Comfortable apartment next to the sea. The complex has 3 pools and direct access to the sea. Is in the heart of the Hotel zone and walking distance to la Isla Shopping mall and many of the best restaurants. In front of the complex there is plaza Kukulcan where you will find a nice supermarket, banks, ATM etc. Few steps away from the bus stop.

Decent place for a family

We liked the building, great pool and beach. The apartment is nice but could use some updating. Also, whoever cleaned the apartment did not do a thorough job. The couch had a weird smell, kitchen cabinets are old and have an odor coming from them, there are some large cracks in the walls, water damage to apartment is apparent in different rooms (this really should be repaired to prevent mold). Overall, we had a good time here but the apartment could definitely use some updating.

Amazing location,Good time.

The location is 11/10 everything you need is nearby and the beach is a 10 second walk from your villa and the view from inside is amazing. The rooms are nice and big, plus the kitchen is nice and stocked with cookware. The host gets back to you fast. Plenty of seating. The only complaints I have is 2 of the air conditioners arent as cold as the others so those rooms were kinda hot compared to the other 2. The window in the bedroom bathroom doesn't have a curtain and is hard to close the metal one so anyone can see inside. The showers don't have a ledge to hold soap so you just have to put it on the floor.Also the front door doesn't have a working deadbolt but the villa does have security so it wasn't a big deal. Overall its great if you've got a big family or if you want to go with your friends and you still want privacy between eachother.

Family Christmas

This was a great place to stay! I do have a few comments that are not negative as I had a great experience with the host and would rent from her again, but just a few points to mention. All 3 bedrooms are on the bottom floor down a stairway, this was somewhat of an issue as we travelled with an elder family member and it was very hard for her to navigate. Also, the beds do not have a full set of sheets, only a fitted sheet and there were no washcloths. You must use a lighter to light the gas stove (supplied in the utensil drawer), and showers did not have a shelf for toiletries which was challenging for my mother to bend to get her shower supplies. The 3 spas outside were large and beautiful but were not heated so we didn’t use. Please understand that these are merely informational facts for you…the condo was large enough for our family of 5 and the location was fantastic. Directly across the street from a mall with a well stocked supermarket, walking distance to several convenience stores, restaurants and an enormous mall called La Isla. We also walked north on the beach and got a great beach massage right outside The Westin. Don’t taxi…we got taken for a 40 USD trip into the hotel zone one way and quickly realized you can snag an Uber for 5-6 USD most anywhere to and from in the hotel zone. The beach area in front of the resort is gorgeous. There are several pool chairs or you can rent from beach vendor for about 20-25 USD. Def recommend this host/resort!!

Spacious apartment in great location

We loved our stay at Villas Marlin. The apartment was clean and had lots of room for storage. Communication was excellent during our stay and prior. The host Elisa is a lovely lady who shows she cares about her guests experience. There are lots of restaurants and a big shopping center with a grocery store within walking distance of the apartment which is located on the 5th floor of the third building (there is an elevator). They have beach towels, a cooler and an umbrella for your use. The pool is large and right in front of the ocean. They have a snack bar and offer service for breakfast and some food throughout the day plus drinks. However, you are allowed to bring your own food and drinks to the pool area as well. Marlin beach is pretty, but it can be a little rough at times with waves. The only suggestion I would have is to add a few more kitchen items like a few newer pots, a kettle or an electric pot and maybe upgrade one of the AC units in the bedroom with twin beds. Overall the apartment is great and has plenty of essentials. The villas are family friendly, not a lot of party goers, they try to keep the noise low after dark just an fyi. We would come back to stay again as we really enjoyed our visit! 😊
