Peaceful respite!

We had a great long weekend stay here. Quiet and tucked away in a peaceful neighborhood- would definitely stay here again! Great location for fly fishing and hiking.

Lovely home in a great area

Lovely home, fully stocked, and in a wonderful location. It is right on a creek and within a short walk to a pond that can be swam in summertime. It is located halfway between Highlands and Franklin making either town easy to get to. Bed linen and towels were all very soft and comfortable.

Highlands cabin

Our stay could not have been better. The cabin was clean and comfortable and the front porch was relaxing. We spent several evenings sitting on the porch admiring the autumn foliage. We would definitely stay here again. For those who have concerns about this area due to the hurricane that passed through, we arrived a couple of weeks after it had passed. Fortunately, there was not any noticeable damage and all the shops and restaurants in nearby Highlands were open.

Highland exploration trip

Lovely house in a quiet neighborhood. I came to explore the local towns and hiking trails, celebrate a friend’s birthday and get away from the Florida heat. Everything was great. The place is a bit tricky to find so ask for details when you are about a mile away.

Lovely community & house

This nice, newer home in a beautiful setting was a great retreat for our family of five. The community is quiet and serene, surrounded by national forest and few other developments. Being within sight of the creek gives younger kids independence to explore the outdoors without getting into harm’s way. We enjoyed the indoor amenities, including the large bathroom, but the screen front porch is the main attraction where we ate all meals and enjoyed many summer nights. Great communication with the owner before and during our stay.

Our family has owned this property for more than 20 years. Originally from Atlanta, we raised our two boys in the beautiful meadows, trout streams, and forest trails in this unusually well placed area. A few years ago, we decided to tear the original cabin down and build a brand new luxury escape! We are excited for families to share in our very special place filled with unforgettable memories. Enjoy unusual central heat and air and amazing front porch as you listen to the Trout stream before you . Our special location is right in the middle of hiking, waterfalls, gem mines and of course, the National Forest.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

This unique community encompasses 13 acres including a trout stream, beautifully maintained meadow and pond. Private Skywater community is always welcoming and friendly and not isolating as some cabins can be in the area. Since the house is nearly built, we have central heat and air, which is quite unusual for the area.

Renting our cabin does not just include the house! It includes 13 acres of lakes, streams, meadows and trails. Our new home is one of the few in the valley with air-conditioning and heating and a new, top-of-the-line kitchen. Enjoy the luxury bathroom with soaking tub and shower. Starlink Wi-Fi is fast for remote work or streaming your favorite shows.
