Review of Unit 316, Sea Coast Condos

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first stay in Unit 316. Previously we had spent one- and 2- month stays in Unit 514 which apparently went to 3-month renters in 2017. We are non-smokers and were surprised that second-hand cigarette smoke could be an issue in some units. This was the case in Unit 316 where smoke emanated through a compromised wall between it and Unit 317 (occupied by an owner and smoker) and from near-by patio smokers (renters are not permitted to smoke in units) thru worn weather stripping on windows and a worn-out patio door. This contributed to many sleepless hours and a largely unenjoyable in-door experience. We were surprised that apparently no other renters had reported such an issue. Other than a largely ineffective vacuum and a shower stall that fought our best efforts to keep mould in check, the Unit was reasonably well appointed and without smoke, would have been comfortable.

Reviewer Comments: need to upgrade internet - always had to go outside to get phone calls because they dropped - If I didn't want to get dropped phone calls I had to go to the Dollar General. Impossible to get on internet. Had a odor in the kitchen cabinets, washed everything and it was still there. Weather could have been better, but overall had a great time.

The unit we stayed in this year was okay( could have been cleaner), but there are many nice units here. Love the location.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Property needs some care; patio chair seats were ripped and sagging to the metal; owner had rugs on the seats! Bedroom closets were stuffed with linens, etc, not a lot of room for clothes. No room in kitchen cabinets for our food. Kitchen window would not stay up, they had a paint stick available to hold it up. Bedroom windows were sealed shut!!! Who wants a condo on the beach that you cannot open the windows to hear the surf?? Sofa and bed were comfortable. We notified the office of these issues, he stated he would contact the owner; never heard back from him. We wanted to open the windows!!!

The staff at Sea Coast was very informative and helpful. Our room was clean when we moved in and it was exactly as it was seen in the web site photos. We were at Sea Coast for the month of March and we'd like to return for the month of March next year.

Cool Visit

Easy access to the beach was a benefit of staying at The condos. The balcony furniture should be replaced but the weather was cooler so we didn’t have a chance to sit outside anyway. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Kathy we are glad you enjoyed your stay with us. as for the stairs we are disappointed as well since they did survive Hurricane Mathew and Hurricane Irma the last two years. Most of Volusia county beaches did see damage with that storm. Thank you again and we hope to see you soon.
