The pool was coming apart, the kitchen was dirty with old food on the refrigerator, cabinets, and plates. The outdoor furniture was infested with some kind of insects we got bit all over while sitting on the couches outside. The furniture also had burn holes in them and were very very old.
Property management is dismissive when it comes to issues in the Property. An additional fee was payed for pool heating however pool/spa was never heated.
Property management was notified and all that they responded was that their pool management company confirmed the pool heating was on.
The property management office is just a short distance from rental property yet no one came out to the Property to verify pool heating was not working. No refund offered and no concern at all for false advertising.
Overall we were very happy with this property. The house and yard were actually more spacious than we expected. (Sometimes listing photos can be deceptive). Nice pool & hot-tub - although you have to pay extra to have them heated. Only a couple of issues. As some other people have noted there are some minor upkeep issues, although nothing serious. Also be aware that the property is quite close to the airport and flights start early in the morning.
It was our anniversary and all our family flew in. We met in Palm Springs, and wanted to come back to visit after 40 years. Comfortable accommodations. The pool was a lifesaver, as it was 112 degrees most days. Fun city to visit, and relax in. Great neighborhood, and close to the airport.
The vacation was tailored for our needs, a quiet place, massive sliders for outdoor gazing. A partially shaded pool area to get away from the sun when you get that first burn. Very mid-century original decor. Staff responded very quickly for the operation of the heater in the pool. Good value, perfect location.
The house was in a great location, had a very nice layout, and was well furnished. However, we were disappointed with the level of maintenance. For example, several bathroom fixtures were loose and/or peeling, one of the sliding doors was stiff to the point of being impractical to use, the pool light was not functional (for nighttime swimming), multiple light bulbs were burned out, wobbly table top in dining room, etc. There was no drain stopper for the beautiful jacuzzi tub shown in the master bathroom pictures, and no one returned our call regarding this from the property management company. The backyard landscaping was not maintained despite pictures in the listing showing beautiful grass. There were weeds growing out of control in the grass, and the lack of any backyard maintenance meant lots of debris blowing into the pool. (Gardener was expected to come but never did.) The overall cleanliness was good inside, but there was a lot of pet hair on couch surfaces especially in the room off the kitchen. The backyard furniture was not well maintained/cleaned. We cleaned the patio table before use, and used pool towels to sit on the poolside furniture/cushions which were very discolored, worn and covered in pet hair. There was also an insect problem in one of the bedrooms which the management company sent someone to investigate. Food couldn't be left on the kitchen counter or small bugs would appear pretty quickly. Side note: beware the colorful kitchen mugs are pretty, but they are not microwave safe. Overall this home was nice and pleasant, but because of the noted multiple maintenance items we we would not return here.
The house was ok. Blinds and other finishes are cheap. Blind slats fall off and there is a stash of broken ones under the sink. Outside chairs were broken, no extra sheets although we were told there would be plenty. We got no advice about whether or not to pay the extra money to heat the pool and spa. Yes, the pool is too cold to swim in, the spa isnât a spa without heat. This seems like a cheap trick since the house is quite expensive anyway. That said, when we complained, the management company was very responsive, furnishing new chairs, sheets and even a coffee pot. Aside from these minor inconveniences, we were very comfortable.
Well equipped kitchen, but bring your own shampoo, soap, etc. Plenty of towels are otherwise a comfortable large place. They bedrooms are all good sized!
The house was nice and large, and the pool and hot tub were enjoyable. A couple pieces of furniture were a little more run down than we expected, along with some things like baths/showers, but overall a good place to stay.
We enjoyed our stay at the home titled Beautiful Palm Springs. We worked through McLean Company, who were great to deal with, providing excellent customer service. There were a couple of problems, primarily dealing with the pool heater and the home HVAC system. In both cases, McLean made sure the pool company was called to fix the problem (they had to come twice), and that the HVAC issue was addressed (unfortunately, this couldn't be fixed until after we left). We liked the privacy, being on a cul de sac, and the proximity of the home to downtown Palm Springs. All in all, it was a lovely home, and we would come back again.
