This cute little shanty has been through it and come out the other side. After being flooding in 2020 during hurricane Sally, this little gem made it through and has been put back together. She now has some quirks, but she still has lots of love to share. Local ducks call her back yard home, and you can watch them and the mullet jump out back. Come make some memories of your own and don't forget your fishing poles and kayaks
We had a 5 day stay and the home was very cozy. It was perfect for 2 children (3&12) and 3 adults. The little dock was perfect for them to fish. Just beware as any place we did spot a water snake. Over all we really enjoyed our stay at this property.
This should not be a vrbo listing!!!! It is a dump!! The current listing is so inaccurate! First the lot is a dump, yard and walk, front step unkept, door dirty. Wasp nests with active wasps on underside of door awning. Back deck furniture not complete, no cushion on love seat. No firepit as shown in photos. Inside the floors are ALL UNEVEN!! And put together with random pieces! Attempt at facelift unsuccessful. Difficult to walk throughout house honestly without feeling youâre drunk or on a cruise ship. Windows and ledges dingy. No hot water in back shower. Mattresses uncomfortable. Sofas very worn cushions donât fit well. Kitchen towels in drawer dirty. Old dried out coffee grounds left in pot. This was the worse place we have ever stayed in and so misrepresented on listing!!!!
They falsely listed this house.. The property was nothing like the photos on the site.. this home was flooded before and the owners just put things back together in the cheapest way possible.. the floors throughout out the house are not leveled so you are always walking up and down.. the moment we pulled up to the house there was a 4 sale sign in the yard the yard appeared to just been cut in the bare minimum because it was so much to cut the just did the minimum.. the house paint on the out side was peeling off the walls.. the front porch was full of webs and not clean off with a lot of wasp nests at the door. Upon entering the candles were burning to mask the smell that if you have allergies it would cause a problem.. the refrigerator had no working ice maker or water dispenser.. the master bedroom was illustrated to have double sinks and only 1. That was one reason we choose this house. The toilet was so small and sat very low to the floor. The shower was advertised to have a complete glass doors but only 1 side had the door and the other side had a shower curtain.. the bed and bath towels were so sour I had to go buy a comforter set with sheets because I only brought my own towels.. the sofa cushions were so used that when you sat down you could have been sitting on the floor.. the sofa smelled so bad that even spraying Lysol didnât help so I just sat on the bar stool. The high top table chairs cushions all were not attached to the frame so you had to be careful.
The stay was ok. Unfortunately communication was very poor with the manager when we let them know the showers did not have hot water several times over 3 days. Something must have been wrong with the water heater because the sinks still had hot water. They also ignored my question about having any cushions for the patio furniture and that there was a rusty metal chair on the dock with some broken metal pieces. My son accidentally sat on it and had holes in his pants. The landscaping is overgrown so you can't use the outdoor fire pit. Inside is nice enough but there was obvious damage to the floors and uneven spots needing repair. The couch had some structural issue so you sunk in super deep in one spot. The kitchen is nice with everything needed. I was most disappointed that the property manager didn't care to respond to our complaint about the lack of hot water after speaking with her directly. We will not stay here again.
Perfect place for our family! We loved everything about this home. The manager quickly answered any questions we had and was absolutely amazing. If I could give more stars, i would! I
We had a great time staying at this property! The canal access was a highlight and made for a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The location was fantasticâclose to everything we needed, which was super convenient. The house itself could use a little TLC, but for the price, we canât complain too much. The beds were very comfortable, and the bathrooms were spacious, which we really appreciated. The property managers were excellent with communication and made sure our stay went smoothly. Overall, a solid 4-star experience! Weâd consider staying again.
The photos for the property must be from as it was built. When we arrived the floors in home are all broken, cracked, or sunk in all over the house. The couch was broken on one side. The back deck had some rotted boards that were a safety trip hazard. The floors in the kitchen were sunk in enough to cause anything you cooked on the stove top to slip toward the back of the stove. Aside from those issues the home was fine.
The home had plenty of space, comfy beds, quiet and cosy with any and all needs covered within. The home definitely has character! We felt at home and enjoyed our stay immensely. I meditated on the dock every morning and was delighted by the nature activity out on and over the water. We sat around the fire pit at night and had a lot of family fun. The vibe in the house is welcoming and cheerful, and provided a perfect place for lots of laughter. The kitchen is spacious and had everything we needed to prepare meals, etc. We did NOT want to leave and will definitely rent again if available next time we are in Pensacola. Shopping and restaurants convenient as well. LOVE THIS PLACE!
The house was super clean and had all the right essentials. Host answered right away with any questions that I had. The house itself is pretty inside but definitely needs a lot of professional adjustments ( floors, gutters falling down, landscaping). The neighborhood is ok. For the price, itâs worth it.
was a quick family visit, property was nice, we had a great stay. we had to contact host once for a check in concern. It was handled immediately and could not have been a more pleasant experience.
We had a pleasant stay and enjoyed the house while we were there. The stairs are steep at the front of the house, back and in the laundry room. Nice lighting through the house. The dock out back is a bit steep to get up on and down from. The outdoor chairs were a bit dirty and had been left sideways on the ground. Never found the first aid kit listed. Great communication via email before we booked the house. Received a few emails after asking about the house and replied, but no response. If you call the management company during business hours you will get a very friendly person on the other end. There were some nice treats left for us and someone had left waters in the frig. Plenty of shampoo and toothpaste, but no hand soap. There is a hair dryer, but make sure you search all 3 bathrooms well. Getting into the driveway is fine, but there is a lot of foliage on one side, so you need to be careful getting out. When backing up, the foliage will obscure your view some. The foliage does give you a bit of security however from others seeing in. Enjoyed the Foosball Table and the televisions in each room. Bathroom showers are nicely updated, but will need to play with the controls to figure everything out. Hand towel racks would have been useful by the sinks. Not a lot of space to put things on in the bathrooms (clothes, toiletries). Floors are a bit crooked, so just be careful. Nice washer & dryer, beautiful dining table, and updated area by the kitchen with stools.
It was a nice stay the house was nice, but the beds were not nice for a big guy a little on the stiff side but Iâm a picky sleeper. I would definitely stay there again.
My husband and I plus our 3 kids (15,19&20) stayed at the house for 3 nights. It was a very comfortable stay for us. Lots of space. Beds were ok. Kitchen had everything we needed for our stay there. We didnât cook, but if we wanted to, they had everything you would need to do so. Amazing backyard with a dock overlooking the river. The kids found a paddle board outside and had fun with that one evening. They also fished from the dock (caught one catfish). We were in town for the McGuires 5K. So it was a good location for us, not too far from our destination. We plan on returning for next years 5K. I would definitely stay at this property again!!
