Older cottage that has been restored very nicely. Bedrooms were large and comfortable. The outside was very spacious and soooo quite. You can walk to the beach and yet was very close to Charlevoix. Gerry was a great host and saw to our every need. Thanks
This lovely cottage in the town of Norwood is just a few shorts block with a quiet an idyllic beach. We had the best of life in a very quiet and idyllic town with the convenience of downtown Charlevoix just a short drive away. The hosts provided all the amenities we needed.
My family had a wonderful stay in the Charlevoix area -- hosts were responsive and helpful and the home was comfortable and well-apportioned. This was our second stay at the cottage and we would recommend it to anyone heading to the area.
The cottage was super adorable and we loved the VERY short distance to the beach. My family and I had a wonderful time and the property manager was super accommodating. We would definitely stay there again!
Second time to the cottage and want to come back next summer. Great Lake MI beaches nearby. Cottage is in a beautiful setting and is equipped with everything you need.đđ
Dee was a great host and very accommodating. The cottage is very clean, spacious and charming. Very close to the beach and dog friendly! Would highly recommend for relaxing weekend getaway!
We had a fabulous time at this well appointed, quiet, comfortable cottage. The location was ideal and we loved the proximity to Lake Michigan. Dee was a excellent host and welcomed us with a delicious sampling of local fare and a lovely bottle of wine. Highly recommended!
Overall our stay met our expectations. We could do all the things we came to this area to do. The community âdog friendlyâ beach around the corner was an extra bonus. Plenty of linens and towels plus a supply of toiletries were available. Our only concern was the refrigerator never got down to the proper temperature, the freezer was fine though.
Really enjoyed 2 nights at cozy cottage in Norwood. Wish we could have stayed longer. Lisa was easy to communicate with and answered questions I had. She left us goodies when we arrived! The cottage was very clean we would stay there again!
The Cottage was very charming, tastefully decorated, and we loved it! The hosts provided everything we needed and more. The beds were very comfortable. There were nice views from all the windows, of the garden, flowers, trees, and greenery. The Lake Michigan beach
was nearby and wonderful. We will definitely be back next summer!
Very well organized with a binder listing all needed information. Clean, beautiful, and a gracious host.
Thank you for making our time in Charlevoix delightful!
Property was clean, but a bit tired. A short drive to a couple dog friendly beaches. Charlevoix and Elk Rapids are an easy commute. Good spot to use as a home base, but expect to drive.
Wonderful unique and custom cottage that our fam of four loved. This area has so much to offer yet we were still drawn back to the comfort of the cottage. Photos donât do it justice, plenty of space, close to Antrim Creek Natural Area, breweries, Charlevoix, preserves, beaches, and a five minute walk to Lake MI. Host was wonderful, loved it all.
My husband and I were on the first leg of a six week trip. We absolutely loved the cottage. Lisa was very helpful and responsive. All the little treats were a great touch. Charlevoix is a quaint little town. We had so much fun exploring the area Tom and Deb
This is not just a comfortable house located in a quiet neighorhood, but it is also a beautiful house. Everything is first rate. It is the sort of house that feels like it is someone's home, with everything just as you would want it. The beds are comfortable, the linens plush. The house is small, but fine for us. Kitchen is a little small, but perfectly adequate. Eveeything is as described, in fact even exceeding my expectations. Really, this is a lovely piece of property.
perfect for a couple.
This was our home base during a nearby family reunion, and the perfect place to rest and recharge. Everything was so comfortable and well-appointed. Quiet, deeply relaxing, and surrounds that were curated and thoughtful. We felt genuinely lucky to have found it- definitely one of those places you don't come across often. Thank you!
Overall a very positive experience. There were a few maintenance items that I would have liked to have addressed, but nothing was a show stopper. Kids had a good time, and enjoyed playing with some of the toys that were included. Beds were very comfortable and bedrooms were spacious.
Cottage was super cozy. Very nice on the inside and location was private and quiet. Nice and relaxing and felt like home rather than a hotel. Enjoyed walking to the beach and house was located reasonably close to Charlevoix and Petoskey. My family had a great stay and enjoyed our time there. Did find communications with owner a little unclear. The number listed in the info binder was not up-to-date. And this is probably a personal preference but I did find the smell of the well water off-putting.
This property was a good jumping off point for our visits to Charlevoix, Torch Lake & Petosky. It shares the same driveway as the owners that live right next door. The beach was a reasonable walk from the house, very rocky but nice. Not a dealbreaker, but the screen door leading to the backyard was super difficult to work with. The sleeping arrangements work well for us and our 3 children.
We had an amazing time at the cottage. It was the perfect location for our little family. Our dog had plenty of room to roam in the beautiful backyard. We loved the cute little kids bed, and it was the perfect place for our 11 month old to sleep since we didnât have a crib. It was close to a quiet little beach area, a 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive. We loved the feeling of being away from the city but still close enough to run into town for brunch or dinner. We made the 1.5 hour drive to see Mackinac Island and Sleeping Bear Dunes during our stay. Lisa and her dad, Jerry were the nicest hosts and we appreciated their hospitality. We canât wait to visit the cottage again. âșïž
I looove this cottage and the host is devine. Dee treated us like family and made us feel very comfortable. The place has everything you need. Dishes, pots, pans, cleaning supplies, beach towels and beach chairs. The only thing it does not have is a stove. Unsure how I missed that but I am glad I did because it is perfect even without a stove. They have a hot plate that you can use and we used the grill every day. Dee loaned us bread and aluminum foil, which was very very sweet of her. The beach is literally 800 feet away. The neighbor is clean and very quiet. Lovely home and I will rent it again if I am in that area.
We welcome you to "Be Our Guest" at this cottage in Historical Norwood Village which is on the shores of beautiful Lake Michigan. (7 minute drive from Charlevoix). Please feel free to contact us with any questions.
