The location is excellent, on the water, the grounds are beautifully maintained. The pool is nice to have and the boat launch is very convenient. The neighborhood only allows a certain number of short-term rentals. It's very clear that the homeowners do NOT like short term rentals. They made that very clear. There were several unpleasant interactions. We were a family of 5. All adults, well behaved, not loud, we were respectful of the grounds, the property and amenities. There were several unfriendly and a few very friendly people. We were yelled at by a homeowner asking in the dark "where are you going!! I said, where are you going??" We were just walking back from another home in the area where we had dinner. We were not loud and it was only 9pm. We were told we had more than the "allotted" number of cars parked at the house. We had 4 cars and they all fit in the driveway. We passed several houses that had 6-8 cars. When I arrived at the house there was, laundry in the dryer and the washer, the dishwasher was full of clean dishes and the old coffee grounds were still in the coffee pot.I will say that the property manager was very prompt with a response and apologetic about the condition of the house and the complaints about the cars. She did refund our cleaning deposit. But we felt unwelcomed, and it put a damper on what should have been a fun family vacation. Not likely to return to Sun Cove.
