The stay was fine everything was clean, the water just didn’t get very hot and the security is overly strict we couldn’t even have a friend walk us to our place

Nice condo in South Padre

It's a nice, chill spot to stay at on the island. It's at least a mile away from most of the action, but if you have a car you can get around pretty quickly. The room was clean.

The unit is as described but requires a deep cleaning and scrubbing. Couch and recliner new but rest of furniture needs to be updated. Tile floors need to be scrubbed throughout entire unit with some rugs or matting in place. Closet space has extensive dust and grime on hanging units. Unit is on parking lot side which is quiet.

Gulfview II Stay

Overall the stay was excellent. The studio was nice, just needs some paint, new flooring, and some updates. It was peaceful, great location, and excellent pool and hot tubs.

It was a pleasant stay. Quiet, convenient, and clean. Beach was a close enough walk even for my knees. TVs have been updated which was nice on the rainy day we had during our week. Enough kitchen utensils for our use when we chose to make our own meals.

Great stay!!!

Great condo to stay at. Property communication is excellent and easy. Easy walk to the beach and to Schlitterbahn! It was the perfect size for the 4 of us. The TVs are old box style, but who goes to the beach for TV? The only true issue we had was the WiFi. Due to the room’s proximity to the elevator, the signal was almost non-exsistent. We will absolutely be back!!

Cozy and near beach

We have stayed at gulf view before and had to come back because of the pool and location. They have the best prices in SPI. The clubhouse next to pool is convenient for bathroom use for the kids without having to go up to condo for a break. This unit was very comfortable for our family of 4. It had everything we needed and extras. It's in very good shape and new tile is on floors, very clean. Gulfview personnel are always willing to help. We are very happy with our choice!!

Nice stay

Clean space and great location for not being beachfront, it was a 10-ish minute walk to the water. While it’s a minor drawback, the shower floor was much more elevated than the bathroom floor so this could be inaccessible for some. Also, didn’t expect to have to check in at a different location from where the condo was located. Same thing with replenishing towels and toiletries. Overall good value with no major problems.

Affordable and clean

This condo was priced perfect for my budget. The pool and hot tub were great. The bed was extremely comfortable. The only downside was the air conditioning is very loud when it runs and you can hear the people walking around upstairs but I wasn’t there that much just coming and going and a place to sleep. Definitely worth the money.

Check-in went smoothly except we were not given wristbands for the pool so when we encountered security at the pool he was extremely rude and promtly kicked us out. We had to drive back up town to get the wristbands. It was just a short walk to the beach although it took us awhile to find the access. There was no signage. We had an amazing time though. When we arrived it was nice and cool inside, the AC works wonderfully. The property is in need of updates like on the patio the tile was hilling and cracked but was adequate for our needs. All in all we woukd definately stay here again.

It was a decent condo for the price

We had one person who slept on the sofa and he said it was really comfortable. The main bedroom mattress was not that good, needs replacing. There was a hodge podge of utensils and pots and pans were lacking. On the first day we noticed a banging and it was a condo being renovated below us. The next morning we woke up to a very loud continuous noise from the condo below. We could not stay there. The rental place apologized and was very accommodating and put us in another condo far away from the noise. The walk to the beach is a short walk, no big deal. Parking was fine. We did barbecue- you will need barbecue coals, lighter fluid, etc. Pool was clean. Word of warning, if you want to get into the pool, you do need a wristband which was not given to us when we checked in, so we had to go back to the rental place to get it. All in all for the price, it was not too bad.

Average room. Decent price.

My family and I stayed at the gulf 2 while we vacationing at south padre. The room was average. Location was'nt the best. There were plenty of dishes, pots and pans for cooking which was nice. The pool was nice. I never really got to talk to the owners due to the fact that they use a third party rental agency. So I couldn't tell you how the owners are. The rental company agents were nice and acomodating. Overall trip was ok. I think we will stick with galveston next year.

Cozy and Comfy

We grabbed the kids and made an impromptu mini vacation to Padre. It was off the beach and near Schlittlerban but it was perfect because we didn't have to deal with traffic on the main strip. The location was safe and parking was not an issue. Driving to public beaches was easy from this location. The condo was clean and everything ready for our arrival. We had a small issue with refrigerator not cooling but called and it was resolved quickly. Smooth transaction. Would recommend. One minor complaint is the beeping from the elevator. It's awesome feature to get your stuff up, but it's close to the room so you can hear the beeps when people are going up and down in the middle of the night.
