À propos de cet hébergement
Chic Downtown Farmhouse with Garden and BBQ Grill
Relax on my front porch swing in downtown San Antonio and savor the sounds of chirping birds. This 1925 farmhouse, fully renovated, features a well-equipped kitchen, laundry room, free on-site parking, and a private backyard garden with a patio and grill. Take in views of the Hemisfair Tower and city-hosted holiday fireworks from the backyard and wake up to a complimentary rooster's crow in the early morning.
The Space:
During your stay, you'll reside in the main house, which boasts two spacious bedrooms (one with a king bed and the other with a queen bed) and a shared bathroom. The main house offers high-speed internet with blazing speeds of 428 Mbps and provides a dedicated workspace in the front bedroom for your private work needs. Additionally, at the rear of the house, there's an extension with a separate rental unit and a communal laundry room, along with a hallway leading to the backyard.
Guest Access:
You'll enjoy exclusive access to the front door of the house, secured with your own key. Towards the back of the house, there's an extension containing a separate rental unit, a shared laundry room, and a hallway that leads to the backyard. Other guests access their unit through this rear hallway. The backyard deck is designated for the second unit, while your private patio and BBQ grill are nestled under the cool shade of a majestic pecan tree. At night, the patio is illuminated by enchanting solar string lights.
Interaction with Guests:
You won't see me or my helpers during your stay which allows you more privacy and convenience. However, I am here anytime you need to reach out. If you need anything or have questions, just send me a message via Airbnb and I’ll be quick to respond.
The Neighborhood:
The Lavaca neighborhood, where the farmhouse is situated, was developed atop the historic irrigation canals initially excavated by native Tejanos who labored for the Spanish Colonial mission of San Antonio de Valero (commonly known as the Alamo) and the neighboring Anglo-German settlement. Presently, this neighborhood is home to a diverse and artistically vibrant community, with many public buildings adorned with local murals and mosaics.
If you're a culinary enthusiast, Lavaca is a food lover's paradise, offering a wide range of options. From street-side coffee vendors to local taco joints and even chef-owned upscale eateries, there's something to satisfy every palate.
Getting Around:
From the farmhouse, you'll find yourself just a brief stroll away from the charming, tree-lined streets of King William, where an array of restaurants, cafes, and the Blue Star Arts Complex await your exploration. For a delightful outing, you can access the Riverwalk through a nearby entrance, offering a pleasant walk to downtown attractions like the Briscoe Western Art Museum, the Alamo, the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, and the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts.
Should you wish to venture a bit further, follow the Riverwalk or utilize convenient options like Bird or Uber to reach destinations such as SAMA, the Pearl, or the Alamodome. You can even rent a kayak for a unique dinner experience on the water. Additionally, the house is equipped with two fully functional bicycles, perfect for exploring the city or heading south to discover the Missions bike trail.
