House was just like in the pictures. Lots of space, very comfortable beds & everything we needed to make it feel like home! Loved the neighborhood! Walked to restaurants, coffee shops & breweries. Communication with owner was great too. Highly recommend this house! The best VRBO we have stayed at.
We stayed at Hygge Hideaway for a week and really enjoyed it.
It had everything we needed for 2 people to work remotely - fast internet and multiple work spaces - and everything for 2 dogs to have a great vacation. The dogs had easy access to yard (only 2 steps down from deck for our senior boys) with full visibility from the living space. They really enjoyed the exploring tall plants and watching birds. Kitchen had all the basics to cook a meal or reheat takeout. There were plenty of extras stocked so we didn't run out of anything - linens, towels, toilet paper, trash bags - as well as things we usually travel with bc rentals don't always have them - first aid kit, blender, hair dryer, iron, vacuum. Beds were comfortable and the shower had excellent water pressure.
Neighborhood was quite peaceful though a little louder than we'd hoped on July 4th and 5th but between the AC, a pretty serious air circulating fan that was provided, and the TV (multiple smart TVs with sign in provided for all streaming services) we were able to create enough white noise to keep the dogs calm.
Owners wrote a detailed guide to the house, with clear instructions on how to use everything from AC to hot tub, recommendations to local restaurants, details on the art in the home, and where to purchase items from the eco-friendly linens to furniture and plants. Very detailed, very helpful.
Owners were responsive. We would rent again. âĄÌ
I am a dancer/choreographer & movement instructor certified in Open Source Forms and currently in the certification process for Body Mind Centering (BMC). My husband Patrick and I have a family of 3 dogs and we spend Moet of our time living on 20 acres of wooded land in Two Harbors, MN. We hopefully soon will open an ECO/Art residency program on our 20 acres and immerse ourselves in stewarding the woods by planting hard woods and placing pollinator gardens in our two large pastures.
So much to do in the neighborhood of northeast Minneapolis. There is a strong sense of community--neighbors watching out for neighbors. And there is a strong sense of historical identity. Its is a creative and vibrant neighborhood with delicious food and varied neighborhood activities such as exploring bars, restaurants, Mississippi water taxis, galleries, riding the bike paths!
It is a charming historical home with an overlay of Modern design. The home is cozy with its fireplaces, a lot of light streaming in and many places to view and engage with the outdoors. The property is designed for a curated experience of the spaces with in it and surrounding it.
