Cute quiet neighborhood. House was just as listed. Great backyard with many lighting bugs at night. Town was close and charming and Asheville about 20 minutes away.
The property's convenient location and cleanliness were highly satisfactory; however, the insufficient hot water supply resulted in an unpleasant showering experience.
Our friendâs trip was great! The Grey Eagle Cottage was a great place to stay! SUPER dog friendly, BIG fenced in yard with a wood fire pit and plenty of wood to burn. Charcoal grill and coal was provided! The hot tub was awesome once fixed properly. Communication with the host was GREAT! They responded so quick and helped with anything we needed, they were on top and ensured our stay was comfortable. Everyone in my friend group was beyond thrilled with the stay and definitely a friendly and proud small community, 3 minutes away from the downtown area and 20 minutes away from hike /trails. Fun time and home away from home feels. Thank you!!!
We had a wonderful weekend getaway with family. The hot tub was absolutely perfect for morning coffee or after a day walking downtown. It's just a mile from downtown and still close to Asheville if you want to go there. We would certainly recommend
Great location. Convenient to go into Black Mountain. Plenty of room for the 6 of us that stayed there. Nice backyard for our dog to play around in. Enjoyed the quiet neighborhood. Weâd stay here again.
This property was perfect for our wedding weekend. We were able to enjoy the beautiful backyard. We had a fire in the fire pit and relaxed in the hot tub. The 3 bathrooms made getting everyone ready for the big day a breeze. The location of this property was easy to get to and was very close to the center of all the shops, restraints and live fun music.
Great location, great back yard for the two dogs. The house is located minutes from downtown Black Mountain. The porches had plenty of outside furniture to sit and relax. The hot tube was clean and ready to use. There was ample room for three cars to park. The house was just the right size for six adults. There is an about an eight inch step down to the master bedroom, in case of bad knees or older dogs. Overall, this house was comfortable for our stay.
We spent a month in Black Mountain and absolutely loved it. This home is in a perfect location - 3 minutes from both downtown Black Mountain and Montreat. Nice remodeled home with a great backyard and deck. Perhaps a little small for big families but our family of four + dog fit in the house great. No real complaints - nice home.
Jessica was great to work with - on top of it, communicative, and easy to work with.
Definitely recommend it.
Great stay. The fence in the backyard might be a little too easy for athletic dogs to jump. I have trained pointers but sometimes if they chase something they may need a fence with a little more height. Did not want to just let them
Out. Anyway everything else was great.
We were here for a girls weekend to celebrate my daughter's 16th birthday. Everything was great! We especially enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit and added bonus of fire wood supplied by the owner! The kitchen was well equipped with everything I needed to cook 5 teens brunch. The location was very convenient to downtown Black Mountain. Would stay here again during warmer months to take advantage of walking or biking to town to explore. The only negative was that the listing stated that there were two single beds in the third bedroom which is inaccurate as there is only one single bed in that room. We had to do some rearranging of people in rooms with myself staying in the single bed instead of the master suite which was kind of a bummer.
The property management company of this house fails to mention in advance that you will be required to do the following cleaning before you leave : strip all of the beds, gather all of the towels, run a load of towel, laundry, gather all of the trash, take the trash out, load the dishwasher and start a load of dishes. If you go in the fall, you will find the deck covered in inches of leaves, as well as the top of the hot tub, both requiring that you sweep them off so you can use them. The front patio furniture needed to be wiped down because it was covered in black mold. When all of this was communicated to the property manager, they refused to refund the entire cleaning fee of $184. One of the beds did not have a mattress protector, and none of the pillows have pillow protectors, a basic hygiene, necessity! I recommend avoiding this property at all costs. I would also NOT recommend any property managed by Cottonwood Properties, because they were uninterested in the cleanliness of their property and the satisfaction of their customers.
Lovely, cozy cottage with an excellent dog friendly fenced back yard. Doggie poop bags were even provided!
Clean, quiet neighborhood, close to everything.
The hot tub is definite plus.
Very much enjoyed our visit.
Thank you.
The house was nice, and the fenced backyard was great for the dogs. Unfortunately, shortly after arrival our sweet Black Jack collapsed and was hospitalized. He died several hours later. So, we canât say we enjoyed our trip. We can say the accommodations would have been very good under different circumstances.
I would consider staying again. The house is cute and comfortable, in a quiet residential neighborhood that is well located for exploring Black Mountain and environs.
