Butterfly Park Retreat #2 - Centrally located to Decorah's Top Attractions!

Welcome to the quaint community of Decorah. This getaway is located steps from the local attractions including the Butterfly Park, Pulpit Rock Brewery, Landing Market, Whippy Dip, and Vesterheim Museum to name a few. The property is located near the Upper Iowa River ideal for fly fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and tubing. The Trout Run Trail is a picturesque path passing along dikes and abandoned rail beds ideal for biking, walking, and running.

Description of space:
The master bedroom includes a king bed that can be reconfigured into two XL twins beds upon request. The second bedroom includes a queen bed. The living room includes a queen pull out sofa. Open kitchen concept is fully stocked with dishes, cookware, utensils, oils, Keurig coffee and tea. Washer and dryer located outside the unit and available for use during your stay. Additional amenities include Wi-Fi, hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, iron, and ironing board. A Pack'n Play available upon request.

Weekend getaway

We were in town for a family wedding and stayed 2 nights at this property. It was so clean and decorated so beautifully. Pam is a great host and I would highly recommend booking with her. Great, comfy stay!

Great family space

Great apartment for our immediate family while visiting family for the holidays. Location was convenient, the apartment is cozy great with enough space for all 4 of us and I love the flexibility of the bed set up in the second bedroom. Pam does a great job anticipating amenity needs and making the space welcoming.

Another wonderful stay at Butterfly Retreat!

This is really a wonderful place to stay in Decorah. Everything is nice and new, yet it feels cozy and comfortable. The location is great for accessing the bike trail. Beds very comfortable.

Beautiful Decorah!

This is an excellent location and parking is right alongside of the building. We were close to downtown activities and just as close to all the beautiful outdoor activities that Decorah provides. Our owner/manager was very responsive. This is a great place to stay.

The pictures are accurate. All of the emenities of home are here. Just bring clothes and food! There is even welcome mats in front of each door! Bottled water in fridge, snacks on counter and beer glasses on the freezer. Small basket of toiletries in case you forgot something!

Cute and cozy…great location!

Pam was super great to work with…helping me out with a few questions I had and offering additional information on local events. The information was clear and comprehensive and super timely. The unit itself was super cute and cozy! Not only was it stocked with everything I think we could need or want, but there were so many other nice extra touches too! I highly recommend adding this location to your list of options for lodging in Decorah!

Stayed for a wedding. Nice central location. Bedrooms were warm since it was just a window unit air conditioner. But made use of the fans that were there.

Decorah apartment

This is a very nice apartment! It is up-to-date and spotless. It has everything you might need and a tray of snacks in the kitchen was a nice touch. It also has a good view of the fall leaf colors along the river. It is in a quiet neighborhood that is easy to locate. The entire building seems to be well maintained. The hallway to the apartment, which includes the washer/dryer, is spotless and has good lighting. The entrances were decorated and welcoming. We recommend taking a walk through the Community Prairie just down the street. Enjoyed our time and would stay again.

The property was great! Very nice furnishings and more amenities than we are used to seeing in similar properties. Many varieties of coffee and snacks and bathroom items that you may have forgot to bring along. A great base for a great week exploring NE Iowa. Highly recommended!

Great Place to Stay!

This apartment had everything we needed for our family of four! It was easy to find, great parking options, and was a quiet building (minus the upstairs neighbors at times). We felt at home and were impressed with all of the furnishings! It was a great weekend for us!

My husband and I were born and raised in northeast Iowa and have raised our family in Decorah. Decorah has a strong Norwegian heritage with Nordic Fest being an annual event. Our youngest son is a Nordic Dancer. Every 5 years tryouts are held to form the junior group. The kids who are selected are in the program for 10 years. Nordic Dancers perform at various event throughout the summer with the final 5 performances during Nordic Fest. The family photo was taken after his last performance in which he was both exhausted and relieved that he was finished for the year. Our son has close family support with everyone making the trek back home to enjoy the festivities and support their younger brother.

We are the owners of 12 buildings- 92 rental units in Decorah. We believe our experience with rental properties and a cleaning crew make vacation rentals a natural fit. We have additional adjacent units available allowing larger groups to book in close proximity to one another.

We have turned 1of the 12 buildings primarily into vacation rentals. The units are recently remodeled and are centrally located to the Butterfly Park/Prairie Garden, bike trails, Luther College, Downtown, Parks, and local breweries.
