Private, stand-alone cabin nestled in the woods. Perfect for a family with children or four adults. Quiet, paved country road. Five minutes to Lake Michigan, Lake Charlevoix, downtown Charlevoix or Castle Farms. Bring your fishing poles, we are across the street from a small fishing lake.
Take your family to the Mt. McSauba recreational area for a day hike through the dunes to Lake Michigan or relax on one of our beautiful beaches. 4 - season area, we are located close to natural areas with trails for hiking or winter snowshoeing or cross-country skiing. Stroll through downtown Charlevoix while enjoying a local treat from an ice cream shop. There are many casual or fine dining restaurants within the downtown area. Check out the Charlevoix schedule for summer festivals and free concerts! Enjoy the views of the harbor from a bench in the park.
The cabin is on a popular biking route. Bring your bikes! Hiking trails are close by as well as many nature preserves. A walk out the back door you will find a Maple Woods with an outdoor fire pit and grill. An indoor gas fireplace adds warmth to living space. Petoskey, Boyne City and Harbor Springs are 30 minutes away. Traverse City, Sleeping Bear dunes National Park and Mackinaw are close enough for a day trip. Wildlife is abundant on the property. We do not allow pets or smoking on the property. Please check reviews from previous guests for more information. We pride ourselves on the great reviews our guests have given us.

Cozy, Cute and Super Clean!

We were attending a wedding at the Castle and this adorable, cozy cabin was super close. What we didn't expect was how absolutely immaculate, comfortable, well stocked and beautifully decorated this place is! It may be the cleanest, newest feeling VRBO we have ever stayed in! Peaceful Place

Post wedding day get away and it was great! Away from the busyness of town but still very close. The house felt warm and welcoming and being able to have a fire was the cherry on top. Would stay there again!

Perfect for us!

The Shed was a great place for our family to stay. It was clean and very well-stocked. The location was very quaint and private. We loved to hang out around the house after an outing to the beach to downtown. Our family especially loved the porch- a good place to hang out to read and unwind. We had good interactions with the owners and felt very taken care of. We definitely recommend The Shed!

Wonderful Week

The property is amazing. It was perfectly located. 5 minutes to Downtown Charlevoix. 5 minutes to Lake Charlevoix. We spent a lot of time by the fire pit. Bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect sized. Beds were comfortable.

Easily 5 stars

We loved our stay. The house is very clean. The bed was comfortable and the shower is extra large with plenty of hot water. The front yard is large and very pretty with numerous beautiful flowers. We spent a lot of time in Boyne, and it was easy to drive to via road and even quicker by ferry. The host provided a much appreciated welcome gift as well. Thank you for providing us a nice place to get away to.

Awesome house!

We stayed in The Shed for 2 nights and it was fantastic! My fiancé and I got married in Charlevoix and it was a perfect 2 night getaway for us for the remainder of our weekend. The house was clean, appliances were brand new, and locationally you are right down the road from Castle Farms, plus an easy drive into downtown Charlevoix. Lilly (the host) was extremely responsive and wonderful to work with. If the opportunity presents itself, we would 100% stay here again!

Delightful and Relaxing

The owner was friendly, quick to respond, and very sweet to talk to. My entire family enjoyed their stay, and the kids loved the swings! My mom who is 80 , loved the peace and quiet, yet it wasn’t too far from town. It was an excellent place to stay and very clean!

Very clean and great hosts

This place is beautiful, and the listing is accurate. It was very clean. Check-in was simple and instructions for the stay were inside. Very short drive to Castle Farms. Not a long drive to get into Charlevoix.

This property exceeds expectations in all categories. Plenty of space for activities, ample parking, and very good location. Very close to downtown Charlevoix and the public boat ramp. 10/10 host.

Owners were easily accessible. The cottage was impeccably clean! The photos of this property are deceiving bc there is a lot of room here. We were pleasantly surprised. The location is perfect too! We will do this cottage again!

Charlevoix gem

Thank you for a great stay. The “Shed” is cozy. Perfect size for 4 adults. If you don’t need a lot of space this is perfect. We could have used internet, but got by on cellular data. We were so close to the two wedding venue - Charlevoix yacht club & Castle Farms. Wish we had time to enjoy a bonfire or a nice hike. The Shed was very clean and had all the supplies we needed. Would 100% recommend.

Beautiful Home

My family's stay was amazing. We attended our nieces wedding at the Castle, and it ended up being the perfect location. It was peaceful and close to everything we needed. The home was so clean and new. It still smells like cedar as you walk through the door. I highly recommend this VRBO to everyone heading to Charlevoix. We will definitely stay here again.

Our Cabin - “The Shed" sits on property that has been in our family for over 100 years - we are third generation owners. The cabin was finished in 2022 and opened for guests in 2023. Our goal is to maintain the woods and wildlife habitat surrounding "The Shed", providing a peaceful setting for our family and our guests.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Not a condo! You don’t have to share this space with anyone….Private owner property. Quiet area where in the morning you hear the birds singing as the sun rises. The evenings end with a bonfire in the backyard, a smore or glass of wine if you prefer. The beach (s) are five minutes away. If you are looking for a meal downtown, also five minutes. We are located close enough to the UP for a day trip to see the Magnificent Mighty Mac Bridge or spend time at Mackinaw Island.
