Family visit

We were visiting our daughter and found this place close to where she lives. The location is so close to the water and restaurants. It’s clean and well stocked. We loved everything about it and definitely hope to stay there next time we come to Seattle.

Ideal for families

This place was ideal for our needs. We wanted to stay in a quiet neighborhood near the beach with easy access to downtown. The house is newly renovated and clean. The beach is a few minutes walk if you want to stroll along the Puget Sound. There is also a place that sells baked goods and coffee around the corner. Very pleasant!

This house was perfect for our family of 5! Very close to the beach and once the car was parked, we didn't need to move it! The house was clean with everything we needed. This little gem of a beach bungalow is the perfect location. We stayed for 9 days and it was amazing. The house is has great parking, is super close to all activities on Alki, and has a kitchen, bathroom, living and dining space that are beautifully done. We are ready to book again next summer!

bright clean modern house only two houses away from Alki beach

The house was very clean and had most everything we needed. It is only two houses away from the beach, and has a small ocean view. There is off street parking which is a big bonus in that area. There was a small snafu with check-in but Carson was able to help us out. Communication with hosts was quick and efficient. Would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful Stay!

This cottage was wonderful and the location was perfect. It’s just steps away from the beach and restaurants. We really enjoyed our early morning walks and being able to walk to grab a drink or delicious dinner. The cottage had everything we needed, nice washer/dryer, kitchen implements, comfortable beds, and room enough for our things. The decoration is light, airy and very cute. Also having parking at the house was a huge convenience . The owner is very responsive and nice. Overall it was a great stay and highly recommended!

Effortless and comfortable

Our son and daughter in law live in Seattle. We were visiting them and we all love to hang out in the Alki Beach area. They have a dog and I knew we’d want to take walks and catch dinner, etc. This rental was perfect for us. The house is perfectly located and is very clean and has lots of things to accommodate a comfy stay. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom is modern with a nice shower. The kitchen has everything you’d need but we mostly just did snacks and morning coffee. We would stay here again.

Alki Beach Retreat

I just spent four nights at this property with my daughter and my three grandchildren who are 3, 3, and 5. This house is half a block from Alki Beach and half a block from a city park with fun toys for the kiddos. The area is beautiful. There are so many restaurants within walking distance. Thankfully, this property has ample parking as the street is a bit narrow and residents park in the street. It was very hot during our visit, and the owners supplied extra fans to help cool the house. We will be back!!!!!

Nicely remodeled

Nice little place. Very clean, updated. Super fast response from manager. (Minutes) walking distance to lots of food, cafes and beach. Fairly quiet neighborhood. Driveway is what sold me on the rental. Needed to park a full size truck. Was still somewhat tight to get into the driveway, due to street parked cars. Might be too small for any more than 4-5 people, I was here alone so it was great.

Perfect In Every Way!

I stayed at Alki Retreat for 4 days. An adorable west Seattle bungalow that has been lovingly remodeled. It is super clean and very comfortable, a one minute walk to many wonderful restaurants and the beach with a long walking path. The beds were awesome as was the shower. It was below freezing at night while I was there and the furnace kept the home very warm. I traveled with my dog and found it was perfect for her too. Easy access to the back yard and not a lot of "stuff" that needed to be put away to dog proof the place. And...the off street driveway parking was so great!!! Thanks Grace for your great communication and a wonderful stay. I'll be back!!

Fantastic Location on Alki Beach, West Seattle

My family of 4 stayed at this great cottage style house for one week. It was our first visit to Seattle and we were thrilled with the comforts of the house (new kitchen and bathroom) plus the living area. The house is a 1-block walk from Alki Beach and only 1.5 miles from the West Seattle water taxi that takes you straight into the city. We used this location to visit all the big attractions in the Seattle area including the Aquarium, Public Market and the Space Needle. Grace is VERY responsive and a great host. The house is SO CLOSE to the ocean that the house is cooled by the ocean breezes which means no A/C was needed during July. Our two children (ages 19 and 17) loved the location too. My wife loved using the shady porch for enjoying a cup of coffee and reading.

This was the worst VRBO stay we’ve ever had. The home was not clean. The home did not have the same furniture as shown in the listing. There were broken dishes. There were not adequate means of cooling. It was a very warm weekend in Seattle and our stay was extremely uncomfortable as temperatures in the house approached 90 degrees. The host was unpleasant to communicate with and didn’t seem to care about her guests comfort in the least. I do not recommend staying at this property or any other that this host may rent.

We had a great time for our fall visit. Property is just as listed and meet our expectations. Easily walkable to the beach, parks, restaurants, coffee, etc. Was great to have the 775 route that brought us to the water taxi so we could get to the downtown area without having to drive or uber.
