Centrally Located Family-Friendly Beach House with Hot Tub and River Rock Fireplace.  Overlooking Santa Maria Beach, with Views of 26th Avenue Beach, Pleasure Point and Sunny Cove!  Walking Distance to Multiple Surf Spots, the Santa Cruz Yacht Harbor, Restaurants and More!



Brown's Beach House is a family-friendly Santa Cruz vacation rental home with 4 bedrooms and 2 1/2 bathrooms and over 2,300 square feet of living space overlooking the beach and ocean.   This craftsman-style beach house is walking distance five surf spots, wonderful local restaurants, pizza, shopping, coffee houses, and breweries.



This family-friendly two story beach house features sleeps up to eight guests comfortably.  Two bedrooms come with California King sized beds, the third bedroom comes with a queen sized bed, and there are two twin beds in the fourth room.   Please note that all bedrooms are upstairs, and the living/common space is on the ground level.  Two upstairs decks feature ocean views, and the downstairs porch overlooks the beach.  A large, meditative garden area comes with a big ocean view, as well as a a separate outdoor shower area with hot tub.



Located at the end of a cul-de-sac and overlooking the ocean, the Brown's Beach House offers everything you need for your home away from home, complete with hot tub, stainless steel kitchen appliances, high quality cookware, river rock fireplace, 4 televisions with premium channels along with Netflix and Hulu streaming and high-speed wireless Internet throughout.  A propane gas barbecue, outdoor table and chairs, hot/cold outdoor shower, full-size washer and dryer, Keurig coffee/hot water maker, board games, books and more.

Amazing experience

Everyone in our party loved their stay in this house. Beds we comfortable, linens were soft, the kitchen was well stocked, and the views were exceptional. This house was everything we needed for our party of eight. We can’t wait to stay again.

Everything about this property was wonderful. The home fit our three-generation group perfectly. Virtually everything was provided, and then some.The home is easy walking distance to two wonderful beaches; parking at the beach can be tight, so this was an added bonus we had not anticipated. We loved the large dining table for our evening game nights, and the large picture windows for watching both the sunrise and moonrise over the ocean. Being lulled to sleep at night listening to the crashing waves...Yup...this is a true Beach House!

The location could not be better and the house was more than spacious enough for 6 adults. The hot tub in the back was a huge bonus add. We would stay again without a doubt.

In spite of some record setting rain on New Years Eve, our week long stay was a 5 star experience.

The house, location and amenities exceeded our expectations. More spacious than photos suggest and the hosts equip and stock the house generously. The sea view is spectacular and watching the surfers a great pastime.

We really enjoyed our stay at this delightful beach house. The house was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. You can’t help but relax here! We adored Kiki the kitty who not only greeted us upon our arrival, but also gave us a sweet farewell. Thanks for sharing your wonderful family home with us!

Perfect for family stay

The house was so clean, bigger than what pictures show. 2 family rooms. Kitchen has everything you will need and more. Towels are more than enough and very clean. Great patio sitting for family gathering. This would be the place I would choose when I come back to Santa Cruz

Awesome seaside cottage

Loved all of it! Spacious, homey, tons to do around the area. Loved having my coffee on the porch while watching the waves break on Santa Maria beach. Exactly what our family needed for Spring Break. Owners livd on property in the back house but we never saw them. It felt private, safe, and relaxing the entire time.

Amazing Beach House

Every year we plan a local family vacation so that all of our adult kids can join us. Browns Beach House was the perfect spot with the amazing views and beautiful home. The house had everything we needed for cooking, going to the beach, or just relaxing and looking at the view! We also enjoyed Queen Kiki who is the sweetest and affectionate "beach house" cat. The location was perfect...in-between Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and Capitola. We will definitely come back again!

The house was great for our family. We appreciated the large, clean well-appointed rooms and your thoughtful hospitality. Not having a closet or a place to hang our clothes in the master was not ok though. There may be a leak. While my husband was sitting at the dining table, a little bit of water came through the ceiling. We think it might be the master toilet. Anyway, we left a plastic storage container directly under the leak. Thank you very much. You have a beautiful home.

Beautiful house with ocean view, walking distance to two beaches

Wonderful house for our family's summer trip to the coast. House was clean and well taken care of. Great view of the ocean from the front porch, the kitchen table and upstair balcony. The location is so nice you'll see a steady stream of locals pull up and park across the street (under the no parking sign). Seems like a popular hangout spot. Even the mailman liked it enough to nap in the back of his truck a couple days we were there. Think of it as a thumbs up from the locals for the location. :)

Book This Place!

You won’t regret saying at Brown’s Beach House!!! I am very particular with cleanliness and I tell you that this house was CLEAN and GORGEOUS! The view is spectacular and it’s just a 3-5 min walk from the beach access. The house is also very well-stocked with what ever you need in the kitchen and other things like towels, sheets, cleaning supplies, etc. One of our friends is a chef and he enjoyed cooking meals for a party of 9. Check in and check out was a breeze and management was so easy to contact via text messaging. I highly recommend this place for your next Santa Cruz getaway.

This property and our stay was wonderful. The additional charges that keep being added on, increased by VRBO brings us to the decision to avoid renting through VRBO whenever possible. Will try and support local. Would like to talk to someone about this but... hard to locate you corporate people in the maze you have configured.

Beautiful home, poor lighting

The home is beautifully decorated, great bedding. A few things to bring it up to a full 5 rating: Light bulbs were bright white, rather than soft lighting. A few of the bedside lamps didn't work. Ran out of Toilet Paper. Was told there was a drop coffee maker, but only a Kurig. However there was a grinder and filters, just no drip coffee maker. Would definitely stay again. We brought candles, that helped the lighting.

Lovely - Even in the middle of a huge storm

We arrived in the middle of a storm. But the view and sound of the ocean outside were wonderful - evoking the feeling of Christmas in California. The sun did come out on our last day and that too was spectacular. The kitchen was super well stocked and fun for a group who enjoys cooking together. Loved the dining/living room space. Essentially the flow of the first floor was perfect. The bedrooms were lovely, clean, and comfy. Thanks for the wood and the sweet touches. One suggestion for future folks with cat allergies - the house is uber clean, but the dander can have an impact in the first 24hours. Benadryl does the trick. And by Day 2 everyone was fine. Thanks for a lovey stay.

Great Beach House

We loved staying at the Brown's Beach House. The kitchen was awesome and nicely stocked with games and towels. The house itself is spacious and cozy. Loved all the parking in the driveway. A couple of things: Know that the great view is not a walk down to the beach but a cliff. Beach access is just 2 blocks down. The spa had a COVID sign on it so we obeyed the rules and didn't use it which was a huge bummer. Then we were told at the end of our visit that we could have used it. We did get charged for it. Also, this cul-de-sac is a gathering place for locals to "Hang" out and do I don't know what? A lot of the time there were cars filled with people even though it says no parking blocking the view. That was a bit frustrating. None of the above are deal breakers but thought they should be mentioned. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Great spot, amazing location!

The house was lovely and had everything we wanted, close to the beach and sound of waves crashing was so relaxing. It would have been more enjoyable if there was a hot tub that could fit more than 3 people at a time, there is space in the yard for a larger hot tub and certainly it should be used in that way to accommodate the fact that the house can hold 8 people. We were not able to make the hot tub work the first night because the control panel was mislabeled but the very kind property manager sent out the hot tub guy and he sorted out the issue; we were able to use the hot tub by the second day. My only other issue is that the house had those powder-scented plug-ins which made the entire place smell like, well, powder. I am very sensitive to smells and I spent the entire stay finding and unplugging those from the sockets of every room in the house. Maybe fine for some people but definitely not for everyone. Definitely was an issue and distraction for me. Lastly, there is one room with a small queen size bed which felt a bit small compared to all the other bed accommodations which easily fit 2 adults per room. It would be great to stay here again, maybe when the hot tub is upgraded. It’s a great location and really nice home.

Vacation Vibes!

What a beautiful home, next to an unbelievable view! The house had everything you need for a lovely stay. Cozy beds, quiet rooms (except for the ocean waves :), great kitchen, good wifi and we were able to sit in the hot tub in the stunning gardens and then after hot showers we watched a movie on the vrbo tv. We didn't want to leave. It put us in vacation mode from the second we arrived.
