If you're looking for a fun beach getaway look no further! Located in the Pacific Beach area of San Diego, this modern studio apartment is the perfect vacation spot. Play hard all day at the beach and then come home to relax and chill out. Cruise the boardwalk on the supplied beach bikes. Just 3 miles from Sea World & 6 miles from the airport!

Janet & Scott are your hosts. We are a husband and wife team and we live nearby. We own and operate Mission Beach Villas, a highly rated vacation rental management business in San Diego.

We are available 7 am to 10 pm to answer questions during your stay.

We have a storefront rental office, Mission Beach Villas, about 1 mile away from this property, so if you need anything feel free to stop by! If you have an early flight, you may stow your luggage at our office so you can go to lunch or hang out on the beach until check-in time. And if you have an afternoon flight on checkout day you may also stow luggage. Just coordinate these details with us and we are happy to accommodate. Please note, we charge a small nominal fee for luggage storage.

Before your stay, we are happy to suggest our favorite restaurants, and tourist attractions and will help you get acquainted with the area.

Pacific Beach is THE place to be at in San Diego. There is a lively beach scene as well as plenty of fun bars and restaurants along Garnet Avenue and Mission Blvd. But this cute beach cottage is a total gem because it is set back away from the crowds on a residential street. The neighborhood is safe and secure.

We offer keyless digital entry. There are no keys to lose, just a simple 4 digit passcode to remember.



The vacation rental is a second floor studio apartment. It opens up to a lovely private outdoor terrace where you can sit and enjoy your coffee in the morning. It is light and airy, with several built in skylights in the ceiling to provide wonderful bright daylight in.

The studio will sleep 2 people in the queen bed plus we can supply an airbed to sleep a child on the floor or a pack & play to sleep an infant or toddler. (Just let us know if the airbed or pack & play will be needed.)

There is a small functional kitchenette with the basics - a small fridge, microwave, stove top, pans, dishes, and utensils. (No oven.) Plus there is a propane barbecue on the terrace.

TV includes Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, and many other channels (you'll need your own login credentials). What's more, there is free WIFI and plenty of outlets to keep you plugged in.

We even stock you with some beach chairs, beach umbrella, sand toys & boogie boards for taking down to the beach.

The studio comes supplied with the basics you'd expect at any hotel like a hair dryer and iron. Plus you have a kitchen and living room to enjoy. We think of everything you might need and even stock you with a few beach towels so you don't need to pack those in your suitcase. Why stay at a hotel when you can stay in the comfort of your own home in a friendly neighborhood? Vacation like a local.

If you don't bring a car you will be fine. App based cars such as Uber and Lyft are readily available for local transport at an affordable rate.

Due to insurance reasons, the person booking must be at least 25 years old to book and must upload a photo of government ID to the host within 24 hours of booking.

The property has a portable air conditioning unit. (Not central air)

Please note that we have occupancy based pricing in our settings. Please select the correct number of people in your group at the time of booking to get the correct pricing for your stay. Keep in mind, if you add more people to your group after booking the rate may adjust slightly. There is an additional charge of $20 per night for each additional person after the initial 2 people. This keeps our rates low and affordable for our average group size for this listing and helps us charge an appropriate fee for the additional linens and utilities used by a larger group size. This studio is the second floor of a 3 unit complex. You will need to climb one flight of stairs to access the apartment. You have your own private entrance.

This unit does not have offer a dedicated parking spot. You will need to park on the street but parking is usually abundant on this block except perhaps in the peak summer or in the evenings.

Beach gear includes beach towels, bodyboards, beach chairs and sand toys for the kids.

The barbecue, bikes and beach equipment are communal, meaning they are shared with the other two units of the triplex. The bikes are kept outside and may have a some rust, but that will fit in with the locals! We do not supply bike helmets.

The studio is thoroughly cleaned between each stay. However if you wish for a cleaning and change of linens during your stay we can arrange for the housekeeper to come for an additional charge of the standard cleaning fee. Please give us one day's notice so we can get this scheduled with the housekeeper.

We love children and want you to know that they are more than welcome as our guests. This means that children of any age, even infants, are counted as guests in your guest count. Please let us know in advance the ages of all children and whether you require a pack and play or anything else.

Want family pictures on the beach? What better backdrop for a group shot than the stunning backdrop of the ocean or bay at sunset! We can arrange for a very affordable local portrait photographer to do a photo session of your family on the beach. Let us know in advanced if you're interested and we can connect you with the photographer.

We can connect you with a service that will set you up with a private bonfire on the beach. They include set up and take down, portable steel fire drum, roasting sticks, hot dogs, and s'mores. A perfect activity while waiting for the nightly summer Sea World fireworks over the bay. Inquire for details.

Recreational opportunities abound. We can get you hooked up with renting: surfboards, stand up paddle boards, kayaks, jet skis, sail boats, water ski boats, etc. If you're not experienced in any of these but want to learn, we can connect you with group classes and private lessons available in any of these activities.

Are you into yoga? There is free daily yoga on the beach nearby. No yoga mats needed. Just bring a beach towel & water and you are all set. (It's donation based so maybe bring some cash for the instructor. )
