In full transparency, our original room was not available, so we were given two seperate rooms. The units were not the cleanest, there was debris on the floors and tthe table. One of the units (6th floor) did not have trash cans, and the other unit (7th floor) had bugs in the common area. Fortunately, Miami is designed to keep people out of the rooms, so we enjoyed the proximity to the beach.
Apartment was a great size, we actually got 2 full baths, ad was for 1.5baths. View was of the ocean and bay, nicely renovated, location great, friendly staff.
2 negatives: we had 3 people for the reservations, but the beach chairs only gives you 2, have to pay for anything extra. Also, carpeting in one of the bedrooms, was moldy and smelled, tried to get the housekeeping to carpet wash it, but just got use to it and gave up.
Overall, will come back again. 10 day stay in April, 2024
The building was built in 1963, some parts have been updated, some havenât. It is on the beach and along the board walk. Our unit was clean and functional but some aspects were a bit lacking. The tub didnât have a working drain stop. The kitchen had no cups, just a few mugs. Nothing was stocked, no salt or pepper, no coffee filters, no sponge, dish or dishwasher soap. If you plan on cooking in, prepare to buy or bring everything you might possibly need. There was one small frying pan and one larger sauce pan, and some mixing bowls.I really liked that they provided beach towels and chairs at the beach. The staff was nice. The gym is cramped and closed from 9am-6pm during the week because itâs next to their accounting office. Parking underneath was easy and 30/day. The laundry unit on the floor was good and payment done via a downloadable app. There wasnât a huge spring break presence, a mix of all ages. The music by the pool wasnât loud, which was nice. Overall, Iâd come back.
The entire stay the front desk staff was not welcoming and seemed to be inconvienced by assisting guests. Being required to wear a wrist band was not pleasant and childish. Rooms where ok but older with some new furniture.
Stayed here with our family of five. Three boys ages 9,13,14. They have tennis courts but you need to have your own racquets and balls. $30 a day to park. Elevator broke down and got people stuck. No rags. Called for towels and was told they canât get any cause housekeeping was gone for the day. Was told our kids had to wear a shirt in the lobby after coming in from the pool. Meanwhile people are walking around in g strings. Room was old and plain. Bathroom doors didnât close all the way. Screws were sticking out of the railings on the deck. No dish soap. No trash bags. No blankets for the bed. Cockroach in the stairwell sat there dead with employees walking by even a guy with a broom and dust pan.
Property looked a little dated, but we had a wonderful stay. Perfect location. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed, except ice. Would stay again.
