Nice house! Comfortable and homey. The kayaks were a great added bonus as well. If we weren't at the house we spent our time in Fayetteville which was only about 20-25 minutes away. Was a great week.
Great weekend getaway at The Riverfront Bungalow! We loved staying right on New River. Plenty to do... enjoying the view, fishing, & kayaking between day trips to local places like New River Gorge, Babcock State Park & The Grist Mill, Hawks Nest State Park and best of all Cathedral Falls (less than a mile away)! The Bungalow had all we needed and was just as pictured!
We were in the area for Rafting. Landed on this spot due to riverfront convience and water access. We couldn't have had a better experience. A beautiful 20 minute ride to Adventure of the Gorge where we were rafting and to the closest town. This house doesn't look like much from the road but inside not a detail was missed. Decor was chic and comfortable right down to the new luxurious throw blankets for the couch. Less than a minute to the Beautiful Cathedral Falls and the Kanawha Falls. Spent memorable moments on the river paddling in the kayaks and paddle boards. My oldest caught a smallmouth right off the bat however struggled the remaining time. There is a Foodmart right up the street and that is about it in the area. We were fine since it was a short trip. This place is wonderful and would definitely stay again!
We had an amazing stay. The house was adorable with an old school charm and modern amenities. The drives to everything was beautiful winding roads. The river was perfect for kayaking/paddle boarding and lots of fishing. It was absolutely perfect for my husband and I and our 2 teen boys.
Highly recommend River Expedition for white water rafting and New River ATV. Also, had a blast at Pirates Cove cliff jumping.
We absolutely loved the stay here. Everything on the inside was very clean and everything that you would need is provided. The view of the river is beautiful and canât wait to come back during the summer to enjoy the river. The property manager Cindy was very accommodating to anything we needed and would quickly respond to any questions or issues. Would highly recommend staying here.
This new Vrbo listing was a quaint Craftsman by the river. The owners quickly responded to any questions we had. The more adventurous members of our family enjoyed kayaking and paddle boarding in the river. Clean with a nice kitchen to cook in. Great wifi.
We stayed here for 4 days while in town for a rafting trip on the New River. We absolutely loved the bungalow! It was plenty spacious for 2 adults and one child and was stocked with the necessities. It's proximity to Kanawah Falls and New River Gorge National Park couldn't have been better. It was great being able to put in kayaks right from the yard and paddle on the Gauley, New, and Kanawah Rivers. We'd stay here again without hesitation.
My husband and I and our kids stayed in Gauley Bridge for two nights while my husband ran a 50 mile race - Highball to Thurmond. Cindy was a wonderful host and the property was perfect for us!
The house is off of a main road but that didnât bother us at all since there is a little access road in the back right on the river. Such beautiful views from the deck, which was brand new. We enjoyed sitting outside and enjoying the beautiful weather.
Everything was exceptionally clean and the kitchen was well stocked with a Keurig and any cooking utensils and pots we needed. There is also a grill outside on the deck, but we ended up not using it. The house also has central air which was a huge plus.
Cindy was quick to respond to any questions we had and I also just have to say that the grounds caretaker, John who lives next door, was such a kind, friendly man! We chatted with him multiple times and he gave us a recommendation of a good dinner place that the kids enjoyed a lot.
All in all what a wonderful trip! If you find yourself in the area, I could not recommend a better place to stay!
