An incomparable vision of sustainable living, this luxury three-bedroom custom home lies in the heart of Sonoma Wine Country and is cradled within the contours of the ridge and emerging from the natural topography of the four-acre property.
The Space:
With high ceilings, glass walls, and abundant natural light throughout, Tula Vista, is sumptuous and eye-catching. The interior possesses a neutral palette, allowing the stunning views to abound from every room. The large expanse of glass walls serves as portals from the interior spaces to the immediate and expansive outdoor environment. The butterfly roof, remarkable in design and exceedingly functional, reaches out from the center to provide a shade from the summer sun, a shield from winter rains, and a ceiling to year-round terraces. The home is comprised of three bedrooms and three and half baths.
The Living spaces are generous and bright. All rooms are fully integrated with the outside world by way of Nanawall moveable glass wall systems; two 18â glass walls open the living and dining room for seamless indoor/outdoor entertaining and a corner wall system in the family room. The living spaces allow your group to either gather together or to find a quiet spot of solitude. The family room offers generous and comfortable seating, a fireplace, access to the wrap around terrace, and a large television for a cozy night in. Just off the family room is an entertainerâs kitchen with double gas range with copper hood, dual fuel ovens, icemaker, pantry with a second sink, and island seating for three. The living and dining rooms share and are divided by a dual sided, floor to ceiling rammed-earth fireplace. The dining room offers round table seating for up to eight. The living room provides a space for beautiful conversations, enjoying the view, or stepping out onto the terrace at sunset. There are also numerous beautiful places to work on your laptop as well as two workspaces: one just off the family room and the second in the third sleeping space.
Each bedroom generously offers remarkable views. The primary bedroom is equipped with a California King-sized bed, a corner glass wall system leading to the private terrace, a Spark fireplace, and an ensuite bath with zoned heating, shower with full height window creating the feeling of indoor/outdoor showering, freestanding soaking tub, dual sinks and a private water closet with heated seat. The second guest room provides a queen-sized bed, a reading space, a smart television, and utilizes the sizable hall bath with shower over tub. The third sleeping space has so much to offer! This private space is the only room on the upper floor. It boasts the following amenities: A new & generously sized L-shaped sofa; equipped with a very comfortable queen-sized sofa bed, fireplace, smart television with Sonos sound bar, a sizable desk/workspace, a private patio with cold plunge and access to the Tula Vista private trail leading to the overlook, and an ensuite bath with walk-in shower.
The headliner of this amazing property is the outdoors. Tula Vista is set on 4 ± acres amongst ancient oaks and designed to maximize the southwestern exposure and private views. The Tula Vista grounds are unmatched. The pool and spa are sited along the natural topography of the land, allowing the numerous old oak trees to define the intermittent, naturally cultivated landscapes. The pool with saline chlorinating system, waterfall, hot tub, oyster shell bocce court, and pig pong table will surely entertain; along with the nearby wood-burning pizza oven and casual dining space for six. The back terrace is generous and can easily accommodate outdoor gatherings and seated dinners with sunset views of Mt Hood and Bennett Mountain. Extensive and abundant gardens encompass the house with custom raised vegetable bed and flower cutting garden, multiple fruit trees including apple, pear, pomegranate, peach and cherry. There are also vines of table grapes, olive trees for oil, and bountiful plantings of lavender and rosemary.
