Tout le monde dit que c'est la meilleure vue du lac Glenville. Une escapade isolée où les sons apaisants d'un ruisseau à proximité tombent à flanc de montagne. Ce chalet unique au bout de la route sans voisin visible donne l'impression d'être accroché dans les arbres. Ce chalet isolé divisé 2BR / 3BA a une suite principale avec salle de bain privée et télévision privée. Le 2ème BR a 2 lits jumeaux qui peuvent être connectés OU séparés selon la situation et le 2ème bain est directement à l'extérieur du BR. Le plan d'étage ouvert permet une vue complète sur le lac Glenville depuis le salon à l'étage ainsi que le pont inférieur ouvert qui dispose d'un bain à remous pour 4 personnes, d'une machine de musculation et d'une grande table de pique-nique en bois massif ainsi que de la 3e salle de bain et de stockage et de la buanderie . Accédez à la zone inférieure depuis les escaliers extérieurs ou les escaliers en colimaçon intérieurs, où vous trouverez également la buanderie.
Randonnée, pêche et mines de pierres précieuses à proximité. À seulement 5 miles des magasins et restaurants les plus proches. 1 & 1/2 h. conduire à Asheville & Biltmore Estates

Wonderful!

This property was perfect for our stay! It exceeded our expectations. Very comfortable house. Very clean and had lots of perks. Enjoyed the kayaks and the dock. Wonderful view and experience. We will definitely return for future adventures. The owner is a super descent person and communication was very positive. It was a 5 star stay!

Stunning Views of the Lake

This house was amazing! The inside was large and clean and had everything we needed. The star of the show, though, is the view. You can see the gorgeous lake, mountains, trees, and sky from inside the house and from the two seating areas. We loved it and hope to be back!

We had a great time beautiful views great house and enjoyed the kayaks as well. The only thing I would like to change is the description of the path down to the lake. I know I think somewhere it was mentioned a moderate hike, but I think you should list strenuous, I only went down two times

Beautiful cabin on Lake Glenville

This is the perfect place for a family of four to spend a few days on the lake. The access to the dock is perfect - swimming is amazing - access to Cashiers and the local marina are also easy. Obviously, the deck of the cabin is the best!

Great area, great accommodations wonderful trip

check in and out was smooth. The rental had all the needed items. Enjoyed fishing from the dock and fishing from both canoe and kayak. AM coffee from the deck and night time in the hot tube. a great stay.

Perfect Location

This house was the perfect spot for our family. The dock/ lake access provided lots of fun. The close proximity to Cashiers, allowed for easy access to hiking and restaurants. We were able to enjoy the best of the area from this wonderful house.

Perfect Vacation in the Mts

Great property with amazing views in a perfect location. Owner was available and helpful. Home clean and everything needed was there. So much to do in this area if you are active. Will definitely make this trip again.

Best view in the Lake

Great home, all the amenities. If I might suggest two improvement that would make it all 5stars? The switchback is terrible, needs to be paved for 30+ yards in both directions; like other switchbacks we saw. Also, steps and distance to dock is certainly prohibitive for young children, young teenagers and those over 65 or with any walking inhibitions. A kayak launch pad strapped to the dock would eliminate dropping kayaks into the water, gingerly trying to get in and out, and hauling them back on the dock. Respectfully submitted Rick!

Lovely home, spectacular view, helpful host

We very much enjoyed our 3 night stay here. The view is spectacular and the 17-sided home is charming, with plenty of room. The steps down to the dock are a bit challenging and an actual hand rail would help. There is construction on both sides but the noise was minimal. Nearby Cashiers has some wonderful restaurants and shops, and treks to Sylva, Asheville, and other spots are easy and fun. You’re surrounded by natural beauty. We hope to return.

Lake Glenville

Really enjoyed our stay. The views from the deck are spectacular. Very unique house with windows that face the lake. Clean upstairs with master bed and addition bedroom. Path to dock where you can swim or canoe. The path is a little tricky, but it works. Only complaint was the bad internet service, which in turn gave us very little ability to watch TV. All in all, great stay and would return.

Great spot on the lake

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage, as it had a wonderful view of the lake, not only from the deck, but from all the windows in the cottage. It got pretty cold while we were there, so it was nice we could still watch the changing colors of the sunrise and sunset of the lake from the comfort of the dining/living room. The cottage is located in a great neighborhood, that we safely could use to jog/run. It was also located just north of Cashiers, so we could easily get to town and beyond for dining, shopping, and hiking. The hot tub was fantastic, clean with working jets, and also a view of the lake. And we appreciated the steps down to the lake and took full advantage of the kayaks offered by the owners on their dock. We already want to come back and stay again.

Very enjoyable!

We enjoyed our time at Ted's Shed very much in spite of several rainy days. We only navigated the stairs to the lake once and they were a challenge (of course we are both approaching 80!) but doable. The kitchen was well equipped. The bed in the master is very high - I had to find a step ladder to get into it and my husband who is 6'3" even found it difficult. We loved the view of the lake and the peaceful atmosphere. We would definitely stay there again.

Week on the Lake

My husband and I rented this place to have access to the lake via the dock as pictured in the listing. Included were 2 kayaks, a canoe, swim ladder on the dock, and previous reviews indicated we could fish for brim or crappies. We came ready for a wonderful week with our grandson on lake front property. Unfortunately, the lake had been drawn down, the walk way to the dock was cantilevered nearly vertical and covered in a thick layer of moss. There was no way to get to the dock. the surrounding area did not lend itself to lake access, very overgrown and vertical. So we had a nice rental in a spacious clean house, terrific view from high above, but no lake front fun. I won't use VRBO again and will go through a local rental agency so I get the full picture next time.

Updated cabin, beautiful view, comfortable, would rent again

We loved our stay here. We went canoeing on the gorgeous lake, hiked to the waterfall, saw some comets in the night sky, soaked in the hot tub, slept great in the comfortable beds. We shopped in Cashiers and Dillsboro. Learned about the scary history of Dillsboro on the ghost tour. Ate pizza at Speedys in Sylva. The cabin has a great layout and is nicely furnished. The hot tub is large and works well. The walk to the dock is an adventure and adds to the cabin coolness! The availability of the canoe was a plus and made us think we must be reincarnated Native Americans as we paddled around the lake and explored the shoreline and island crannies. Why not 5 Stars? We arrived about 9:15 pm. We did have to call the owner to make sure we were going the right way and he very graciously stayed on the phone till we were at the cabin. A motion detector light came on. We then had to make our way to the lockbox and use the flashlights on our cell phones to get the key. (Note that the flashlight provided with the key didn’t work). Then we proceeded to unlock several doors, turn on the water and the breakers for the electricity and go into the house itself where we turned up the heat as it was 55 in the cabin. It warmed up quickly inside. The hot tub took overnight to warm up but worked wonderfully after that initial time. The owner asks that it be turned off after use so we had to plan when we were going to use it to make sure we gave it a couple of hours to reach the perfect temperature again. The TVs are not high def but with the view who watches tv! We didn’t grill so I can’t say how it works but it was clean. We found the keys to the gate and canoe by searching through drawers. Wifi worked great once we found the info. There were some puzzles and a couple of games but we brought our own. Be aware that the place on 107 where you are to take your trash wasn’t open on Sunday so we had to find a place to dump it. Soooooo some small inconveniences for renters reduced our rating to a 4 but they wouldn’t stop us from renting again!

Very private setting with an Incredible view! It is awesome perk to have access to the lake with your own private dock with kayaks and a canoe. Because of this, the rest of what we dealt with gets a pass. It was a lot of little things but they added up. First off, I had to re-text the owner to remind him to send me the code after having agreed to that process on the phone 15 minutes earlier. Not a great start. Overall, the house is showing it's age and you could tell there hasn't been much re-investment of money or effort to update it or maintain things along the way. The ice maker and fans in the living room don't work. Instead of repairing these things, there are notes posted to inform you these things no longer work. We also noticed the microwave wasn't working even though it was plugged in. Had to re-set the breakers in the fuse box to resolve the problem. Again, not a big deal - but it all adds up. The next morning, went downstairs to begin the "2-3 hour" process of heating up the water in the hot tub. The directions said to "push the JET button twice". First of all, there isn't a "jet" button. Instead there is a "pump" button. Second, come to find out from the owner, you only need to push this "jet/pump" button once - not twice like the instructions say. Regardless, the display on the jacuzzi initially displayed the current temp of the water (57) and then started blinking "FLO". Was instructed that this probably indicates that the filter might need changing and that there might be one in the storage room. The owner said "we're at the end of the season and I'm sure no one's ever done it". Really?! After an unsuccessful search for a replacement filter, we let the hot tub be for awhile in hopes that it would still allow the water to be heated. Several hours later, the water was still 57 degrees. After spending a lot of time on this - just gave up and shut off the hot tub and put the cover back on it. Owner refunded us $90 for our trouble with the hot tub. Nice gesture but we spent a lot of time on this and it would have probably been avoidable had there been a little effort the change the filter. Contrast this stay with our next VRBO rental up in Bryson City where the hot tub was already pre-heated and ready to go the second we walked in the door. Huge difference! Also, I have stayed at a lot of different VRBOs and this is the 1st time I've had to remove the garbage myself and take it to an offsite dump site 5 minutes away.

Breath taking views in a quiet Lake neighborhood!

What an amazing place to relax. The views were so beautiful, the weather was absolutely perfect. This place felt very welcoming and had everything you need. What a great cozy place to stay. We relaxed on the lower deck most of the time while the girls hung out on the dock and enjoyed the water. It was a nice hike and pathway down to the lake. The neighborhood was so quiet and peaceful. The road coming up is a country road but I must say much nicer then the road we live on. It was so nice to be able to bring our fur babies with us. It’s hard to find places so accommodating. The owner was very nice and helpful with all the instructions on the place. We would highly recommend this rental! A place we would definitely come back to again! Thank you! The Holden’s.
