We love the older homes in the Monroe Garden District and the local vibe of the community. It has been updated the to include modern amenities. It has the southern style pass-through rooms and a big fenced in backyard with a back deck. Bookings are not accepted after 7PM and check in is between 3PM and 10PM. Pets are NOT allowed.
Perfect for me ur little overnight stay during our drive from Texas to Georgia on way to Florida eventually. If we come this way again, would definately stay again. Host was very nice and accommodating!!!
We only had an overnight stay, but the property was easy to find and in a nice neighborhood. The property has been well maintained, it was clean, and decorated nicely. I would stay there again.
My husband, step-daughter, my son, and my mother and father in law stayed the night for my stepdaughterâs graduation from ULM. The house was plenty big enough and the beds were comfy. The house is a lot bigger than it looks. Was great for the night and only 10 mins from the school.
This place was okay for our short stay in Monroe. Loved having a washer and dryer available for us since we were drenched from the rain. Definitely heard things in the attic moving around and the attic door above the bed was cracked open so that had me sleeping on a prayer. Overall Iâd probably picked this house again if I visit Monroe again
My sister, my partner and I, all in our 60's, stayed for two nights of rest and to attend my niece's graduation from LA Tech. We are sort of buffs on architectural details in older homes and just really liked the place. Thanks so much.
We were in town for our daughterâs volleyball tournament and brought the grandparents along. The house was very accommodating for our group of six. Itâs an older home, but still nice and comfortable. The master bedroom was a bit drafty due to cold air coming in from the window unit, which made it hard to keep warm. The front bedroom bed could use a little TLC. For accessibility, adding a handrail at the entrance and an assist rail in the bathroom would be helpful for elderly guests.Communication with Dusty was excellentâvery responsive and helpful. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again!
Location and size were accurate-however the property, including linens, werenât well cleaned after the last guest-messaged the owner as I was leaving via app and never received a reply
The house is located in a very âdowntownâ neighborhood. One of the toilets leaked and didnât work properly, we couldnât get the Netflix to work, but our biggest issue was the ac cooled the front room wonderfully, but the bedrooms were hot. The kitchen was large, but we werenât there long enough to really use it. The host responded quickly, but our stay was so short nothing could be done about our issues.
Dustin is extremely quick to respond to any questions or concerns. It is an older house, but Iâm familiar with Monroe and know the area well so it wasnât a surprise to me. Dustin recently acquired the house and has some updates in progress so it will only get better. Take a bag of ice and your desired drinks as the fridge does not have an ice maker or water dispenser.
This house is very large with more sleeping options than mentioned in the description. The yard could use some cleanup but we weren't going to spend enough time there for that to matter. It smelled like it had been closed up for a while but it wasn't bad. The kitchen could use some updates but that adds to the charm - somewhat. My grandparents home was this same layout so it was like stepping back into the 60's.
