Great place to get out of town!

Had a wonderful Thanksgiving week here with a large family group. The house is beautiful and has everything you could need. Great place for a getaway!

Christmas with the Family

This has hands down the best place we have rented for our family get together over Christmas/New Years. Loved the location and the design of the cabin. We had 8 kids and dogs the cabin was quite compared to others we have rented. Plenty of supplies in the kitchen, towels, bedding, trash bags and dishwasher tablets.

Wonderful and relaxing place to stay

This is a perfect place to stay with a bunch of friends! Lots of room and places both inside and outside to hang out. Well stocked, very roomy and comfortable. Highly recommend.

Cherohala Challenge Weekend

Great location with plenty of room for our group riding the Cherohala Challenge bike ride. Clean and spacious with a very well equipped kitchen. Outdoor spaces were nice too.

Hide away spot

The house is very big with plenty of room for everyone. We enjoyed the outside fires. We walked some of the trails. It was Jerry restful.

Large cabin with easy access to the Cherohala Skyway

Cycling group of 8 doing the Cherohala Challenge. Property is 10 minutes from the start/finish and excellent for medium sized groups with 4 full baths and a half bath.

Women's retreat

I have brought groups here many times over the years and everyone always enjoys the Lodge and Coker Creek. The house is very accommodating for a large group, the kitchen is well stocked and it offers a very private space for a get away. Debi, the property manager, was helpful and available for anything we asked for. I can always count of the house being clean, comfortable and peaceful!

Plenty of space and well stocked!

This cabin is a joy to stay in, especially for large groups. It has the best stocked kitchen of all the places I’ve ever rented. Absolutely everything you need to cook with and serve wonderful meals. The property owner is very responsive to inquiries. And the fact that they are pet friendly made our vacation even more enjoyable!

Roomy Retreat

A great place to stay with a larger group; six bathrooms! A very private setting and spotless cleanliness. A giant covered porch helped reduce cabin fever on rainy days. We’re hoping to return with our wives and more family sometime; our first visit was fathers and sons and friends. Thanks Carol!

Perfect for a group ride

I rented this place as home-base for 4 days of beautiful motorcycle riding for 12 guys. The house was perfect for a accomodating many people and parking our vehicles. The kitchen was well stocked, enabling some great group dinners. We used the comfortable porch and multiple gathering areas. My pals are already asking about next year.

Great place for a large get-together

We really enjoyed the cabin. There was plenty of space for our large group of ten adults and two teenagers for a week. The two kitchens and BBQ grill made it easy to create our Thanksgiving meal. The wrap-around porch had lots of rocking chairs, a two person swing, multiple tables and also a propane grill. The only "downer" was not being able to have an outside fire due to extremely dry conditions. Instead, we took advantage of the living room fireplace and had wood fires burning a lot!! (It helped that some cold weather was present during our stay.) I would happily return to this cabin in the future.

Cabin Stay

The cabin was lovely however, the owner is very difficult to deal with. We tried to contact them multiple times through messages, texts, and calls but the owner was no help over the course of several days. The check process is also very poor, one key is given for a cabin that sleeps 16 people so you pretty much have to leave the door unlocked which is not safe. Definitely stay somewhere.

Nice weekend retreat for large groups

Nice secluded location off the main road, so it can be a little challenging to find. The driveway is uphill, and loose gravel which could be difficult for some vehicles and motorcycles. The house has a rustic feel, but is well appointed with modern amenities. Plenty of outdoor seating, and a lovely covered porch that wraps around the house. Perfect for coffee in the morning or cocktails in the evening. Numerous rooms, beds, and bathrooms make it perfect for large groups. Two of the beds are pullout convertible sofas. The guys who slept on those said they were not comfortable, but all the other beds were fine. Overall, it’s a well maintained property, and I would recommend staying here.

Very nice and roomy cabin!

Our group of 14 stayed here for a family vacation. With 5 bedrooms (plus another room with 2 twin size sleeper sofas), 5 and 1/2 baths, and 2 living rooms, there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax. The 2 fully-equipped kitchens and outdoor grill allowed us to fix large meals for our group without being cramped or in each other's way. The cabin was clean, furnishings were nice, and we especially enjoyed the large wrap-around porch. Nice tv's and free WiFi really came in handy for the younger ones. There were even some beach towels furnished which were great for when we went rafting. Nice, front-loading washing machine and dryer was super convenient. The only thing that wasn't great was the lack of cell service in that area, but there was a landline phone in case we needed it. The owners really thought of everything you might need. Beautiful scenery all around the cabin was an added bonus. Everyone had a wonderful time and we plan on staying here again for our next vacation!

Book this place with out hesitation!!!

This property is a hidden GEM!! Our family booked this home for our Christmas family vacation! We had an absolutely BEAUTIFUL experience!! We arrived to the home already decorated for Christmas, a decorated Christmas tree, more than every thing you could possibly imagine you would need for cooking/ cleaning/ feeling comfortable. When I say they had everything, I mean everything. Trash bags, paper towel, seasonings, food wrap, dishes, food storage containers, basic baking supplies, laundry detergent, dish soap, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner…. all the things you would think you would have to buy/ bring to a rental. We couldn’t believe it. Our week at the cabin felt like we were all in our own home. It was so cozy and comfortable. We had a group of 13 and our dogs. No one in our group ever felt on top of each other! Everyone had there own space to seclude to if needed! There are three levels in this home. The top level has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The middle level has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room, kitchen, fireplace, and dining room. The lower level has two bedrooms, 1.5 baths, a living room (with a fold out couch), a kitchen, and a laundry room. The outdoor space has TWO outdoor fire pits (one gas and one wood), a grill, walking paths, more than enough parking, a wrap around porch/ deck, and a lower level patio. The cabin had more than enough chopped wood to heat the cabin for the week! All the beds had comfortable sheets on them, more than enough blankets, and there were more than a enough towels in all the bathrooms. There were tons of board games available to play and movies to watch! There was cable, wifi, and house phones! There’s no service if you don’t use the wifi so make sure you set your GPS before driving away or towards the home! The cabin is nestled on a hill with no one close to you so you feel like your secluded in the mountains. Instructions for wifi, departure, emergency number, etc are all posted in the home. Due to a nation wide winter storm, we did have a pipe break and we lost water during our stay. The manager’s son (a plumber), had water up and running for us with in the hour and brought a loaf of bread for our family. The only TINY suggestion I would make, is for the owners to leave the managers number posted as well as theirs. We contacted the owner about the pipe breaking, but found out from a near neighbor. that there’s also a property manager who helps to handles concerns. WE LOVED this cabin!

Lots of room

This was a great place for a large group. We celebrated Thanksgiving and the 2 kitchens made preparing a large meal easier. We definitely made use of the 2 refrigerators! There was a bathroom to go with every bedroom, lots of beds, and there were 2 different living room spaces with tvs, which was perfect for letting kids watch their own movie or for viewing multiple sports games at the same time! As this is a cabin-type structure, there is not a lot of soundproofing, so if you are concerned about having a lot of noise, you might want to take that into consideration. Also, the listing noted that it is "accessible;" however this would not work so well for anyone in a wheelchair. There is a ramp from the driveway to the main deck, but the doorframes are difficult for a wheelchair to get through. The hosts are great and were very responsive to any questions or messages ahead of our stay!

Great property

This was the third time I took groups to the house this year. It is perfect for large groups. 5 1/2 bathrooms are great. It is very hard to find a house for large groups with enough baths. The two kitchens also work out extremely well for us. I will be staying here for years to come.

Mountain paradise.

This is the second time staying here. Already booked for Labor Day weekend. Will be coming here as long as this property is available. I use VRBO properties extensively for my tour business and this is one of the best properties we have ever stayed at.

Daughter's Wedding

The wedding party and bride's family stayed here. We had Hawaii, Montana, S C., N.C., Colorado and Tennessee represented! All had a great time and restful stay.
