces available.Unit only superficially cleaned Answer to all of this - raise the rental cost significantly for second year in a row.

Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately as I am sure you are aware the Hurricanes from Fall 2022 destroyed the Sea Wall and landscaping near to the Beach. We have tried diligently to have everything repaired and returned to normal as quickly as possible, however we are in the hands of contractors who have been overwhelmed by the need for action throughout New Smyrna Beach and work will be completed in the next few weeks .We did send notifications to everyone who would be here over this period to inform them of the situation. Apologies if you did not receive that communication. The storm was ordered immediately on notification to the office and the vendor is awaiting delivery from the manufacturer. We will install as soon as it is delivered. As you are aware the parking spaces on the south east of the property were taken by the heavy equipment being used to replace the Sea Wall thereby causing relocation of those spaces to visitor spaces on the west of the parking lot. This leaves only 3 visitor parking spaces. We have advised everyone of alternative parking options in locations available for public use. Apologies for the cleanliness issue. Our housekeepers are usually exceptional in their service and your concerns have been forwarded to the vendor responsible. Rental rates at Sea Coast condominium remain very competitive compared to other properties in New Smyrna Beach, but rising costs and inflation will aleways drive the rental rates.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: New Smyrna Beach is a great place to visit - not crowded, good restaurants. Sea Coast 318 is good but not great. The tv in 2nd bedroom did not work. The twin beds are on wheels which makes a good sleep difficult to achieve. You have to search for bath cloths. The dishes are on a lower shelf. Sofa with so many pillows is uncomfortable to sit on. On-suite bathroom had no tp holder. Overall cleanliness not great - hair on bathroom door stop, floors in bedrooms felt gritty, kitchen closet and cabinet needs attention. Code to gate was difficult and changed so we had to go to office to get new code. Much ado is made of wrist bands, parking tags with big "threats" for not returning. Our definition of "ocean front" not the same as this condo - small balcony to view ocean. These are little things - condo served our purpose but not the best that it could be.

Thanks for the feedback The issues you have raised are concerning and have been addressed with the responsible parties.. Parking and identification rules are important to preserve the security of the property, but I apologise if you felt they were too intrusive.

Always love my stay at NSB

Our stay was about a week after hurricane Ian but has adequate communication with the office and the grounds were as they normally are, except no access to the beach. Would have like temporary access but our stay was still lovely.

Condo by the ocean

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our location was right on the ocean. Because of covid my 24 year old daughter was able to stay with me a month, priceless. I would like to rent again but not that unit. To many problems and so many things need to be fixed in that unit. Decor and furniture were outdated and old and dirty. I wasexpecting more for the price. The units need to be evaluated regularly so that they meet a standard.

Overall, we had a great stay and would go back. New Smyrna is a beautiful area with lots to do close by.

Balcony was perfect. Unit needs some upgrades. Stairs were hard to climb for older people.

Overall great pool and beach area. Nice they had umbrellas.

Disappointed this year!

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was my 8 th year in a row to stay in this unit. Positives first. There was a new couch, a new chair and a new rug in the living room. New comforters on all beds (last year). New chairs in bedrooms last year. When we walked in, we were hit with the stench of smoke. I felt sick all week because of it. The cleaners did a very poor job this year. I did not feel safe from COVID. There was mildew in the shower. There was a leaf hanging from the ceiling. There was a dead ant on the toilet seat. There was a ball of hair on the carpet in the bedroom. This unit needs a deep cleaning down to the corners. It probably needs the AC vents cleaned to get rid of smoke smell. As to the condition of the unit. A refrigerator shelf was held together with duct tape. It broke and my salsa jar fell and broke all over the floor. There were two bulbs out in one bathroom and one out in the other. One toilet did not work. You had to pull the chain inside for it to flush. Both toilets should be replaced. They are ancient. I love this unit for the location and I love the staff and the great relaxing atmosphere. For the money I paid, I was very disappointed this year. My husband wants me to find somewhere new next year but hopefully some of the things will be fixed. I hope the owners will never rent to whoever smoked in that unit again.

This is my 8th year this same unit. I would like to see a slip cover put on the couch because the couch has a soiled look. When the sofa bed is used the slip cover can be easily removed. I would also like to see a rug placed in front of stove to prevent falls occurring on wet tile. Also, the sink in master bath should be unplugged. It drains slowly. but love the unit and its location.

Overall wonderful condo

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location, homie feel, comfortable beds, end unit on the beach. My biggest concern was that the AC did not cool the entire condo the same way. The bedroom and bath areas were cool but the living area was always warm especially over the couch. The dining area is bearable because there is a fan over the table. It feels like the AC UNIT is either old or not adequate for the space. I also noticed that the couch in living area is kind of dingy. It is a cloth couch. Other than that I love the place and would still go back.
