Barbara’s Bungalow at Greenponder Ranch is country living at its best. This 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath house boasts a secluded location (1/2 mile from road frontage) that is nestled snugly in the trees on a private 3-acre pond. With 2 queen sized bedrooms, a bunk room that sleeps 3, and a pull out sleeper sofa, there is plenty of room for family and friends. If you’re the active type you can fish in PJ’s Pond, try your luck at our 9-hole disc golf course (discs can be rented for an extra fee), or test your skills at corn hole and horseshoes. If relaxing is more your speed, you can BBQ, or just enjoy the view from the covered porch or waterfront patio.

Wow

This property is great for a family get together. Rented for my family to stay while attending a Wedding near Winnsboro. A lot to do around the place, very quite and secluded off the highway. A gem of a place.

Beautiful!

Gorgeous house on a beautiful piece of property! Didn’t encounter humans but did hear a few cows, coyotes, and birds. Caught two pound crappies out of the private pond in the front yard! We’re repeat customers and will be back again!

Amazing Lodge

Fantastic place to stay. So clean and great views . If you like to be outside and hang with family and friends this is the place to do it. We loved it here . So relaxing to be here in between our wedding events .

Dual purpose weekend getaway !

We stayed at Green Ponder Ranch for dual purpose weekend getaway. We did adults only valentines night for us parents then the next night we did a dinner party night for our 17 yr old daughters birthday and a few of her friends. The weather didn’t cooperate for all the outdoor options but the house was beautiful and the property was as well. The property is great for entertaining for sure ! We will definitely be back when the weather warms up to enjoy all the fun!

Beautiful Place!

We held our office Christmas Party here and the place was perfect. It is a beautiful home perfect for entertaining with a large open kitchen and living room space and several outdoor spaces for both fun and relaxation. I appreciate the owner so much for allowing events/gatherings. The owner was so nice and helpful. I cant wait to come and stay longer!

Relaxing Best Place EVER!

This property offers a stunning and serene retreat. It’s impeccably maintained, providing a quiet and peaceful atmosphere that you’ll love. The owners truly have considered every detail! We can’t wait to return, and we hope they’ll welcome us back. We attended a dog show, and we are so appreciative that they allowed us to bring our dogs along.

Amazing place

Let me start by saying the place is amazing. Clean, spacious, and ducked off from the main road and neighbors. It is suitable for a number of events. However if you are wanting to book it for a fishing trip it’s not the place for you. The owner came off a little rude upon our first conversation and was upset when we were trying to find somewhere to park our boats. He later explained why he was agitated due to the people who stayed before us messing up a lot of things on his property trying to park their boats. He told me that I should’ve read the description of the place which I went back and read again and still saw nothing on the listing that talked about not being able to park boats. He eventually made accommodation for us to park our boats at his house which was our only options since we had drove 6 hours. All in all he seems like a good guy that just met us at a time that he was already dealing with other fisherman who messed up his property. I would recommend this place as a place to stay if you are doing anything other than fishing. Beautiful

Stress free and wonderful!

We absolutely loved the whole place! Spacious, beautiful, clean, quiet, and perfect! The family just raved about how perfect this cabin was for our time before the wedding and not having seen each other for 20 years. The host was GREAT! The property was GREAT! Everything was GREAT! Only about 20 minutes or so from small town if you need something. We're planning our next stay there.

Nice quiet place

We really enjoyed the location. Nestled back into the woods quite a way from the road. No traffic, no noise. We really liked setting by the waters edge, relaxing and chatting. Everything was neat, clean and well stocked.

The good ice

I could right a Walt Whitman book for the time I had here. Turned 50, slayed the pond and filled our bellies with family time and memories at this gem of a private ranch. Best STR I have ever experienced, And, they had the good ice….

Beautiful getaway!

Beautiful property with plenty to entertain old and young. Clean! Warm cookies awaited us! Property manager was very timely in our communications! Stocked huge pond - We caught two 2 pound crappies & multiple more. Had fish for dinner and froze plenty for more family dinners! We will be back!

Absolutely AMAZING hidden gem!!!

Need more than 1500 characters to do this place justice, but here goes. Rented this for my 3 boys & son-in-law for 2 nights while passing through, heading north on vacation. This property is not visible from the street (extra bonus), and was so quiet, it was perfect. Has everything we wanted/needed. Extremely comfortable beds (I'm 6'1"/265 and slept like a baby), great water pressure, extra clean, and well maintained. The owners put a lot of effort into making this a memorable experience, and it shows. They were super responsive, and a pleasure to deal with. Washer/dryer are just about brand new, so no 'gross' feeling when you wash clothes. Sheets/towels/etc., were new and not dingy (like some B&B I've stayed at). Spent the first day fishing, and didn't find the zip-line right away (boys loved it). We all loved playing corn hole, but bring a frisbee if you want to play frisbee golf, we couldn't find one laying around anywhere. Little things to mention: the house has excellent water pressure, and we never ran out of hot water. We didn't use the grill, so can't help you there, but the kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. Plenty of kitchen seating for everyone, but the metal chairs hurt my backside a bit (see my size above-maybe add some padding). Nothing negative to say, and I sure hope we left it as we found it. The only bad thing was that's it wasn't available on our return trip home. Would stay here again, and might next summer. 100% recommend!!!
