I spent a lot of time searching for a house that would accommodate multiple families with its setup and this one was perfect for us. And itâs just as clean and beautiful as it shows in the photos.
It is a lovely property and location. We had a great time. The kitchen has everything you should need for cooking. It is remote so keep in mind you are about 35 minutes from nearest grocery store. It is also about 2.5 miles on a gravel/dirt road. The hot tub is actually a large jetted bathtub. The views and location are amazing.
Pros:Rebecca was a wonderful host that went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable.House was very nice and well sized for our group of 8 people. Had a beautiful view of the lake from both updstairs and downstairs. Kitchen was well stocked, which we made use of as we at all our meals in.The Fire ring area and available Kayaks were big pluses.Cons:A few minor maintenance type items that weren't big deals (all could be worked around), but were a little annoying.Part of the back yard was torn up where we thought we might play yard games (we were able to play some of them on the new stone patio).
The house is great, the location is out of this world, and the backyard is to die for. Lake front with a fire pit right on the lake. Owners were prompt in returning calls and taking care of our needs.
Perfect location for reconnecting with family. Wonderful location on Lake Michigamme with waterfront seating and kayaks to explore. Hiking and swimming and plenty of space for everyone to be together or relax on your own. Host is responsive and very easy to work with. Definitely want to stay here again!
We had a great week at the property which was a perfect home base for our snowmobile trip. Would definitely come back again. Had plenty of room for 8 people.
Nice house with beautiful views of Lake Michigamme!
Very clean house with all the amenities. Property owner is easy to get in touch with and responds quickly. Second time staying at this house, and would stay again!
Place is beautiful and a nice open floor plan! The process started out a little rough as i had to ask for the code to get in. Usually with other rentals i get that emailed the day before or day of. When we arrived early in the morning the temps outside were -11. The house was only 50 degrees as the heat had stopped working. There was ice in the toilets. I communicated with the host and got no response so we went to bed with blankets on. In the morning i checked the book on the counter and called the host since we had not received a response back. They called the heating company and they were able to get out there in the afternoon. Host was gracious in letting us know we could use the house next door. Communication was not the best but it was a beautiful place with lots of room! Only other comment was the 4th bedroom is not a legal bedroom as there was no window.
The house was very comfortable, clean and had lots of things to do.
We enjoyed the waterfront, the playhouse, the firepit, the sauna, the foosball table and much more!
We highly recommend this house as our three generation family all had a great time there.
Everything was great, and very clean. Could use a little more lighting in the great room but that was the only problem we had. Would definitely stay there again
House and property were very nice and well stocked. The lake was fairly quiet, clean, and enjoyable. We liked paddling to the various islands on the lake.
Spectacular property. The cabin was well stocked with everything our group needed, but we spent the majority of our stay enjoying the dock, and taking in the lake views. Couldnât recommend more!
If you are looking for an out of the way, private location, but isn't too far away from some of the "bigger" cities in the UP, this is a great house for a large family to enjoy. While the property no longer has the jet skis available, Rebecca our host, did inform us of that and did provide names of places we could rent from. Jay, the homeowner, happened to be at the property one day with his new Jet Ski and did offer to take the boys for a quick ride on the lake. Jay made sure we had everything we needed. We never saw any other neighbors. Very isolated, but that is what we were looking for. Huge yard to play cornhole and croquet. The house was large enough to support 6 adults and 3 boys ages 6-9 and not get under each other's feet but also had a large dining room table where we could eat together, with the boys at the kitchen island/bar, right there with us. Nice family room area to sit and relax on rain days and huge lower level so adults and kids can have their own space.
We ended up staying at another property with the same owner due to ongoing renovations at the originally booked house. The property we stayed at was next door, larger, but by all appearances the same class/level. Our visit was a bit early for the peak season when, Iâm told, the lake is warmer and there are more water sports. However, it was perfect for me and my family as a quiet getaway. The house was so quiet that the first night I slept 12 hours straight! Beds were comfortable, the hot tub was top notch, and the sauna was incredible. We picked up steaks at a relatively nearby meat market and enjoyed using the grill. The kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed some of the board games there at the house as well as others we brought.
It was very nice although the location was out of convenience so make sure you bring all your food & drinks as running to store is not an easy task ⊠so come fully prepared
With all you need
Excellent communication from ownership. Couldnât have asked for more!! This is an amazing home right on the lake. Easy access to gas and trail #8 on snowmobiles. Beautiful kitchen with open floor plan, works well with larger group. Thank you for an awesome stay!! One more to do checked off our bucket list!!! Thank you Rebecca. Cheers!!!
