Nice renovated property, a few blocks from the french quarters outfitted with a ping pong table and a foosball table. Grocery store, Walgreens and Starbucks 2 blocks away..............................
The original room we booked had a frozen AC due to the very hot weather, but the host was quick to offer his other space. Both spaces were cute and cozy and had everything we needed for the weekend. Was super close to all the popular places in New Orleans and was in a safe neighborhood. We had the best time here.
This is a great place to stay if you are looking for a place to sleep, close to the french quarter. However, if you prefer places that provide bathroom rugs, hand towels, extra blankets, clean dish sponges, and ceiling fans that dont rattle, you may want to explore other options. The host was accommodating when I asked for an additional towel and pillowcases for the spare pillows in the room though. For the comfort level of the space, there really isnt anywhere to hang out or sit side by side to watch a movie or the news. There is a comfy chase, but no other seating besides the bar stools and a desk chair. Overall, our needs were met and the host was responsive but manage your expectations if you choose to stay here (hard to beat the price compared to others).
Loved this spot. You're getting a great rate, for an amazing location. Everything is in walking distance, and it was just 2 blocks down from the parade that was in town the weekend we stayed. This place isn't gonna knock your socks off, it's not flashy, it's just a great resting spot to recharge while you enjoy what you came to New Orleans for...the food, the music, the art, the drinks, the nightlife. We loved it, and we'll be staying here again I'm sure.
Great place. excellent deal for the price. Perfect location for us (with our Ebikes.) The bed was really firm which was good for me sleeping on my back but... not great for my girl who sleeps on her side also would have been nice to have a extra spare blanket. Really great pizza/bar place right across the street.Would stay there again!
A beautiful place to relax and away from the noise of the French Quarter. Just few blocks from the quarter and the Marigny. I would highly recommend and will definitely stay again. It does get hot being just 1 AC during the summer. If driving bring a fan or the owner will provide a fan. Would recommend having 2 AC units to keep it cool during the extreme heat of the summer.
This location was extremely dirty, so much so that we couldnât stay there. The bed was broken and the hot water has major issues.
There are better options.
The property was not at all what I thought. When we checked in, the chair that was in the living room was broken (it was shown as fine in the listing pictures). The property did not have a microwave, which was advertised in 2 different spots in the listing. I paid a lot of money to stay in this location and was very disappointed with the quality and the fact that things were promised in the ad that were not actually available.
The host never replied to any messages or phone calls
Vrbo put me up in a hotel for one night then I had to pay for the other out of pocket. Horrible experience
Smelled like an ashtray. Someone was chainsmoking in there which made everything feel dirty although it appeared clean. Freezing cold with only access to an AC unit for temperature. Not in a good neighborhood, should have looked at the Google street view. Only stayed one night out of the 4 booked and no refund.
So there wasn't a lot of hot water when I showered. In the bedroom 1 of the lights in the fan wasn't working. Also, the nightstand didn't have a light bulb in the lamp. It smelled like smoke when we first walked in. We told the property manager. He said sorry to us. He said they had a party there the night before. He got a phone call from the neighbors, who told the project manager. The project manager could have answered his phone and return calls better. Also, the bed wasn't bolted to the headboard. Other than that it wasn't bad. A place to sleep, shower, and get up and go on with your day. Walking distance to Bourbon wasn't bad at all either.
Upon arrival, we entered the door code to a unit that the owner gave us, where others were staying, and ended up not being our unit. Owner had sent us two different unit codes, major safety issue. However, the owner did answer on our first call & corrected it. The neighborhood was slightly sketchy & we did not realize it was one building with about 3 units. Our unit was bare bones and smelled highly of weed upon entering. There were not any dish-ware (mugs, silverware, plates), only 2 bath towels, 2 washcloths. No hand-towels. The bed had no box spring so we were essentially on the floor. No use for the TV bc there is not a couch to sit on to enjoy it. The place was however only about 3 blocks from a major bus pickup that we utilized our entire stay to go into the city. If it rains, be mindful of where you park bc our car was inches from being flooded out. The street floods pretty bad. So yes, this was merely a place to get a shower & lay our head.
It's in a fantastic location. Quiet neighborhood. Less than a half hour walk to Bourbon/Royal Street. During the day its very safe and quiet. At night I would Uber because it got a little crazy a few blocks away. There isnt a couch but they did have a hao4 pic a picof it so.thats
