The beautifully remodeled south guest suite features a private entrance, dedicated on site parking, a cedar deck with outdoor dining, a fully equipped kitchen, radiant heated floors, and thoughtfully designed spaces that invite you to relax. Floor-to-ceiling windows create the feeling of living among the trees in every season.

Thoughtfully designed and lovingly maintained, our Guest Favorite retreat has earned exceptional guest reviews from travelers seeking a peaceful Pacific Northwest escape.

Miles of scenic hiking trails are just minutes away, making this an ideal base for exploring the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

Although attached to our home, the guest suite is entirely separate and designed to provide a quiet, private stay. Guests are welcome to enjoy the shared gardens, koi pond, waterfall, and fire pit. The owners’ north patio, grill, and outdoor living area are reserved for our private use.

Please note: Our home features cherished antiques, original artwork, water features, and a beautiful historic stained-glass window. Because it has not been childproofed and contains several delicate features, it is best suited for adults and older children who will appreciate its peaceful setting.

Your own private luxury forest retreat, where the soothing sound of a waterfall, towering evergreens, and beautifully landscaped gardens create a peaceful getaway just minutes from Seattle. The property is really lovely. The landscaping is amazing and creates a quiet place to read and enjoy the outdoors. We sat at the large outdoor table and ate dinners and sat on the comfortable cushioned bench to drink our coffee in the mornings. The indoor space is wonderful: clean, very comfortable beds and high-quality sheets and pillows. The kitchen was very well equipped and we found ourselves not wanting for anything. The owners were very helpful to us when we had questions and even helped a young family member who was visiting us with feeding the fish in the backyard. All in all a great stay!!

Exceeded expectations

If the description and photos of this property impress you, prepare to have those impressions eclipsed as soon as you walk in the door. Inside and out this home draws you in and instantly makes you regret not booking a longer stay. First thing our kids asked immediately upon entering was if we could stay longer. The attention to detail is remarkable and the thought that went into anticipating what guests needs may be is beyond impressive. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful, I can still hear the wind chime that made the time I spent out on the deck so enjoyable. We enjoyed our daily outings, but looked forward to getting back every evening to enjoy this amazing home. No regrets, no recommendations, definitely no complaints.

We’re Daniel and Heather, longtime Issaquah residents with a shared love of travel, design, nature, and welcoming people from around the world. Together, we’ve explored more than 100 countries and built and renovated four vacation homes.

Daniel is a retired software engineer whose adventures include spending an unforgettable year working at the South Pole. Heather is a singer, pianist, and cruise-ship headliner who has performed around the world and at legendary venues including Carnegie Hall and Jazz at Lincoln Center.

We’ve brought the spirit of our travels into each home, decorating with art, furnishings, and special pieces collected from around the world. Our travels and building projects have taught us that the most memorable stays combine comfort, thoughtful details, beautiful surroundings, and a genuine sense of welcome. We hope you’ll feel right at home during your stay.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We chose Squak Mountain for its beautiful surroundings and its ideal location near downtown Issaquah and close proximity to Seattle. The home sits on one and a half acres beneath towering 100-foot fir trees, where deer and other wildlife are frequent visitors. A koi pond, cascading waterfall, and gas fire pit create a truly one-of-a-kind setting in the heart of Issaquah.

The property is also close to all the site seeing in the Seattle area and several scenic trailheads, including the trail to Debbie’s View, where hikers are rewarded with a glorious view of Mount Rainier on a clear day.

We designed our homes to embrace the forest, with expansive windows that frame the trees, cedar decks that extend the living spaces outdoors, and peaceful areas to gather beside the koi pond, waterfall, and fire pit.
