Overall, we had a great time. Somethings need to be updated like the outdoor furniture on the second balcony but other than that, it was beautiful thank you so much.
Our trip with our family was wonderful. We really enjoyed the cabin feel that the property provided. It is in a very pretty cove of the lake with a beautiful view off the back of the house. Also, the owner was extremely prompt when there was an issue upon our arrival. Extremely impressed with their immediate help. It is very near the road, which results in a good bit of road noise, but we had such a great time, we hardly noticed. The only thing we thought would make this perfect, was a little attention to cob web removal on the porches, a bit more upkeep on the boat dock, and tidiness around the fire pit area. Overall, it was great and we really enjoyed our experience. We would definitely stay again!
Spent a week at the cabin with family and friends. Six of us total. Cabin was nice and spacious but needs a lot of attention ton from the property owner. A lot of dust and
The house was beautiful and location was perfect. It was a wonderful stay. The property needs a little cleaning up but no big deal. The only issue I had was I could not get the host to respond to my messages.
We enjoyed our stay at the property. The Youngblood's went above and beyond to make our stay a good one. We noticed some light down by the fire pit not working. We talked with Mr. Ronnie and he had them going by the end of the day. The house is spacious with 2 separate kitchens and also 2 laundry rooms. There is plenty of seating area inside and outside on the porches. We will definitely stay again at Ms. Natalie!!
This house is beautiful but needs lots of needs. Only half of the lights worked and there are no locks on any of the bathroom doors along with other things noticed. Please be advised if you like to swim from dock there is extreme growth in lake. It is like a very tall and over abundance of some kind that will wrap around your legs. The house is very roomy though and downstairs is great because they can have their own kitchen.
When we arrived house was dirty outside. My son and I had to clean everything. Ice maker broken. No AC but they fixed the next day. Shower upstairs clogged. Broken furniture laying around outside. Canoes filled with water to the top. Grill was disgusting. I had to clean it before we could use. We have rented from the owner several years and this was just an awful family Labor Day experience.
Beautiful Cabin ..lake swimming area needs cleaning...felt place wasn't ready for check in..
The cabin is great so pretty..However the swimming area and dock in the lake were not maintained as far as being a good swim area for kids or adults a lot of moss and growth from the lake made it difficult to truly enjoy the water. The kids didn't like swimming in the lake with all of the growth and moss ended up taking kids to two other swimming areas to swim. When we arrived we were pleased with the look of the cabin and the location was fine with us however the beds were not made the sheets were not dry and downstairs beds i had to wash and go to store for detergents and no trash bags in ant of the trash cans. i spent the rear of mt check in day washing sheets and making beds and putting trash bags and trash cans throughour the home. Coffee maker was broken from previous renters who had left a note that hadn't been dealt with. I tried emailing the agent and at first quick to reply but when i emailed about the bedding, coffee, and trash bags i got no reply and still have no reply. I would like to have had a reply and some of my money back.
Inside was awesome. Itâs a giant cabin, very clean , spacious, and nice.
Outside it needs a little work. The pictures are old. The fireplace needs some roundup along with the stone walkway (no one cleaned out the ashes). The grass and landscaping needs some help as well. The dock was functional but the decking was in poor shape. The gutters have trees growing out of them, lots of ants (we set terro bait traps), porches need a little work, seat cushions had mildew and there was a broken chair at the fire pit. Itâs obvious the inside is maintained and the outside isnât (they didnât even blow it off as there was corn everywhere Iâm guessing the previous guest was feeding the ducks). The location is basically a drag strip. The vehicle traffic is very loud when sitting outside. It will eventually calm down but lots of loud trucks, etc. Its loud enough to interrupt your conversation.
It worked for us but we wonât be back, not for what it costs. Take care of the gutters before it ruins something and please spray for ants. Not fun when thereâs ants crawling everywhere biting your feet.
Our stay started by being directed into the wrong cabin (Big Nate). We only realized this after the weekend renters for Big Nate arrived after we'd totally unpacked. We realized then that this wasn't Ms. Natalie but was Big Nate although there was no sign at either cabin. Thankfully, the renters of Big Nate were patient as we repacked and moved next door. Ms. Natalie was a beautiful cabin as was Big Nate. We decided after being advised by the owner we "could just pack up and go home" that we'd make the best of our weekend. We were expecting family to join us and also had the Little White House rented. We found the internet did not work and the cable tv was a total of maybe 10 channels. The smaller water trampoline outside of Ms. Natalie was deflated but sharing the bigger trampoline outside of Big Nate worked fine since we had made such good friends with them. The dishes were found to be dirty. The coffee maker downstairs appeared not to be cleaned for months. The highway right outside our door was noisy all during the night! Consider this when you're looking for properties in this area and keep looking!
We were 2 families traveling together with a total of 4 boys (ages 7, 7, 4, 4). It was a perfect cabin for 2 families. There was enough seperation between the floors that you could get away from the chaos of 4 boys... whether it was out on the porches, the dock, or running down the hill. There are 2 washers & 2 dryers to accomodate 2 families. No one had to wait for a washer.
The only issue was the noise we could hear from the highway. It is right off the highway, literally. We tried pretending that it didn't exist, but it was hard when the house was quiet and everyone was sleeping, except truck drivers speeding &/or stopping on the highway. Sidenote- the water trampoline needs a few repairs, but not enough to diminish the fun.
The lake was gorgeous and the mountain view from the kitchen was spectacular. We spent time sightseeing Brasstown Bald, Tubing in Helen, antiquing in Blue Ridge, etc... But we also were able to spend a great amount of time in the cabin, swimming the lake, canoeing on the lake or playing on the water trampoline!
If I could add something for this cabin, it would be cable for all the tvs and dvd players for ALL the tvs. Currently - only the 2 rooms downstairs have dvd players and there was only cable on the living room tvs. The tvs on the main floor and loft have just 4 channels. There is wi-fi available only out on the porch, luckily we brought our own hotspot.
Grocery store was about 3 miles away... not bad at all!
We would return to this cabin.
We stay here for family gathering each Fourth of July. The house, lake and area never disappoints. The house needed a little TLC, but still a great time.
Since we rented this for family so they could be close to our home I can only report second hand, but all comments were favorable. âWhat a lovely place,â âWow, this is great,â etc. Those who slept in the main floor bedroom did wish for a blackout curtain because of the car lights and maybe to buffer some of the traffic noise.
