Dillon Beach village home with ocean views and a quick walk to the beach
Charming 1918 beach cottage with ocean views and a 1-2 block walk to the beach and the country market. Watch the sunset and/or the surfers as you relax on porch, breath in the fresh air, listen to the waves lapping on the sandy beach. Compared to many of the village homes, we are fortunate to have a garden patio with dining area, lounge chairs, firepit and weber BBQ plus more parking than most village homes can offer. The Village is known for its original charming fishing cabin community, friendly people, dog friendly beach, surfing, walking, fishing and generational family fun. Our cabin is our peaceful place home away from the farm, we pride ourselves on organic bedding and farm to table kitchen. If you like farm to table goodies, let us know before you arrive and we will have something fun for you that is in season from the farm.
Great location with easy walk to the beach, store and restaurant. Lovely kitchen. If you have difficulty with stairs this may not be the place for you. Plenty of great parking and lovely outdoor area for relaxing. Look forward to our next trip.
Loved the view & space for kids playing! Kitchen was a dream to cook in. Plenty of space for family fun and close walk to the beach and store. Love love love! Ariana was a pleasure to work with.
Great location. Nice ocean views. Easy walk to beach and market. Kitchen is well stocked and sufficient size for cooking family meals. Downstairs sleeping and bathroom is fine for teens and older children. Nice patio and good to have a parking area.
Home great location near Dillonâs beach. Hall to 3rd bedroom downstairs is very narrow and downstairs area not for tall people, my husband had to duck. Decent view from porch of the beach.
We came to Dillon Beach for a Memorial for my husband's father. We were thrilled to be able to rent this home as it used to belong to his family. There's great communication with the host, the house was lovely and tidy. Everything
was there, including some farm fresh eggs and jam!
My Wife and two boys (ages 7 & 10) stayed for a week over 4th of July. The house was perfect. Clean and well equipped. The highlight was definitely the location. It is less than 1 block from the beach trail, which puts you right on Dillon Beach!! 5 minutes door to door!
We enjoyed our stay at the beach house. The kitchen was great and well-appointed for cooking all of our meals in. Tough to beat the wonderful ocean views from the living room and the deck. The deck was particularly nice because it was covered and provided a great extension of the living space.
I had made the reservation for 6 people and a small dog. As there were actually 7 of us, I messaged the owner immediately and also gave her the weight of our dog (28lbs). She responded very positively and we were excited for the trip. I wasn't aware of any more correspondence after that or any requests on her part. If she had, it certainly didn't go to my email. We paid and all was confirmed.
Our two families arrived at the place at checkin time after a long drive to find that the place was still being cleaned and they weren't expecting us for several days. We hung out at the beach for an hour and the place was nice and clean and we had a great time. I would have left a good review if the owner hadn't charged us $400 afterwards justified by various fictional stories such as the children or "large dog" breaking the bed and "swinging from the chandeliers." We were very considerate guests. A short leg from the bedframe did break when my tall husband sat at the foot of the bed, which was normal use of the furniture. We reported it right away to the staff member we met on site who conveyed it to the host, but the property owner told us this wasn't acceptable and charged us for the damage. She also claimed that the booking had been made for 1 person, which I'm thinking must have been a technical issue with the app. But she blamed me and said I hadn't paid enough. I had no idea there was an issue with any of it until after our stay.
We are originally from Valley Ford near Dillon Beach and currently have a ranch/farm in Santa Rosa called Casari Ranch. We grow our own food and often have farm goodies that we share with our guests. We are beach people and love to share our cottage with folks to create special memories. Having a beach home has been a life long dream for us. I, Ariana, am a professional equestrian and realtor, and my husband, Casey, is a fisherman, construction, 4th generation sheep rancher from his nearby family ranch and together we have a passion for farm to table, healthy living and enjoying the treasures of nature.
We love Dillon Beach. Having grown up along the Marin Sonoma coast, we have a special appreciation for Dillon Beach for its small village vibe, friendly people and dramatic views and usually calm shores. Dillon Beach boasts a great dog friendly walking beach, surfing and fishing. We are fortunate to have a great mini market in the village with a nice selection of organic foods, wines and snacks, and even coffee in the morning. People are really friendly here. We love that. Most of the houses in the village were built in the early 1900's as cabins often before indoor plumbing, so it is its own little treasure of simplicity as opposed to big giant houses.
We are very fortunate to be on a double lot compared to many homes in the village and so we actually have a designated parking area which many homes do not and an outdoor patio with succulent and foliage that attracts the local birds and deer. We also have two functional levels whereas many only homes here have one main floor. So we have 2 floors and have alot more square footage than alot of the homes in the village. If you want a large, modern home then head up the hill above the village. But if you want to walk out your door and be on the beach in 2 blocks, we are for you. We also have a cozy porch that you can sit and watch the surfers, listen to the waves lap on the shore and watch the sunset.
