Welcome to your tranquil getaway in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. This carefully restored mid-century home sits on a private 14.5-acre wooded property featuring its own 4.5-acre lake, two ponds, and stunning views in every direction. Whether you're here to unwind, explore trails, or work remotely, this peaceful retreat is ready for you.

The home blends mid-century character with thoughtful modern updates. Enjoy lake views from the living room’s large windows and direct access to your own fully enclosed, private lake.

Inside, relax in the private indoor sauna, cook in a fully equipped modern kitchen with a dishwasher and coffee maker, and sleep soundly on firm, high-quality mattresses with soft linens and plenty of pillows. A dedicated home office includes two mounted monitors and reliable high-speed WiFi—ideal for remote work.

In the warmer months, enjoy three kayaks and a pedal boat on the lake. Outdoor amenities include a large deck, a screened-in gazebo with lake views, and a Weber grill—perfect for summer barbecues.

Located just 1 mile off US-41 on a paved road, the home is accessible year-round. A major ORV/snowmobile trail is only 200 yards away, and the spacious driveway can accommodate multiple vehicles or trailers. As the last home on a municipally maintained road, you’ll enjoy complete peace and privacy.

Nearby amenities include Michigamme Market (5 miles) for groceries and gas, Carla’s Cozy Inn (3 miles) for casual dining, and Mount Shasta (5 miles) for supper club-style meals. Marquette is 45 miles away via a scenic highway, with Sawyer International Airport just over 50 miles from the home.

A local property manager is available nearby for any in-person needs during your stay, and I’m always reachable through the Airbnb app to support your trip.

A Week in Heaven!

My husband, our fur baby Rocky & I had a wonderful week long stay at this lovely home. The host thought about every tiny detail to make our stay special. The home was lovely set on beautiful property. We felt at home and truly enjoyed our stay. We highly recommend this place for your next vacation.

Adorable cabin, gorgeous setting

A stunning area with lots of opportunities to enjoy the lake. The cabin has everything you could need! We enjoyed boating on the lake. The owners communicated well and were so helpful when we were a bit unprepared.

There’s not much more that I can add to the already overwhelmingly positive reviews but I’ll give it a shot….. The house is comfortable, clean, well decorated. Very cool mid century design. The property is private and the view of the lake and surroundings are breathtaking. We had one of the best trips as a family here. My children, 6 and 9 loved the backyard and made great use of it!! This place is special. No doubt about it!

Cozy with a 50's theme

We had a great time. Cute 50's theme inside. Comfy beds. We had a fire every night - watching the sun set behind the beautiful Fall trees over the lake. Hardwood Steakhouse in Covington is excellent! It's a good location for waterfall hunting. We saw many. Amy is a great host.

Hidden Oasis

It started with our search for our next adventure and turned into a wonderful weekend. The description was spot on. Communication was clear and accurate. Check in was a breeze. This place is super clean and everything you need is there. Safe and quiet setting. Close enough to gas, restaurants and trails. Overall we loved it and are already planning a return trip.

Great Holiday Weekend!

My partner and I spent three days at this property. The house is very clean and charming inside! The kitchen was big and easy to use. The land is beautiful, and we enjoyed taking the paddle boat out on the private lake each evening. I caught some fish from the boat too. The central location makes it easy to access much of what the UP offers, only requiring day trips. We hope to return next year!

Quiet retreat

Absolutely beautiful house and property! The retro style of the house brought back many fond memories for me. The house was in immaculate condition upon arrival and Amy touched base with me to make sure everything met my expectations. I would have to say that they exceeded my expectations! The house is in a secluded, quiet area and the views of Lake Edna are stunning. I took a lot of pictures of the fall colors surrounding Lake Edna; they look like postcards. 5 stars all around for this property!!!

Wonderful!!

Our family spent 11 nights here. My boys enjoyed taking the fishing boat out on the lake and using the sauna. The setting is lovely. Unfortunately, we chose the spend more time inside than we were initally planning due to mosquitoes, which were so bad everywhere this year. Fortunately, we were able to still enjoy the outside from the big picture windows. We all loved the retro decor and the living room/dining room is a great place to hang out after a long day of exploring and hiking. We took many day trips to area attractions. The overall layout of the home is very open with great counter space for loading, unloading, meal prep etc. The owner has included many little details throughout the home that added to our stay. Would love to stay here again. There is so much more to explore I bet its beautiful in the winter.

Beautiful & Unique Home on the Water

Great stay for 4 nights. Property as described. Very clean and welcoming. Interior is a mid-century modern theme ~ very unique. Secluded and quiet area with beautiful views of the water & nature. Host checked in via messaging to see if anything was needed during our stay. Also allowed for extra time to check-out when requested. Extra amenities were available if needed. H

Wonderful Getaway

My husband, father, brother-in-law, and I used this VRBO as our base on a motorcycle trip getaway and it worked out great. The location is beautiful. The house is very clean and worked well for us. It was the right distance from a number of cool things that we could go and see and do while we were there. We really enjoyed having a bonfire at the lakeside and using the sauna each night. I also brought my telescope and the stars were beautiful there at night. The host was responsive and checked in with us during our stay to make sure that everything was going okay. I would stay there again.

One Week Stay

We had so much fun! The property is so nice and the lake is beautiful and we caught so many fish! The house has everything you need all the necessities. The beds are so comfy and amazing to sleep in. And, the row boat is so fun to use for fishing and exploring the lake. The house is perfect for a family of four. Also, the beach in Marquette is absolutely beautiful definitely recommend. Spectacular!

Absolutely perfect! The house is darling! The beds divine! We toured the area and spent afternoons kayaking, swimming, catching fish, and relaxing. And our pups absolutely loved it. And the stars at night! Oh my! Simply a wonderful place.
