Cette maison de 3800 pieds carrés en bord de mer offre une intimité avec une entr��e cach��e et dispose d'une magnifique piscine design face �� l'oc��an. Parfait pour la famille, les autres caractéristiques comprennent un den bonus �� l'��tage, id��al comme une salle TV / BluRay ou aire de jeux, ascenseur, une v��randa et une terrasse surplombant l'océan. La cuisine est entièrement ��quipée avec des appareils en acier inoxydable, des planchers de bois franc et une machine à glace; la salle à manger peut accueillir 10 avec deux sièges suppl��mentaires au bar. Cette propri��t�� dispose également d'une télévision à écran plat dans chaque chambre et Internet sans fil. Beautiful Location

The home was beautiful amazing location. It needs maintenance and some cleaning. The property managers were very helpful and we enjoyed our stay.

Great location!

We stayed there previously a few years ago and noticed the kitchen and furniture updates on this visit. You can't beat the view and location, and the house is comfortably furnished. A very well equipped home on a beautiful beach.

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our beach house very much. It was well equipped and had plenty of room for our group of 12. The pool was especially nice after a hot day on the fantastic beach. The management company provided both bed and bathroom linens. There were no beach towel so make sure to bring them. Also even though it was a house for 12 the management company just provided one kitchen dish towel which seemed a little odd for 12 people especially considering how much the house cost per week to rent. Make sure you bring some or be prepared to buy your own. We also rented 2 beach umbrellas and 5 beach chairs from "Beach and Games to go" as there were no umbrellas and only 2 beach chairs at the house.The house is in a fantastic location. I would recommend it.

Disappointing house

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great view of the ocean but unfortunately this house has not been kept up to the standards we expected. Furniture in the tv areas are lumpy and uncomfortable.Seating on the deck was a mis match of tacky uncomfortable chairs.Sheets didn't fit the beds. Noisey air conditioner off master bedroom.Decks off the upper bedrooms were locked due to ongoing construction. (It would have been nice if this was disclosed to us before we arrived...however the management did give us a small discount off the rental.

Great location and house, but needs upkeep

Terrific house right on the beach in a superb location. Lots of room, great kitchen appliances, good AC and bathrooms. But the house is a bit tired, needs to be cleaned better, and needs instructions for the music system and for the elevator (which was broken when we arrived. The property had not been cleaned sufficiently..... used dental floss in the master bedroom, dirty tissue on the floor, and the pool area had used drinking glasses, the furniture was dirty, and the garbage bins under the house were overflowing. Additionally, the linens in the master bedroom didn't fit the bed well. With some attention this could be a terrific house, but it really needs better care.

The sound of the ocean in a wonderful home

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home is exactly what's in the photos. On the ocean.Plunge pool is perfect. Endless beach. Dolphins at sunrise. Incredibly equipped kitchen and lovely decor throughout. Appreciated fast wi-fi and cable options and games and puzzles. Island Realty very responsive with questions/extras. Our only (and minor) critique is that when we reported on the first night that 4 of 5 exterior deck lights were out, they were never replaced.I even reported it again, with no response. That made for a dark deck and no lights to work on our puzzle in the screened in porch. I mentioned this at check-out too. No apology given. That seemed odd.

Reviewer Comments: Positives- large house for a group, location great with amazing views, walking distance to restaurants and barsNegatives- home needs much attention, seems that very little is put back into it each year...Carpet filthy upstairs with stains , didn’t want my grandson crawling on itBedrooms upstairs were large but lacked basic things (one bedroom didn’t even have a lamp)Master bedroom had lamps with holes in the shades and nothing to hold the shades in place Linens are provided however this is the first “beach home with pool” that we’ve stayed in that doesn’t supply beach towels. Had to purchase beach towels for all of us and then purchase a bag to bring them home.Chairs around the pool were plenty but in bad shape. Had to rent chairs for the beach which was an extra expense. This house had nothing to take to the beach. As a family that flies into Charleston from out of state we need the home to be well equipped and not a place we have to purchase things like beach towels. No where in the homes description does it say this. Just bad advertising. Isle of Palms is a wonderful place and we love the beauty of the island. We had a great time but would not rent 518 Ocean Blvd again. Just our opinion but a rental home with this price tag should offer more amenities and be more of an experience than let down.

Awesome Stay!

It was the most relaxing vacation to hear the sound of the ocean all day. The accommodations were exceptional and it was close enough to Charleston that we could spend time there as well. The staff at Island Realty were welcoming and upbeat when picking up our arrival information. Highly recommend!

Family Reunion House

Rooms were spacious, furnishings were comfortable and the kitchen was well supplied with cooking utensils. The second fridge was essential for our gathering of 8 adults and 4 children. The property managers were extremely responsive to my concerns from the moment we checked in. The pool had not been cleaned or serviced upon arrival. The property managers kept us informed of the situation and got the pool working. There were some maintenance issues regarding windows that wouldn't open and some cabinets missing knobs etc. Overall the house was clean and everything functioned.We would definitely consider renting this property again and I'd use Island Realty again because of their customer service and professionalism.

Reviewer Comments: We stayed at the above 518 Ocean Blvd last week, leaving yesterday. Rental was 20K for the week. We have been visiting IOP almost yearly for 35 years and have stayed along Ocean Blvd (ocean front) for at least 18 years. Although the bathrooms were clean (no problems there), the kitchen cooking vessels and utensils were horrid. I have never experience cookie sheets put away in a cabinet that had not been cleaned... outlines of breadsticks with bread attached, greasy cooking pots, pans, etc with baked on sludge, one pan with actual fuzzy mold growing on the surface (pic included), even some eating utensils that were not clean. We had to basically wash by hand everything we intended to use. Glassware, mugs, etc were fine, as well as the plates and bowls. We even had to clean the stove top... covered in grease and the grease filter looked like it had never been cleaned. The ovens needed to be cleaned but we did not do it. The house sleeps up to 12 people, yet there was not a corning ware type baking dish to hold food for that amount, only three lasagna dishes that were NOT clean and one small covered dish.We had to call for a laundry basket, as there was not one. I assume one would conclude that a party of 10-11 would be washing towels, clothes, etc. Some of the lower cabinet shelves in the kitchen were hanging on with only two shelf supports and would easily fall down if one pulled out a pan for use.The upstairs bed sheets were very thin. My sisters were afraid they would rip apart upon use at bedtime. The master closet was 85% used as a storage space for pillows, blankets, and bed linen and therefore crowded for the guest. Very unappealing.The living room furniture was sad. One bottom pillow on a chair was ripped and the sofa appeared to be at the end of its use. There was no small table between the chairs for drinks. There were no blinds or drapes for the ocean front area for either privacy or turtles. Is there a property manager that ever checks

Bedrooms are sensible and laid out well with beds and ample space in each room ti move around. I appreciate that there are no extra futons, sleeper sofas etc shoved into rooms to bump up # it sleeps.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented 518 Ocean with another family that has 2 small children and an infant. The house was a good size for all of us. The pool was perfect after a day at the beach. The kitchen was well stocked but could use a few more non breakable tumblers. We had an issuer with the freezer leaking and they attempted to repair it. It wasn't a problem for us as we weren't using the freezer and there was a backup ice maker. The leak onto the kitchen floor was annoying and as a homeowner I was concerned about damage to the hardwood floors. It was a nice house and we would stay in it again.

Fun Family Vacay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great oceanfront home that is well stocked and well maintained. The pool area is fantastic and beach access couldn’t be better. The kitchen is well stocked but could use new knives or a sharpener. Needs a casserole dish or large bowl that will fit in the microwave. Two refrigerators is a must in a house this size and both were well used and much appreciated! Our only complaint was with the bedroom that has a queen bed with a footboard. Anyone six feet or taller can not sleep comfortably in a bed with a footboard above the mattress. That room is large enough for a king sized bed and should have one. Due to our family needs we will likely rent a home with more king size beds and fewer twin beds in the future. But overall this a fantastic beach house and if the bed configuration worked for us better we would absolutely rent it again.

It looked like the ceiling was about to fall through onto the bed. We weren’t made aware of this before we stayed. There were also several cockroaches every day throughout the house that we had to killl. The crew came to spray a few areas but it didn’t help. We were also not made aware that they have a big issues with cockroaches before we stayed there.

End of An Era

We have many good memories and have always enjoyed our stay. 518 was like our home away from home. Awesome views. Awesome location. However, over the years we have repeatedly informed management of noticeable deterioration and lack of maintenance of this property. Simple things from replacing light bulbs to purchasing a $5 shower head for the outside showers, with no response. The entrance way (front steps) are a hazard. Loose boards and one actually falling off. Had a major issue with palmetto bugs in the house this year. Never a problem in the past. All the while the price has gone up dramatically. Weeds all around the pool area. Little to no attention to landscaping. I was once a property manager so seeing these issues over the years with no response is disappointing. Beautiful home needs a lot of work and updating. The rental cost of this home does not match its condition.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home has some nice features like high-end appliances, a great location on Ocean and a nice pool but it really lacked some essential amenities that we’ve had in other oceanfront homes that were less expensive on the island. The home needs repairs in nearly all bathrooms (faucet handles broken, massive water damage around showers, tub/shower converter broken so cannot switch water to bathing, etc), the kitchen needs a large restock of cooking utensils and baking sheets. We only saw 3 coffee mugs for a home with 5 bedrooms but as we were leaving noticed the pantry had a few more but again not easy to find. The toaster is rusted out and we couldn’t find some necessary kitchen tools like a full set of measuring cups or scissors. The kitchen is nice but just needs replenishment. The other issue was light control on the windows (not all bedroom windows had drapes/shades) and upstairs bedrooms were underfurnished. All beds don’t have a side table and reading light so we propped a little stool by one and moved a lamp from elsewhere in the house on to it. The main sofa is pulling apart at the seams but is comfortable. As a side note, I wish the screen porch sat more than 4 when you have a 5 bedroom home. It just seemed like the house was set up for 4 but sleeps 10. Also, there were old water bottles and chip bags from previous tenants under one bed but generally clean. I just expected better for the price. It’s the most expensive home we’ve rented and least maintained or repaired.

Great Stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location, lends for a private beach experience. Great set up for multiple families. Some of the furniture, especially the main couch on level 1, dresser in the bedrooms, and shower door need to be looked at and should be replaced. Overall, besides small small inconveniences , the house was clean and a great rental.

Summer vacation

The proximity to the beach, private pool, deck and screened porch made for a wonderful week.
