Great location in Folly Beach next to Bert's Market and short walk to beach.

Omar and Julia have done a great job with the restoration of this wonderful property. Perfect for a couple or small family. Very convenient location, clean and comfortable. Highly recommend this property!

Easy access to "Downtown Folly", one block beach access, next to greatest island store (Berts) and island tacos (Chico). We travel to Folly every year for the Surfers Healing event and this place is our favorite place to date.

Folly Beach New year

The house at 206 E Ashley is small but perfect for the two of us. Two blocks from the ocean, short walk of two blocks to Center Street, and near Bert's grocery. Excellent location and accommodations.

Comfortable, convenient, clean & beautiful decor!

Loved staying there, easy walk to beach & restaurants and grocery store. Rode our bicycles all over island from lighthouse to county park. Great place to relax n live the beach life!

Best little beach house

The wife and I love this place. So close to the beach and Main Street. Being next to the market was helpful. The house was very cozy. This will be out first pick every time we come here

Size and amenities were perfect for myself, daughter and dog. Being next to Bert’s and 2 minutes to the beach made the location great. Omar was very easy to work with. I would stay here again.

Great location with an easy walk to the beach and a short drive to downtown Charleston. Very tastefully decorated. Could use a deep clean/ refresh of some things. Overall, would stay again.

Close to the beach and all the Folly Beach fun

The property is located very close to the beach, next door to a 24 hour market, and within walking distance from all that Folly has to offer. The hosts were incredibly helpful and very responsive when answering questions. We loved the decor, and we really appreciated the washer and dryer. Our family of 4 looks forward to staying here again!

Responsive Hosts!

The location of the property is fantastic. It's a quick walk to the beach and to many delightful restaurants. Bert's Market is next door and has everything you need for your stay and friendly service. The hosts are responsive and we can say they will do whatever they can to ensure you have a nice stay in Folly. We had a great time exploring the area and would return.

Fun getaway weekend!

Cutest cottage for our first time at Folly Beach! Julia and Omar were very responsive and even met us in person on our first day welcoming us. Location was exactly as described and within walking distance to everything from the beach to all the cute restaurants/bars! Also loved having Berts Market right next door to grab a yummy breakfast sandwich or a quick item that we needed for our stay! Will come back for sure :)

We’d give it 10 stars, but there’s only 5 stars available

Really convenient, super cute, and clean! Great and nicely stocked kitchen. The porch was wonderful for our dogs too. It’s great for small families with older kids. Our daughter loves being able to run next door to Berts if she wanted a snack.

Hospitality and LOCATION!

The owners were more than accommodating. We had all the amenities and space we needed. The weather was colder than normal for this time of year and of course the last day it warmed up. We asked if we could stay an extra day and they graciously allowed us and the transaction was a breeze. Folly is a great place to stay, visit, and live. Cheers!

Parents Weekend Getaway

Overall a lovely stay. Property is quaint and exactly what we were looking for. A short drive into Charleston and location to the beach and local life excellent. We would stay here again for sure. Only recommendations would be to address the bathroom ceiling and the screened porch door. Esthetically not pleasing to have the water stains/mold on the ceiling and would have been nice to enjoy the screened porch more. Only minor issues but clean and comfortable for our needs!

This property was perfectly located and accurately described. The property was tastefully appointed. Highly recommended.. I want to send a special shout out to the hosts. They were absolutely fantastic. Communication was perfect. We were stranded in South Carolina due to the gas shortages. Julia and Omar went out of their way to find us another location to spend a few more days until we could get home. I cannot tell you how much that was appreciated.

Authentic Folly Beach Experience

If you are looking for an authentic Folly Beach stay, then you have found the right place! This 1940s cottage has all the modern amenities you need while still capturing the charm of a beach cottage during that era! Beds were super comfortable as well as linens. Plenty of towels! The screened in porch is ideal for people watching, and you will get a lot of it which we adored! Being right next to the downtown area, and Berts you will not need your vehicle. Everything is within short walking distance and super convenient. Walk to the beach is minutes and the surf was amazing! Please stay here, you will be so happy just like we are. Thanks Omar!

Location is EVERYTHING

We LOVED our stay at Folly Beach and will definitely be back. The location of the home was perfect for both the quick walk to the beach everyday and the nightly trips downtown for dinner. Bert's being right next door is an added bonus. Sweet treats after dinner were always on our agenda. We enjoyed coffee on the front porch before it got too hot each morning too. The extra chairs and umbrella for the beach were much appreciated. An outside shower would be AMAZING, but the hose was sufficient. There were a few hiccups with the house -- (1) light does not work in bathroom, A/C vent drips in bathroom, the bathroom sink was clogged, dishwasher does not open all of the way, no beach towels (as listed on VRBO), the lawn was quite high and the washer is quite noisy and timely (4+ hrs to wash and dry a load). It should also be noted that the grille is charcoal and you will need to bring your own charcoal and lighter fluid. There is no metal spatula for the grill either. Also, we just happened to realize when trash day was as everyone else's cans were out because the outside cans were FULL upon our arrival. Overall, a lovely decorated home with the necessary amenities and close to everything.

Charming Beach Bungalow - Great Location!

My husband and I stayed with our two dogs for my 30th birthday! Such a charming little bungalow - beautifully decorated, equipped with the essentials and convenient to just about everything! The bungalow sits on a very sizable, grassed and level lot (Perfect for dogs. Just wish it was fenced!). A quaint market/convenient store is directly next door. Bert's Market is open 24 hours, has everything you need, FREE coffee, plus an over the counter to-go restaurant. Absolutely delicious and we took full advantage being right next door! (Note that there is lush landscape separating the bungalow from the market. So although you have the convenience, you still have privacy!) You are also about 2 blocks from the beach, two blocks from an incredible spa (I got the best facial from Folly Beach Medi Spa!) and about 3 blocks from the main strip. Inside, the bungalow was quaint and small - but the space is very smartly used. There was even a small children's corner complete with toys and games. Such a sweet touch! We enjoyed the enclosed front porch and comfortable beds. The bungalow was clean and inviting - there were even a few nice snacks and bottle of wine awaiting our arrival. Checkout was a BREEZE. There is no checklist. None. Pack your bags - and you're on your way! The negatives: Just like any other older, historic home at the beach - the bungalow could use some minor upgrades/updating. The screened door leading to the porch gets caught on the brick stairs. The shower is very small, my husband had an interesting time fitting. Some of the interior could use some fresh paint. The large back deck is begging for more inviting/comfortable outdoor furniture. However, all these items were very easy for us to overlook! Highly recommend and we'll be back!

Our stay was amazing! Julia and Omar were extremely responsive. During our stay, there was a mechanical issue with an appliance and they were extremely accommodating and got someone over to repair the issue the same day. The location of this house is amazing: the proximity to Bert’s, beach access, and restaurants made our trip so easy. We have never stayed at the same rental property twice, but are already talking about when we can return to their place!
