Secluded and Cozy

This is a quiet home about 3 miles from the center of Old Fort. Very comfy, with all modern amenities. Heat, shower pressure, etc. all work great. I wouldn't recommend the backyard for much playing, etc. it needs some work. But the neighborhood has plenty of outdoor space to stretch your legs.

The only thing is lock box is getting wore out lol the sinks we slow to drain but other than that it is a wonderfull place might be better with out the rain but over all we loved it

Gorgeous Mountain Views!

This is our second stay at this home. The views are spectacular, and the home is comfy and well appointed. Perfect outdoor space for your pup that is fenced in and has a fun fire pit. Beds are very comfy! Nice proximity to Asheville.

Home away from home! 😁

Super clean,fenced backyard for fur babies, comfortable king bed,superb kitchen,and bathtub with plenty of hot water. Property is also close to all attractions. Best place we have ever stayed❤️

Summer trip with my daughter

The place was excellent! Everything we needed was there, comfortable beds, tv easy to use, ample kitchen supplies. Small fenced back yard and close to downtown Asheville and black mountain. We felt very safe there and will be back. Dog friendly, even had doggie poop bags, not many places are as accommodating as this place

Wonderful vacation!

This property was one of the best we’ve ever stayed in. The hosts were very accommodating and were in constant communication with us. We enjoyed our stay and recommend this cabin to anyone who may be interested in staying in the Old Fort area. The host replied to every message I sent very quickly and took excellent care of us. Perfect mountain hideaway

We loved our week at this precious cabin! Tucked away on a quiet road but just a few minutes into town, close to hikes, breweries, and nature! Comfy beds, well stocked kitchen, plenty of extra blankets and towels, and the living spaces are much more spacious than pictures might suggest. Hosts are responsive and kind! Will be back!

Excellent location!

House was very neat and clean. Owners provided great little thoughtful extras that made the stay feel welcoming and home like. The king size beds in both rooms made it extra desirable. Very cozy, comfortable and easy to be there. Good location. Quiet with beautiful walking area by property. Would definitely stay here again.

Quiet getaway

Good location… gave us the opportunity to hike in several good areas…located so we could see several downtowns without too far travel. Couple great breweries places downtown Old fort that were very good. Hope to see Old fort downtown develop more.

Lovely Cabin

We enjoyed our short stay! The cabin was very clean and well equipped. My parents were staying at the Buck Creek RV Park for the week about 20 minutes away, and this was a nice place for our family to crash after spending time with them. Beds were comfortable. Access was simple and the host was easy to communicate with. They even had coffee, which is often advertised but rarely present! We would stay again.

Peaceful !

What a perfect place to relax and sleep comfortably after hitting the sights and shops around Asheville!! The two king beds, which are hard to find when renting, were extremely comfortable with soft bed linens! So very clean and stocked with necessities. Thank you!

Loved this place...

We had a wonderful stay. The home had everything we needed, king size beds, 2 baths, screened in porch and a fenced in area for our pet. The owner really has thought of everything for you. the fenced in area even had poop bags and extra lighting. Beautiful flowers in the front little yard. It was a perfect spot for a small family or couple. We will absolutely stay again if the need arises for us to be in the area.

Great stay, very clean and cute!

The house was very clean with cute decorations and many amenities. Derrick reached out a few days in advance with directions making it easy for us. We brought our pups and they loved the backyard, just wish there was a light in the back so we could see them a bit better at night. Great location as well in a quiet area with beautiful views.

Friends Getaway

Loved the house. It had everything we needed. Enjoyed the porches and loved the view. It was close to all the cute towns that had plenty to do. There are also a couple of breweries in the town of Old Fort. The only downside was that the towels in guest bathroom were sour before use. They had other towels to swap them out with and everything was fine after that. Really was a great place!

Immensely enjoyed 3 nights in luxurious living!

Spent 3 perfect nights in Stardust Retreat! The owners had thought about everything and we all enjoyed it all. They even have toys for our beagles to play with! We cook all our meals when we do cabin trips, and everything we needed was right there. We didn't even have to search for what we needed, because there is a list showing the location for everything. Sunset was beautiful right out the front door! Definitely recommended!

Very clean and spare

Liked the spartan nature with good decor and no knick knacks. Nice view from living room. Quiet. Kitchen and bath well stocked with essentials. Felt rural, but easy access to I-40. Need kitchen dishtowels. Also suggest a lamp next to couch in middle of room.

Asheville Getaway

Great host. Great directions. Easy access. Very well thoughout accommodations. This cabin sets in such a peaceful and wonderful setting. When on the front porch/deck you have an incredible view of the mountains in the distance. Beds were extremely comfortable. Entire cabin felt like it was brand new. Loved all of the pet accommodations (especially the basket of dog towels and treats). We definitely would book again and suggest to our friends and family to book this North Carolina cabin.

Weekend Getaway

This property was exactly as described and pictured in the listing! Myself along with my 2 adult children (and our dogs) chose this very pet friendly property as we had a planned visit to Biltmore. The house had everything we needed and was absolutely spotless! We also appreciated the small fenced in back yard for our pets. Old Fort was only a 30 min drive from Asheville and we appreciated the property being in a quiet setting. Our host also checked in with us to make sure there were no issues. I highly recommend this property you won’t regret it!

Beautiful Home with Spectacular Mountain Views

We had the pleasure of staying in this home for an extended period of time. The neighborhood is pleasant and the property is pet friendly. The host graciously provided coffee and tea, along with cleaning supplies that were adequate for our stay. Derrick was very responsive and helpful. The views of the mountains from this home are stunning. If you’re traveling with a pet, there is a great fenced in back yard, pet bowls and the dog treats were a special touch. Close enough to everything for convenience and far enough away to enjoy peaceful seclusion. House was very clean and well appointed. This property exceeded our expectations and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Beautiful Cabin, excellent host!

My significant other and I visited Derrick’s cabin for our anniversary, and we couldn’t have picked a better place to stay! The cabin was absolutely beautiful, clean, and fully equipped with everything we needed for our stay (including walking sticks for our hikes, coffee and creamer, and a cocktail set!). We enjoyed the privacy and serenity of the area. Two porches offered a perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee and do some bird watching. Derrick was an amazing host. He was so communicative, and quick to answer any questions we had. He personally ensured we had no trouble checking in by turning the outdoor lights on for us and unlocking the door. We enjoyed our trip so much that we decided to stay another night! This cabin was unavailable, but Derrick offered us to stay at another location he has nearby that was equally as private, beautiful, and fully stocked with everything we could’ve needed. Highly recommend booking this cabin if you find yourself in the Asheville area! We will definitely be visiting again soon!
