'Alki-Soundview' est situé à seulement 20 min. de l'aéroport international SeaTac et à 15 min.(en voiture) du centre-ville de Seattle, les clients pourront profiter de la vue magnifique depuis votre appartement de Puget Sound, les Olympic Mtns, Island Views et surplombant Alki Beach / Point depuis cet appartement bien aménagé en rez-de-jardin (1200 pieds carrés) sur Genesee Hill à l'ouest de Seattle. Cet appartement privé comprend une chambre avec un lit queen-size, une salle de bains avec une grande douche carrelée (sans baignoire). L'appartement peut accueillir cinq personnes. Les lits supplémentaires sont des lits pliants. La grande cuisine entièrement meublée comprend tous les gros appareils électroménagers ainsi qu'une cafetière et un grille-pain. Un parking est disponible dans la rue sans issue à côté de l'appartement. Nous listons exclusivement sur VRBO / Homeaway et ses affiliés. «Alki-Soundview» est une base idéale pour explorer la région du Grand Seattle. Descendez la colline jusqu'à Alki Beach (0,7 mi) pour pique-niquer, faire du vélo, du patin, du volley-ball et marcher ou faire du jogging sur plusieurs kilomètres de marche sur la plage, explorer et profiter des activités axées sur l'eau.

Un bon transport public en bus, un bateau-taxi à pied jusqu'au centre-ville et des ferries de l'État de Washington à l'île de Vashon et à la péninsule de Kitsap, vous offrent la possibilité d'accéder à tous les divertissements et aux sites d'intérêt de la région. Pensez également à utiliser Uber ou Lyft qui sont facilement disponibles ainsi que plusieurs services de partage de voitures ou de vélos. Extremely clean, very well furnished and decorated, every appliance, pots and pans, dishes, silverware, I mean every thing. Like being at home away from home. And the views, especially at sunset are just spectacular. We will definitely stay here when ever we come to Seattle again.

We so enjoyed our stay here! The views were beautiful, the sunsets were spectacular, and John and Katherine were wonderful hosts. Their lovely apartment was so perfect for my husband and I. We had everything we needed and enjoyed our morning walks to the beach. I would highly recommend.

Wonderful View Apartment in West Seattle!

This is our second stay at the lovely apartment, and we hope to return again! The location is fantastic, walkable to the shoreline and with gorgeous water views! It's so nicely furnished and decorated, quiet, comfortable bed and spacious. Well-equipped kitchen and nice bathroom. We really enjoyed our stay!

Excellent Stay

Alki-Soundview was beautiful, clean and spacious. The view was spectacular. My husband really enjoyed his morning runs along the Alki Beach. It was a perfect place for a delightful weekend get away in the PNW! We did wish that TV in the bedroom is a little bigger :)

Gorgeous VRBO

Everything was perfect about this VRBO. The location was outstanding, about four miles from downtown Seattle, yet it felt miles away. The view of the sound and mountains took our breath away. It was the perfect, comfortable, secure getaway for our week stay. The host were very kind. Don't miss out on this one.

beautiful view, centrally located, great hosts, perfect home base for a Seattle visit

The view from Alki Sound view is remarkable. The sunsets were breathtaking. The home is an approximately 20 minute drive to city center and is very close to all main vein highways to get you anywhere you want to go in the PNW. The apartment was clean and very well appointed, containing pretty much everything one would need for a weekend or extended stay. I would highly recommend this rental and would definitely stay here again and again.

Family Visit

This property was 7 minutes from my nephew’s house. It was a wonderful place to stay! It’s very close to Alki Beach but not in the traffic of it. It takes only a few minutes to drive to the beach and restaurants. The view of Puget Sound from our windows was stunning. The rental was super clean and very comfortable. I love not having to search for a parking space. We are definitely staying here on all of our return trips to Seattle.

An amazing view!

We stayed 5 nights at Alki Soundview and it was everything it advertised and more! John and Kathryn were great hosts, giving us privacy but always available for help and with suggestions for things to do in the West Seattle area and beyond. We made this our "home base" for Seattle sights. It is a great location to take in downtown Seattle as well as the Ballard and Lake Washington areas. We rented a car but used the Water Taxi several times to Seattle when a car was not necessary. We were able to catch the Shuttle right down the street and enjoyed the view from the Puget Sound both to and from Seattle. Alki Soundview is located in West Seattle and we enjoyed several restaurants in this area as well. We made several trips to the Metropolitan Market - about 5 minutes away- for groceries and late night snacks. Having a kitchen for leftovers and snacks was a bonus! All this being said we never tired of the view of the Olympic Mountain Range everytime we returned. We hope to return!

Wonderful!

My husband and I just left Alki-Soundview after a wonderful one month stay. The ground floor apartment was just as advertised and pictured........clean, homey,well equipped and great views! The hosts, Kathryn and John, live in the upper two floors and clearly love their home. They were very respectful of our privacy yet we knew they were immediately available should we need anything. Kathryn and John were also very responsive throughout the process, from our initial contact requesting more info thru checkout. There is plenty of on street parking in this very quiet and safe neighborhood. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed (full sized frig, dishwasher, 4 burner stove/oven, microwave, toaster, coffee pot, plenty of dishes, plenty of pots/pans/utensils). The stacking washer/dryer were great to have in the apartment. The living room was comfy and has a full size pull out bed. There is also a couple of chairs that make into single beds I think. There is a desk area if you need to do any work. And secure wifi of course. Many books, games, movies to keep you entertained. Although we didn't use it, there is also a private telephone for your use. The bedroom was quite roomy and comfortable. Plenty of closet space in the apartment. The bathroom also had plenty of storage and a roomy shower (bigger than the photo appears even). Plenty of linens and towels. We also enjoyed several afternoons on the patio enjoying the view of the sound and the Olympic Mountains beyond (and the lovely landscape of the home)! We look forward to staying at Alki-Soundview in the future! Thank you Kathryn and John!!

This was an amazing place to stay! West Seattle was an adorable place. The view from the house was amazing. We enjoyed a short walk to the beach where we enjoyed several delicious meals at different places. The thoughtfulness of all the little touches throughout the house was amazing. There were motion sensing night lights, two stand alone fans, extra pillows and blankets, coffee, tea, filtered water…and the water pressure in the shower…amazing!!!! The owners were very nice, kind and great with communication. This was a wonderful experience!

The apartment is like a home. It is comfortable, beautifully maintained and exhibited a clear attention to detail. The views are amazing and the gardens and fountain that surround the property show a love of gardening and, again, attention to detail. I am a senior citizen with some mobility issues. I contacted the owners about ease of access and received an almost immediate answer from Kathryn identifying the way to get to the apartment without having to climb stairs. I look forward to staying with Kathryn and John in the future. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay.

This place is amazing. The views are phenomenal. The house is immaculate. Everything we needed was there. We loved the location. It is close to Seattle but far enough away to feel relaxed. The drive to everything we wanted to do was easy. We didn't try the water taxi because the times didn't work but that was okay. We did walk to the beach and found a nice nature reserve park to walk though on the way back. The house sits on a steep hill so we did drive down a few times instead of making the climb back up.Check in was easy and the host accommodated our flight times, which was super nice. Parking was easy also and we could see the car from the windows which I liked.Also within a short drive were restaurants, a winery, breweries and a few cute shops.This was a perfect stay!

Gorgeous place and view. Gracious hosts like the owners make the place even more desirable. We spent several evenings sitting in the front porch area, basking in the evening sun. Not very hot all (we are Floridians).Definitely need a car and enhanced driving skills. Lots of hills and narrow streets with parked cars to contend with. A couple of miles from the apartment, all around really. That is Seattle.

The property has a great location and nice views. Directions from owner were helpful and clear. The apartment was a perfect size for a couple.The amenities were just ok. The apartment is dated and seemed somewhat dingy. We found a stain on one of the living room pillows that seemed to be some sort of body fluid, we found a couple if pieces of candy on the bedroom floor when we arrived, the extra blankets were wool, stiff and had a smell. The pillows were very worn and not comfortable. The two cooking knives were very dull, unable to use for cutting food.Additionally, the owner came to meet us and made a negative comment about the governor of the state we are from. I was taken aback at the inappropriateness of the comment and assumption she made about how her comment would be received. I have never had a rental property owner make any political statement to me and I have never discussed politics with a property owner in the course of renting a vacation property. It was in bad taste and not appropriate. We would not rent this property in the future.

This is a beautiful rental where we stayed for a week in July. Ambience plus comfort and convenience. It’s a beautiful and safe neighborhood and easy parking. Excellent communication from beginning to end. The photos are very accurate.

West Seattle has been our home for over 35 years. We bought this house in 2005 and spent several years doing a 'down to the studs' remodel which added a self-contained apartment on the garden level for family, friends and guests. We live upstairs.

We enjoy travel, meeting travelers and sharing our love for this area. Now that we are empty-nesters, we are ready to offer the apartment and to extend Northwest hospitality to our visitors.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

West Seattle has a remarkable mix of resources and activities. It is like living in a small beach town yet Seattle's downtown is just 45 minutes away. This should improve when the West Seattle Bridge reopens in mid-2022.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

This is a large, private, tastefully furnished and decorated view apartment in a great location. We are a 10-12 minute walk from the action at Alki Beach. In the peak summer months it's great to be part of the action, but it's also important to be able to get away from it. We are a few blocks from two different bus lines and a free shuttle to the Water Taxi that travels across Elliott Bay to downtown Seattle. Whether you travel downtown by bus, water or car (about 15 minutes), there is plenty to do once you get there.
