Glamping at its best. This lot is at the highest point over looking the lake. This travel trailer sleeps 6. Made for children, the park offers a lake for fishing, boat rentals, beach, swimming pools, game room, mini-golf, kids activities, and more. Air conditioning when it is cold, heat when it is hot, stay dry on a rainy day, inside bathroom. Is this really camping? It is more like Glamour Camping; Glamping. Only 45 minutes from Chicago, and 10 minutes to the Indiana Dunes State Park.
We enjoyed our time at the Lakeshore. We wanted to be able to use a camper for a different type of vacation. The camper was clean and provided us what we needed. The residents were very welcoming and looked out for us and our kids. The beaches of Lake Michigan are gorgeous!
Bedding was great! Owner was very nice. But we had to clean mildew out of the fridge, the bathtub has spiders in it, etc. overall good stay good for price I would pick again.
We stayed here a couple nights as part of a long road trip. Our kids enjoyed the sand volleyball, playground and mini golf ($2). We enjoyed the great weather, grilling by the water and convenience of a kitchen! In addition to the provided bathroom, there are multiple nearby camp style bath houses that are clean. The camper itself is older but maintained; there are pots & pans, plates etc.
Lakeshore Camp Resort is what I call a "poor man's paradise". It is an older campground with gravel roads, it is not the fanciest campground but I doubt you will find another where you will have as much fun. It is not a quiet place as people come on the weekends to party and celebrate all kind of occasions.
