Amazing house!

This house is perfect. Beautiful decor, nicely appointed, clean. The host has thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. Great neighborhood, we enjoyed daily walks with our dog. Will definitely stay here again.

The property is beautiful and Cam is an amazing host! We needed to check in a little early to make it to a concert on time and Cam made it happen! Property was clean, beautifully decorated and a great location! If I could give more stars I would, so I’ll have to settle for 5. Thank you Cam!

Fantastic Fourth of July

We had a truly excellent stay here. Our host has thought of virtually everything that makes a house a home, and creates an instant feel of welcome and comfort. I slept like a baby in the oh-so-comfy master bed... better than at home! We are foodies, often wary about rental home kitchens, but this one had everything we needed and then some. Wished we'd brought our boxer Mabel, who would have loved the huge backyard and Raleigh in general. I'll be back anytime Cam will have us!!!

Fabulous Property

This fabulous house is in a beautiful, centrally located historic neighborhood. The host has not missed a thing. It is one of the best appointed houses we have rented with every amenity one could want. The check-in and check-out were super simple and all the little instruction cards around the house make settling in seamless.We highly recommend this place for your next stay in Raleigh.

Gorgeous home, perfect location

This was our second time staying at Cams home, and it won't be our last. Walkable to campus, downtown, Cameron village, and more! I love the house, but the screened in porch is my favorite place to sit and relax.

Incredible home!

This home is beautifully decorated and so charming. In the most beautiful neighborhood near downtown Raleigh, it was everything we hoped for! The owner was super communicative and flexible with our needs. We will be staying here again when we come back to Raleigh. Don’t pass up this gem of a home!

Wonderful experience

My husband and I and stayed here with our 2 pups and loved the house. The pups loved the yard and dog run. The house was so clean and cozy and Cam communicated so well. Wonderful experience.

Baseball championship and exploration

Our four days in North Carolina to see the first few games of the NCAA DII College World Series in Cary, NC, were very fun and relaxing because of this amazing property! Its location allowed us to explore the area campuses and restaurants in the research triangle. We would love to stay at the Forest Park House again in the future! Our host was the best!

Wonderful!

What a wonderful stay! The house was beautifully decorated and we loved every minute of our stay. Cam was a wonderful host! There were snacks! For us, the kiddos and even our pup. He’s really thought of everything. Right down to a steamer for those wrinkled clothes you may bring. Hands down one of our best VRBO experiences!

Wonderful home

What a fabulous property! We could not have been more pleased with our stay. The house was spotless and had everything we needed for our stay. The location was walkable to so many bars/restaurants, the outside space was relaxing and welcoming, and Cam could not have been a better host. His response time to inquiries was immediate, and all the little “extras” in the house were greatly appreciated.

Historic Gem

Forest Park House was nothing short of spectacular for our two separate visits to Raleigh this summer. We loved it so much the first time - we knew exactly where we wanted to stay for our mid-summer return. The house location and amenities are premier! There is absolutely nothing that host Cam has not thought of for his guests. He is extremely quick to respond to any inquiries. We truly feel fortunate to have spent time in this wonderful historic home. It’s a true gem!

Easy breezy

Easy parking, easy to access to supplies and whatever you could think of.. linens, herb garden, kitchen gadgets. Comfy beds! Easy to walk to restaurants. Gorgeous neighborhood. It was 100 degrees outside, but the house was cool and had a controller upstairs and down. Beautifully decorated. Very luxurious. We were very pleased and hope to return.

Location. Location. Location. And Decor.

What a great experience. Easy access. Great location. A short walk to the Village District. And an even shorter drive to great downtown spots. Cam was an amazing host and made sure we had everything we needed. Check in and check out were a hands-off breeze. The house is immaculate and so well appointed. Modern victorian I'll call it. Lavish yet comfortable. We would absolutely stay again.

Our stay exceeded our expectations.

Everything during our stay was amazing. Very beautiful home. Cam and his home is exactly what everyone expects and wants from their host via VRBO. From extra lienens, towels to every size bowl for our fur baby. He has thought of it all. His place and communication exceeded our expectations. We loved every moment in the home. Our fur baby loved and enjoyed being there as well. We highly recommended this place to anyone. We will be back to stay again.

Best VRBO Ever!

We had the most amazing weekend at Forest Park house. Everything was perfect. The house is impeccably maintained and cleaned! The owner was so nice to supply us with fantastic coffee and snacks. It is centrally located for anything you want to do in downtown Raleigh. We were in town for a family wedding and were within a mile of everything to do in Raleigh and close to the country club where the reception was being held. We can’t thank Cam enough for being an unbelievable host. I have stayed in many VRBO’s and this is by far the best one ever!!!

My family of four + our yellow lab were displaced from our house for a couple weeks but I am so thankful for the opportunity to call the house “home” for that time. I have been raving about how wonderful our stay was at the Forest Park House to anyone who will listen. We are local to Raleigh and familiar with the neighborhood so had reasonably high expectations (off street parking, etc.). It was so much more than we expected. Even before we arrived, the host was attentive and proactive with suggestions that could make our stay as comfortable as possible, and that continued throughout our stay. The house is so well appointed that it is like being a guest at a luxury hotel with the comforts of a private home. It is truly difficult to write a review that is good enough to describe our experience.

Everything and then some

Cam’s property was absolutely perfect. Everything as described and more. The light switches are labeled throughout the house which is such a great touch! Every question we had was answered with informative notes throughout the house. It was a beautiful home designed with comfort. Our furry friends absolutely loved it and the fenced in dog run and yard. Cam was excellent on communication and never left us waiting! We will definitely be staying here the next time we come to Raleigh! GO PACK!!

5 star property and host!

The house was beautiful! Just like the pictures. Cam was wonderful to work with! We arrived late and the lights in the house were on for us and Cam had handwritten us a note and left croissants and jam for breakfast! They were delicious. The area is so pretty and the house had so many little areas to relax and enjoy. I especially loved the screened in porch. It was so cute. Those with EVs will appreciate that there is an outlet in the carport. We charged up our car every night and it was ready for the next day. It was very convenient and there was no extra fee for using it! Very much appreciated! Can’t say enough about the place. Would definitely stay here again. Well done!

The most immaculate home we’ve stayed in

This beautifully redone historic home was such a pleasure to stay in. From the decor, bedding and well supplied home there is everything you’d need in a home away from home for a family. My five year old was very comfortable here as well as our adult son. Within distance of many restaurants and a beautiful park. The home was tastefully decorated for Christmas which I felt was so special to have in a home. Cam was so accommodating and hospitable throughout the whole process which I am so thankful for. This is beyond a 5 star and we look forward to planning our next trip with him!

I love homes, and I love travel — Vrbo lets me combine both when I’m venturing and hosting. 49 US states and 14 other countries so far! My favorite TV show of all time is “This Old House,” so you’ll find me drawn to the quirky homes over the common. And, as a host, you get a two-fer as my Mississippi-Texas Mom perches on my shoulder to guide me in offering Southern hospitality.

I specifically was looking to buy a home that met the criteria of a great short-term rental house. With just one walkthrough of the property, I knew this was it. The house is built to last for ages, yet it has the charm and nuances that remind us it's already been here for a century. But besides the physical house, North Carolina's great, seasonal weather is ready for your enjoyment with multiple outdoor spaces -- both screened and open-air. And, then, the fact that there's a dog trot to make life easier for our furriest friends? This house was meant for you, and so it was meant for me to buy.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Downtown in a lovely residential neighborhood. Walkable to shopping, dining, and other downtown events, conventions, etc. And the house was made for dogs with its fenced yard and dedicated dog-run.

House has stand-by generator power, which makes it great during all of Raleigh’s various weather patterns — hurricanes, snow, ice, etc. Therefore, it serves as a reliable option for out-of-town visitors plus a refuge for locals that need to vacate their own homes. However, generation of our own power is expensive. If grid outages are >2 hours, there may be a $4/hour surcharge for each hour >2.
