Absolutely perfect flat in Paris! Couldn't possibly say enough nice things about this lovely apartment and the lovely people who make it available. Want to come back and stay here again! Clean, well-stocked, perfectly appointed, and well-located. Absolutely amazing.
A great flat in a central location to all the sights!
My mother, daughter and I stayed in this lovely flat. It was a great location with easy access to a lot of amenities and sites. It was well appointed and had everything we needed. The owner and property manager were wonderful to communicate with and provided a lot of recommendations for our trip. It was delightful.
The only negative was the bar below is quite loud during the evenings. This was easily solved with a white noise app but it is something to be aware of when planning your stay.
This property is located in the heart of Paris, close to many sightseeing destinations. It is on the first floor above the street, making it easy to access. However, because of its proximity to the street and the restaurants below, be prepared to encounter a lot of cigarette smoke when you open the windows. In addition, although there were fans, they were not adequate and there was no air conditioning.
The layout is perfect for a family with children but the second bedroom was very cramped for an adult couple.....the beds were twins but very small twins and the space was very small, smaller than it appears on the pictures online.
The building is very secure and in an excellent location for exploring Paris. We walked all over and rarely took a cab. There is an excellent Boulangerie/Patisserie within steps with excellent quiches and croissants. A supermarket is also located very nearby. Everything is handy with lots of restaurants within easy walking distance.
Julie and Marine were very helpful in getting us set up and explaining everything to us about the apartment even though it was not ready when we arrived. The apartment itself was well equipped, with plenty of glasses, plates, silverware, and cooking ware.
We were a disappointed that we had to purchase toilet paper, laundry soap, and dishwasher soap since we were only there five nights.
We couldnât find the extra 1/2 bath advertised in the listing.
My husband, two adult kids, and I stayed here for five nights in mid-May. We generally eat in for breakfast and a second meal, and the proximity of the Maison Marnay boulangerie and markets made it so easy dine "a la minute" at the apartment. And to have all of the appliances here that we're accustomed to having at home -- dishwasher, oven, microwave, Nespresso coffee maker -- contributed to the ease of eating in. But there are so many cafes, bistros, and restaurants nearby, the kitchen could simply be a place to make your morning coffee and keep your champagne chilled.
We had arrived at the apartment after 10 days of traveling elsewhere, and we needed to use the washer/dryer something awful. It wasn't working, but Marie's rep Claire had it taken care of by the next morning...laundromat visit averted! But Americans should be warned that the dryer takes much longer to do its job than what we're probably used to at home.
I have a couple of quibbles: the shower in the second bedroom (and it is truly in the bedroom) is not designed to keep the water within its confines, as there is no lip to its floor; the Chatelet-Les Halles RER/metro station, while only a five-minute walk, is not as close as I'd like (schlepping roller bags over cobblestones is literally a drag). But quibbles they are, and neither of them would keep me from staying here again nor highly recommending Marie's fantastic apartment. In fact, I'm plotting our next stay. Merci beaucoup, Marie!
Marie and Catherine are wonderful hostesses. They communicate and offer their own tips for visiting and getting around the city.
This is our second time in the apartment because it is perfect for our family and gives us space to spread out when we're taking down time on vacation.
The apartment is conveniently located with a bakery, multiple groceries, and restaurants close to the front door. It's a ten minute walk to Notre Dame and 5 minutes (or less) to the nearest Metro.
We're hoping to go back again someday.
We came with our three daughters. Perfect location, especially if you love seeing the night life right below your window. Fun and exciting people , sometimes they stay up very late.
Showers were great and so were the sleeping arrangements. One downfall- donât plan on doing too much laundry and it getting dry. She had warned us about this. Machine is small and washes and drys (kinda)
All the shops and sites are easy to access from this location. Property manager very kind, sent us a long letter when we came as to where to shop, eat, see etc. Wouldnât have minded having that email prior to arrival. It was good info and we might have planned some more things in advanced. Would definitely stay here again if life allows us to cross this path again.
Great coffee and bakery right outside your front door. Ubers can drop and pick up within 300 feet. Donât speak French at all and the people couldnât have been kinder.
Loved our stay here. Wonderful apartment with everything you might need for your stay. It could be a little noisy at night due to number of cafes and bistros below but it was not an issue for us. Would definitely stay here again.
This apartment is in a very convenient part of Paris. Easy to walk to tourist attractions, shopping and delicious restaurants. The bedrooms are a good size and the showers both work great.
The only downside would be at night if the windows are open (which in July is required), the noise level is loud with all the bars.
I would recommend this to families and couples alike. A beautiful, great apartment in a wonderful neighborhood.
Central location to museums, Seine, restaurants etc.
Terrific layout, twin beds perfect fir 2 kids
Wonderful welcome and responsive emailing in advance
Appreciated the fans in July
Overall, a great property. Family of 4, plenty of room and great location for walking and close to Metro. Only negative is the property is above a bar and restaurants, so noise can be an issue in the smaller room at night. Because of this location, smoke from downstairs can also fill the apartment when the windows are open.
We stayed six nights in this conveniently located and nicely appointed apartment. The two bedrooms were comfortable and worked perfectly for our family of three. Our teenage son enjoyed having his own space to retreat to during downtimes between visiting the sites.
Marie and Catherine were wonderful hosts. They made sure that we had all the information we needed before, upon, and after we arrived. They went so far as to provide their own helpful recommendations for restaurants and getting around the city.
The apartment has all of the basic needs--it was very clean and had the essentials (dishes, soaps, detergents, Nespresso pods, trash bags, etc.) to get started. A minimart and several groceries are quick 5 minute walks away for anything else that we needed.
The location was amazing for us since we wanted to experience Paris without the sterile confines of a hotel. A quick jaunt out the door puts you in a great little patisserie with a friendly staff. Metro was close by and taxis were easy to get nearby. However, we walked easily to and/or from places that are on most itineraries: Notre Dame, the Louvre, Luxembourg Gardens, the Picasso Museum, Centre Pompidou, Sainte Chapelle, Shakespeare and Company, etc.
We hope to visit and stay again. Thank you.
Ok so I have lived in Paris for over 8 years and am kicking myself for not finding this amaaaaaazing apartment before now. From the minute we landed Catherine was in touch, she met us at the apartment on behalf of Marie and absolutely made our checkin quick and easy. In addtion while we stayed in Paris she provided great places for us to visit and eat. I cannot say enought good things about the location, cleanliness, size of the rooms etc. Stay there and I assure you that you will have a review similar to ours!
I just responded to your survey but was unable to submit it without comment. . I am happy to respond to the survey and would appreciate being able to submit it without comment. When surveys don't permit me to respond as much as I choose, I usually just stop. This is my effort to suggest you allow us to submit without comment.
Spacious, comfortable, well-furnished, beautifully renovated,
perfect for hosting dinners for friends and conveniently located
for grocery shopping as well as access to public transportation.
In short, a definite "keeper" for future sojourns in Paris.
Apartment was exactly as pictured. Spacious enough for adult family of four for a long stay. Lots of windows. Well stocked large kitchen. Comfortable family room and dining room. Great master bedroom and bath with plenty of storage.. Second bedroom sufficient for siblings. Overall, very pleasant and easy to live in. Area was safe and tons of fun. Lots of cafes, bistros and great shops. When windows were closed , noise was not an issue. Enjoyed the music and banter with windows open. Marie was both responsive and helpful. Would highly recommend and would absolutely stay again.
We really enjoyed staying at this apartment. Great location including plenty of close grocery stores, etc., great communication with owner/property manager, apartment was as advertised. Biggest pluses: location (at least for us), well-supplied kitchen, has a washer/dryer, large master bedroom/bathroom, plenty of room in living room and dining room. Biggest negatives: the 2nd bedroom is small and a shower curtain or similar is needed for the shower in that room (otherwise, water gets all over the place). Overall, a winner.
The red door of 4 rue des Lombards became a welcome sight after a big day of walking, sightseeing and battling the crowds over the new year period. This is the perfect spot if you want to live in the midst of a very vibrant, busy part of the city. Close to public transport, but due to strikes we tended to walk or Lime scooter most places, which was also easy. Marie is a wonderful host who gave us great recommendations for places to eat and things to do. The flat is lovely and the kitchen and washing machine also helped make us feel at home. As this was our first trip to Paris, we only scratched the surface of this great city, so hope to return.
The apartment is beautiful. Marie was very responsive to our questions . Yes the restaurant patrons below the smaller bedroom are noisy into the early hours of the morning as other reviewers mentioned. The washer worked but the dryer did not. There are only two toilets not three like we thought. One is in the master suite. The second is just outside the smaller bedroom. The kitchen is well equipped and we made breakfast many mornings of our seven day stay. Excellent location for seeing the sites and walking the neighborhoods. Close to Metro. Although we were told that the taxi would drop us off at the apartment, our taxi driver refused saying it was too narrow. But we only had to walk 2 blocks with the luggage. We did see cars and small trucks driving down this narrow street. Overall we were pleased with this apartment and staying there made out first visit to Paris even more enjoyable. Merci Marie

Overall great. Some nights a little hard to sleep as it is a vibrant neighborhood with lots of bars and restaurants and activity. Still, very fun and convenient.
The hosts met us at the home on day of arrival. They were very concerned about the heatwave and making sure we were comfortable with the lack of AC.
The home is exactly as described. The unit is above a restaurant and bar so noise can be an issue when the windows are open during the summer.
We enjoyed are stay and enjoyed the location of the property as is it in easy walking distance to many sites.
A great location and place to stay. Beautifully decorated, very clean and accommodating. There is one flight of stairs to the entrance and once in you will have a great view of the walking area filled with cafeâs, shops and activity. Easy morning croissants to start your day and Marie is helpful to plan a great stay. Highly recommended.
