Enjoy seclusion, beautiful turquoise lake views and year round recreation at your northern Michigan get-away! Fox Hill Cottage is a private, all- sports lakefront retreat surrounded by nature. Just 3 hours from metro Detroit, it's the perfect destination to unwind, cozy- up or get outdoors in beautiful Wolverine Michigan!

Fox Hill sits on 1.5 natural wooded waterfront acres with lake views from most rooms in the house. Bald eagles are frequently spotted, along with loons, fox and other woodland creatures. Please contact us with any questions you may have about Fox Hill Cottage-- we'd love to share this special place with you!

Guests enjoy a truly private setting with lake frontage, dock, swim raft, use of kayaks, giant floating "lily pad", fishing poles and water toys. Non water amenities include: Ping-pong table, bonfire pit, snow shoes, sleds, giant tree swing, yard games, board games, puzzles and more! There is year- round fun and adventure to be found here!

An easy (and scenic) drive to Petoskey, Harbor Springs Tunnel of Trees, Lake Michigan beaches, local wineries, Mackinaw, Indian River, Charlevoix and more! Within a 25 minute drive to multiple ski resorts; Boyne Mountain, Nubs Nob, Boyne Highlands, Otsego and Tree Tops.

Recreation and adventure at your doorstep! The Sturgeon River runs through Wolverine with fishing and water sports a quick 5 minute drive or less. Fox Hill benefits from close proximity to a large network of ORV trails, Tomahawk and North Central Trail.

Enjoy the spring fed crystal clear waters of all-sports Silver Lake. In addition to private lake frontage and dock, there is a sandy, shallow neighborhood beach a 5 minute walk down Friendly Drive (1/2 mile). Boat launch is at the Silver Lake DNR Lake Access-- please verify your boat size to confirm if on site docking will be available. Please note there are multiple (69) steps to the lakefront and dock area.

Cute lake house!

Very nice getaway for me and my friends, love the fire pit and crystal clear waters of the lake! We all thought the beds were very comfy and also enjoyed the outdoor shower. We’re big cooks so the kitchen setup and grill were greatly appreciated. The week we visited was unfortunately too cold to swim much but we still had a lovely stay!

Perfect northern Michigan vacation!

We stayed for a week in August as a party of 4 adults, two kids and our pups. The house was very clean and cozy and had all we needed! The beds and linens were very comfortable and all slept really well. We enjoyed cooking meals together, relaxing on the dock, swimming, kayaking and exploring the property. We even got to see the northern lights while listening to owls calling! Liz was great to communicate with to arrange our stay and offer advice for the area. We anlso enjoyed exploring restaurants and beaches in Petoskey, Charlevoix and Good Hart. We can’t wait to come back!

Amazing lake retreat

We spent a week at the property and loved everything about it. The kayaks and lily pad kept the kids and adults entertained for hours. The lake was beautiful, tranquil and super clean. The house is gorgeous with stunning views, we loved having morning coffee on the deck and wine in the evening by the fire pit. Everything is well decorated, cozy and there were plenty of towels, kitchen supplies and games. We really appreciated how tidy and well stocked everything was. This place is a gem. We’ll be back for sure.

Beautiful relaxing stay!!

This is the perfect michigan getaway! So peaceful and relaxing. There is something to do for everyone. Whether its fishing, swimming, kayaking or exploring all the adorable towns and shops. Only 45 minutes away from mackinac city and only 28 minutes to petoskey. The lake is so clear and so pretty. My family had a blast swimming and fishing and playing ping pong. We also enjoyed having campfires around the fire pit. Very clean and awesome communication. We had more fun on this vacation than our trips to Florida. You wont regret staying here!

Gorgeous Cottage, Thoughtful Hosts!

We (2 seniors, 2 adults, 2 kids under 5) spent 6 nights in The Fox Hill Cottage and it exceeded all expectations! Each day, we either enjoyed the lake or took an upper Michigan roadtrip. Close enough for day trips to Petoskey, Charlevoix, Traverse City, Sault Ste. Marie (Soo Locks), St. Ignace, and Mackinac Island - we saw it all. The cottage was clean, the linens were white and spa quality, and the beds and couches were very comfortable. There were puzzles, games, and toys galore for all ages! The kayak was so lovely in the evening, and the dock and floater were so nice to have to ourselves. Every detail was considered from a safety perspective, and as a mom of an autistic toddler who elopes, I can almost never say that! It was so nice to not be on edge, and keep finding wonderful surprise amenities. This is one elegant cottage full of fun in every season. Thank you, Liz, for making our stay absolutely memorable...

We were born and raised in Michigan and have enjoyed creating a vacation space for our family and guests to vacation in Norther Michigan. Liz is a licensed Realtor in Michigan, with a long history of professionalism and customer care in real estate and housing related services. Fox Hill Cottage is our home away from home; we enjoy the lake year- round, tap our maple trees in the late winter, stargaze the amazing dark skies of Wolverine, hike and love to visit nearby Lake Michigan beaches on the hunt for Petoskey stones!

We have spent many years vacationing with our children in this area of Northern Michigan. Wolverine is an excellent location for year- round activities, including beaches, skiing and more. Wolverine and Fox Hill Cottage have provided our family with the natural respite and solitude that we love!
