Second stay at this gem

This was our second year staying here and it was absolutely as amazing as the first time. This property is gorgeous, we love the easy walk to the beach, and the dock for fishing is excellent. The views from the back deck can’t be beat!

Beautiful house and spectacular views

Our family really enjoyed staying at your home. It is absolutely beautiful inside and out. Stunning views everywhere you looked. I also appreciated the fact that if I had any questions or concerns you got back to me almost immediately and the issue was resolved quickly. I would highly recommend this house to any wishing to visit Folly Beach. Would definitely stay here again.

Beyond wonderful

If you are a wildlife enthusiast with a nautical twist, this is the place for you. The cycles of nature moves with the tides and you have a front row dock for it. Glorious in every way. :-)

What a beautiful home! We really enjoyed our stay and would love to return. It was so peaceful. Love the dock and the home felt very welcoming. Short walk to the beach. Loved the sunsets. Very calming.

Tidal River

Watching the tidal marsh changes was something we haven't experienced before. It was so pretty. Oyster beds, birds, and an 800 ft dock, wow.

Had a wonderful time & hated to leave to go home. House was just right for us—beautiful and clean. Loved the floors and the long pier. Beautiful views across the marsh from the deck and a short walk to the beach. Had great weather too 😊

We had a great get away. We love the beach but being on the marsh gave us the best of worlds. We loved sitting out on the dock.

Beautiful place to stay

We enjoyed the wildlife and the peace and quiet. We walked across the street to the beach each day. Our host, Michele, communicated well and was very helpful.

Beautiful house, great location

This was our 3rd time staying. The location is great and the pics do not do the house justice. It is clean and nicely appointed. It’s definitely our go to while at Folly!

Family favorite stay

This was my family’s favorite beach trip ever and the most relaxing trip I’ve ever had. Fishing right out back, which also turned out to be the best place to watch the sunset. Short walk to the beach. Everything you need to eat at the house if you don’t want to go out, but close to local dining if you do. We can’t wait to return next year.

Relax and reset

We enjoyed the time to disconnect from the rest of the world. The property had breath taking views. Walking distance from the beach was a huge perk! Property was stocked with everything we needed to really enjoy family time.

Great Stay and Tide TV

Perfect home for our family who wanted beach time, paddleboarding, running, surfing, Charleston visits and some meals in. The home is just as described and was very comfortable. Michelle communicated in a very timely manner and was super nice. The major bonus was was what we called Tide TV as we watched the pure beauty of the tidal River — the oyster beds being exposed at low tide, birds hunting for a meal, small fish returning as the tide rises and the larger fish close behind them - nature in all its glory. The pavilion at the end of the dock was great to launch paddle boards and have a picnic dinner while watching the setting sun. The home was also well equipped for visiting the beach and saving room in your vehicle by not having to bring beach chairs, beach towels, beach cart, boogie boards, fishing rods, etc.. Great home, great location at Washout, great Host. The weather was not good for most of the week, but this house allowed us tremendous flexibility as we had so many options.

Veterans Day Weekend Trip to Folly

Lovely home/property in quiet cul de sac with parking available. Love the long pier, decks & scenery facing the Folly River & the upstairs den to relax. Kitchen has all the pots, pans, & utensils to cook meals. 3 areas to enjoy your meals: kitchen bar, outside screened in porch & upstairs indoor dining table. Always enjoy our stay at this wonderful home.

Peaceful Stay

The house was perfect in so many ways. As soon as we arrived, I felt like we just relaxed. For several days in a row, we got to experience the most beautiful sunsets that seemed to go on forever. I loved the layout of the house with the deck overlooking the water and the different living areas. We rented bikes and it was a short bike ride to explore the town and eat at the restaurants. And the beach across the street was an easy walk and continued our relaxation.

Fantastic...again!

Back again for year #2 at this great house and it felt like we never left...in the best possible way! Super private, everything you need, awesome dock from which you can swim/boat/fish/lay in the sun/listen to music/etc...and watch amazing sunsets every night! Magical getaway!

Our family stayed here last week and it was the most incredibly magical experience! There was more than enough room for me and my husband and our two kids (5&8). The location, a very short walk to the beach, the view, the furnishings and decor, the little helpful amenities that were included (beach chairs and towels, etc), made for a truly unforgettable time. We will be back for sure! Thank you so much!

Awesome place!

Amazing location and fantastic house with everything you need...including the best "backyard" you could have and an owner who was super-accommodating and hospitable. We'd go back to this same place (and likely will) and recommend it to anyone heading to the Charleston area. Just the right size for our family of 4. Real easy walk to the beach. Other reviews are accurate - when it's high tide the beach shrinks to almost nothing (and literally nothing if the wind is blowing strong enough)...but that's when the "backyard" with the dock out in the water becomes your second beach! Really appreciate all of Michele's hospitality and accessibility!

Charming House, easy walk to beach

The house is delightful, decorated with brightly colored art and fabrics, along with knick-knacks that show a sense of fun. The couches are comfortable, the beds are comfortable, with fat and flat pillows provided (which made me and my husband happy, in that order). Upstairs and downstairs sitting areas gave the young adults some privacy from the older folks and vice versa. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking. Sunsets off the back deck are gorgeous and it's a very short walk to the beach - just far enough to not be bothered by traffic. The owner is gracious and responsive. Unequivocally recommended.

Perfect place for our family beach week!

I couldn’t be happier with the house and location. First, the house was perfect for my husband and me and our daughter and her family. There was plenty of space so we were all able to have quiet time and spread out. Second, it was one of the most well stock kitchens I have had in rental houses. Everything we needed to cook great dinners. Third, the dock was great. We brought kayaks and fishing equipment we used off the dock. A great place for sunset viewing, too! Finally, the location from the beach was good. I was worried it would be too far, but it was fine. You have to pay attention to the tide charts for the beach closest to the house because when tide is high, there is not much beach. It wasn’t a problem for us at all. I am already planning to book again!

This home is our little piece of heaven. As our children have so much going on in their lives, we find ourselves using it less and less. We live nearby in Summerville and own a restaurant that we have had for 36 years.

It's a great place to relax and unwind in a quiet, natural setting. Lot of wildlife to see. Great for the soul! Perfect for a romantic getaway, family vacation or a trip to Charleston with friends.

200 yards from the beach. Intimate setting, 180 degree views of the folly river, Morris island lighthouse and Sullivan's island lighthouse. Amazing sunsets! Immediate stress relief.
