Featured in the prestigious Sunset Magazine, this stunning property offers breathtaking ocean views and the perfect blend of modern amenities and coastal charm, providing a comfortable and luxurious stay just a 5-minute walk from the beach.

The Space:
- Comfortably sleeps up to 6 adults
- 3 bedrooms - king bed, queen bed, and 2 twin beds
- 2 bathrooms
- 1 reserved parking spot in the driveway of the home + extra parking available in the nearby culdesac
- Fully stocked kitchen w/ drip coffee maker
- Living room w/ ocean view
- Ocean view loft & upstairs patio
- Spacious backyard with a hot tub, BBQ, and ocean front fenced in lawn for you to enjoy.

Also note:
- The exterior of this home is monitored by 24/7 surveillance recording devices for safety.
- No gatherings or parties allowed (strictly enforced)
- Smart TVs with streaming capabilities (no local channels or cable).
- No pets permitted (service animals are allowed but please be aware the next-door neighbor has dogs and the fence separating the property does not create a great barrier. Also, the stairs in the home are difficult for many dogs to navigate. For these reasons, it is not a great home for service animals.)

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the entire home, except for the garage, which is reserved for owners storage.

The Neighborhood:
Pleasure Point is a beloved coastal neighborhood. Known for its world-class surfing, laid-back ambiance, and breathtaking ocean views, it's a haven for beachgoers and water enthusiasts. The iconic surf breaks like "The Hook" attract surfers from around the world. This vibrant community boasts a unique blend of surf shops, cafes, and local boutiques. Stroll along East Cliff Drive, savor fresh seafood, or catch a mesmerizing sunset from the cliffs. With its bohemian spirit and proximity to the lively Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, Pleasure Point offers a quintessential California beach experience.

This is not a good place for gatherings or parties so please keep that in mind when booking this home. We are very respectful of our neighbors and will not tolerate loud noise past curfew and additional guests at the property.

Getting Around:
- The Point Market (4 min walk)
- Capitola Village (5-10 min drive)
- Santa Cruz Main Beach & Boardwalk (15 min drive)
- The Mystery Spot (20 min drive)
- The Forest of Nisene Marks (20 min drive)
- Nearest grocery store: Whole Foods, New Leaf, Safeway, etc. (15 minute drive)
- Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park (30 min drive)

Other Things to Note:
- Please note there are fences around the property, but they are low and do not create privacy from surrounding neighbors and the general public passing by.
- This home shares a wall with the home next door. When looking at the marketing photos, the fence line shows the separation between this home & the home next door. They look like one full unit, but they are completely separate. Photos can be misleading and make it look like it is one larger home.
- We highly discourage our guests from bringing pets to stay as the home is not safe for pets :( The fence along the perimeter of the yard facing the street has gaps underneath large enough for a pet to get under. The stairs in the home also have gaps large enough that a pet could potentially fit through :( For these reasons we highly discourage bringing pets to stay at this property.
- We are required to stick to our cancellation policy and we suggest adding trip insurance for any last minute issues that may impact your travel (Weather, Illness, etc). We are not able to cancel, move or refund bookings that do not fall in our cancellation policy for any reason.
- We have landscapers, pest service, hot tub, and other property maintenance done on a weekly basis. You may see or hear these service professionals during your stay as they let themselves into the backyard to service as needed. Please be sure to ask about this before booking if you think it might be an issue for you.
- TV is a smart tv with streaming capabilities. There are no cable or local channels.
- The exterior of this home is monitored by 24/7 surveillance recording devices for safety.

Beautiful Spot

Really enjoyed the location and the host was great. The only feedback is architectural. The design breaks up the view and ideally the master would have a view of the water. The amenities are nice, kitchen well stocked and the yard is beautiful.

Perfect Stay!

Everything about this place is perfection! Not only is the location is unmatched but the property was everything we could’ve hoped for. From coffee on the upstairs patio to the morning sounds of the ocean to quiet nights stargazing from the hot tub, we loved every minute of our stay. Our hosts went above and beyond in accommodating our requests and made our trip such an incredible experience. 10/10 would recommend.

What a view

Loved the house super clean and the location is killer! To walk out and have direct ocean view, you can’t beat it. People walking by as we sat on the lawn constantly mentioned how fortunate we were to be on the property.

Beautiful water front home!

We had an amazing time at this property. The location is right in the midst of Pleasure Point, with Moran Beach right around the corner. The views in the morning and for sunset in the evening were spectacular! We enjoyed grilling out one evening. Highly recommend it and we’ll probably stay again!

Relaxation by the Ocean

We had an amazing stay in Pleasure Point at the Sunset Magazine House! The views were breathtaking, the house was very well furnished, our goal was to relax and enjoy the scenery. The house is right on a bluff overlooking the ocean. No beach but that’s not why we were there. We easily walked to the Pleasure Point shopping area. The management team was very responsive. I will stay here again in a heartbeat.

Perfect

This is an amazing property with an incredible view. The place is spotless and has everything you might need for a stay including a complete kitchen for cooking. The bedrooms are extremely comfortable and as well appointed as the cook’s kitchen. Our family of four easily spread out and enjoyed the view from the two levels and counted seals and sea lions and even the occasional dolphin. The neighbors were considerate with their pets and their space. This place is a gem and we will be back!

Great views and super clean

Stayed here with me family. Its an amazing house very clean and the views are just amazing. The slider to the back is a little narrow which didnt allow my aunties walker to fit through but thats okay. The only other thing was the cul-de-sac was very loud at night. Kids kept showing up at night blasting music and being loud. But the house was really nice and had all the amenities you can think of.

Wonderful Stay

Property is on a bluff overlooking Pacific Ocean. Enjoyed watching the waves crash against the rocks. Two story condo was great for our family. Amenities were barely sufficient. Pros: coffee maker with filters, large kitchen garbage can & recycle container, plenty of dishes and silverware. Cons: No aluminum foil, glad wrap, napkins, sandwich baggies, spices (other than salt and pepper). Also, for a million dollar view and corresponding nightly rental rate, one would hope the windows were clean. They were filthy. Water pressure in upstairs shower flowed at 25% of standard flow. Hot tub was relaxing, but people at bordering public court were loud and we felt like we had to stay on heightened alert with just a waist high unlocked gate between court and property. Other than these minor issues, the place was a great fit for us. Best part was being away with family!
