Our family of 17 stayed for a long weekend. Sitting on the deck with a cup of coffee listening to the sound of the river was so peaceful. There was plenty of sleeping space and the kids loved exploring down by the river. We loved our stay!
I just wanted to express how much we enjoyed our stay at your lovely VRBO! The peaceful atmosphere along the river was truly rejuvenating, and the long driveway through the woods added a great touch to our arrival. We loved exploring the area and relaxing by the water.
Thank you for providing such a beautiful getaway. We hope to return soon!
We rented this property for our family vacation. We really enjoyed the setting; beside the West Branch Peshekee River with a steep rock face on the other side of the river, kayaking on the river, off the grid, it feels like you're miles from anywhere... If you want to try kayaking on the river by the house, you'll need to do it in early summer or the water level might be too low.. It dropped quite a bit just in the 6 days we were there. Also, the house doesn't have central air, only 3 window air conditioners and we found out that several of the rooms get pretty warm if it happens to go into the 80's during the stay.. We had a problem one morning; the water just barely came in the house. We gave Mike a call and it was PROMPTLY taken care of..HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
We stayed here for the Labor Day weekend with a group of 10 friends. The home is pretty secluded but that made it more special and helped us forget our city lives for the weekend. The bridge over the creek is so peaceful and we made use of the fire pit, grills, and even scaled the cliff on the back side. Communication with the host, Nikki, was easy and straightforward. After four nights, we were sad to leave.
We take a family trip every year in the fall but this year we decided to try a winter trip. The grandkids wanted to ski and a couple of the adults did too. The snow conditions weren't the best but we still had fun hiking and playing outside. The property is georgeous with the river running through the back yard. Plenty of places to explore. The accommodations were great, lots of room for all of us including a bed for everyone. We will probably try renting again maybe in the summer or fall. Highly recommend.
Shining 5 stars!! We had an immediate family reunion and everyone couldnât stop staying wonderful things about this property! We maxed out their sleeping capacity and each family still felt that they had good privacy for their sleeping quarters. Super large house with many levels. We loved the giant fire pit outside and the deck over the creek was peaceful and beautiful!! The place is far out there and off the grid (literally) it was the perfect place for our family to be together and we hope to make it an annual stay! The host is very friendly and easy to contact. When we asked for more firewood he was there within the hour! Highly recommend.
We stayed for 5 nights and really enjoyed this property, to the point where one of my guys said if he won the powerball, heâd be buying this property. Pics donât come close to doing it justice!!!! Not even close! This property is STUNNING!! We only had one problem with water in the upstairs, and it was fixed asap! Turns out the plumber who had just been out, hadnât turned the water back on. Property owner was right out to get it working, and even asked if we needed him to bring us anything. Firewood was provided which was so super cool! Book this property ASAP!!!
We live and work in Marquette County, in 2019 our parent's friends were considering selling their lodge on whitefish river in Alger County that they ran as a business for many years, so we thought this would be great idea to buy it and not even familiar with VRBO at the time we wanted to rent the whole place out as one to large families and their friends so they could all be under one roof comfortably. So now here we are now a few years later being able to offer five great unique and beautiful places with your help and what I mean by your help is by considering and renting these properties for your getaway. We are able to preserve these properties, keep the forest from getting cut down and keep the parcels from getting split up. This allows these properties to keep going so families and groups like yours can enjoy them for years to come. From our family to yours, Thank you!
