It was a pleasant stay. Pool wasnât open for the first two days. And the air conditioning stopped working, but EVERYTHING was taken care of immediately. Will stay again
We enjoyed our room. Nothing about our stay was as bad as the reviews we had previously read. We did not pick Hilton or Marriott, so we expected to find the typical families with typical family messes on the property. We had a wonderful time the whole week we were there. We particularly appreciated the location being accepting of pets, albeit with a 75/pet fee.
Our unit was fine, all we expected. But the property management is not great. Trash in hallways, facilities not available (hot tub, lazy river). The parking garage appears to be used for junk storage by the facility--old furniture, appliances, etc are simply left sitting in the garage. The restaurant was not open at all, and the pool tiki bar was only open one afternoon.
Room was not ready until 2 hours past check in time. Every pool/spa was shut down, Board of Health was on site removing guests from the water. Front desk staff was overwhelmed and unhelpful. Fitness facilities were over run with children and no adult supervision. Room was a nice size with a full kitchen however, the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Cleanliness lacking is really unacceptable when you charge a cleaning fee! The toilet seat and the bed were both broken. Multiple attempts to reach the host remain unanswered. I contacted VRBO directly and they provided no assistance, they too were unable to reach the host and this acted as theyâd done all the could! I will be seeking compensation, even if I have to dispute the charges.
My VRBO prepaid booking never made it past check-in. The front desk manager was argumentative with VRBO Customer Support. Evidently there was a communication problem between my VRBO host and getting my information to the front desk for my reservation. There is no assistance from the front desk to find a solution to work out the communication gaps and to find me a room for my prepaid three nights stay. My impressions of the property upon initial entry into the lobby for registration. What is that? It was dingy and not very well. Maintained to a good cleanliness standard. The location was super right on the beach with the pool. I never even made it into a room. So Iâm disappointed in the property with their front desk, manager and lack of proper guest services and poorly handled front desk administration.
