Take a tour of the wild horses or take a hang-gliding lesson. Visit the country's largest dune, go para-sailing, and just a few miles in nearby Powells Point there is an amazing water park for those adventure lovers. Wonderful stay!

We had a lovely stay in this house. It was very spacious and very clean! The kitchen was well equipped with what we needed. The neighborhood was nice and definitely within walking distance to the beach. We brought our dog, so the fenced in backyard was a plus!

Spacious house, conveniently located to both the bay and the ocean

The house is very spacious and lovely. The beds are very comfortable. Everything you need is conveniently located within a few blocks to less than a mile: the sound, walking trails, the beach, restaurants, shops, activities… it is on the Sound side of the main highway, but this house is located near one of the crosswalks so it’s very easy to get to the beach within a five minute walk.

Worst beach stay ever

Check your records and you’ll see we began calling with issues from the moment we got there. So dirty Marijuana smells and ashes. And service on those issues was awful actually non existent. Still no resolution. We left on day 2 of a week stay will never use a Vacasa property and possible never use VRBO again. Particularly since VRBO simply passes the issue back to this sham ‘property management co.’

We loved the refrigerator on the first level. So that when you come into the house with all kinds of cold items they can go right into the refrigerator and freezer. We loved that you allowed pets. However, there are so many steps in this house to get to the kitchen. Also, the kitchen is not well equipped. A large pasta pot would be helpful and a Keurig coffee maker. The sheets on the king size bed had dried blood spots on them, the cleaning service should have noticed this before putting them on the bed.

Great property and location!

We stayed in May 2024 and had a fantastic time. The house was perfect, it had everything we needed and was very clean. The check in process was very easy and communication was very good before we arrived. On the day we arrived a maintenance guy showed up just after check in, he was very friendly and arranged to have the grass cut the next day as it was a little long. The location is about 15 minutes walk from the beach, we walked the first day but with 2 kids we found it easier to drive and there was plenty of free parking available all along the beach. We stayed the week before memorial day so it may have been a quieter week. There is also a very nice walking path about 2 minutes from the property on the sound side that was great for walking the dog. There's also an arcade / mini golf / go-karts at the end of the street which the kids loved! The house has lots of beach equipment such as umbrellas, chairs etc so there's no need to bring any of this with you. There is also a baby gate which we needed as the living room and kitchen is upstairs. Overall we couldn't have asked for any more and we will certainly look to stay here again when we visit the Outer Banks.

Some disappointments

Overall we enoyed our stay, but there were several disappointments. The large fenced yard is wonderful, as well as the spaciousness of the home. However, if stairs aren't your thing, this home is not for you, as it is 3 stories. There were spider webs in some areas, including on the light fixture above the dining room table. There were lots of dusty areas. The dishwasher had not been emptied. There was soda splatter on the lever of the ice dispenser in the refrigerator door, as well as crumbs inside the fridge. No laundry products or trash bags were provided. The ping pong table is an amenity of the home, but the balls were crushed and unusable. The location of the property is fantastic, in a nice, quiet neighborhood and very close to the sound. The sofas were smelly and definitely not cleaned or sanitized in quite some time. The decor could definitely use somw updating. Basic cleaning was done prior to our arrival, but VERY basic. Nothing beyond that has been done in a good while. is not for you, as it js

Perfect pet friendly beach house

Very clean and close to many places. Not far from the beach. Great neighborhood to walk the dogs in. Walked to Henry’s for breakfast and played mini golf across the street from Henry’s. Lots of steps to the house so arrival and departure was work but the status of the house made up for it. Back yard was fenced in and a huge plus for having dogs.

Perfect for families with dogs!

The backyard is perfect for anyone wanting to bring their dogs and the house is super spacious. The location is great and only about a mile from public beach access with parking. There’s also a nice path along the sound side, perfect for walking your dogs! The only thing that could use a little improvement is the outside furniture and screened in porch furniture. They are severely rusted and pretty much unusable.
