Enjoy a cup of coffee in this breezy spacious lanai (almost 400 sq ft) while looking at the tropical foliage. Located 10 minutes from the Historic Pahoa Village for shops, restaurants & bakeries. Visit Fissure 8, Pohoiki Beach, drive over the lava flow & through the Tunnel Trees on winding roads. Old Town Hilo is 30 minutes away & Volcano National Park is about 45 minutes from here. After your adventures of the day, come back, relax, and then tuck into a comfy queen size bed.
The place was great. It was exactly as advertised, i loved hearing the birds chirpjng as i went yo bed as nd woke up. Its a little out of the way but that is part of the charm
The Lanai and Bedroom was a good overnight stay. Clean and exactly what we were looking for. Location was not great. But we knew that when we booked. We did find a great restaurant in Pahoa Village. About a 5 minute drive from the property.
We love staying here! Melanie is an excellent host. There have been several upgrades since the last time we stayed. There is now a small ensuite in the room! It's a private getaway. Perfect! We'll return again
Everything was good except that I didn't realize the see through glass doors for living room(It's already present in pictures but I overlooked). Host immediately fixed the issue we had with sink drain. Very calm and cozy place.
Great property and location, I don't like crowds so this was a perfect place, quiet and beautiful nature. . Enjoyed our time there. The beds were clean and nice, enough blankets if you need extra ones. Very easy to communicate with the host and the instructions were clear and helped to find the place.
Quiet property, off the beaten path. Relatively convenient to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and Hilo, as well as the towns of Kea'au and Pahoa. Host very friendly and easy to communicate with.
We just loved this cozy getaway in Pahoa. The lanai is spacious and clean and we were able to relax with a view of the greenery of the property next door. This is a private space to enjoy while visiting the big island. Melanie, the host was welcoming and a delight! She has multiple recommendations for all to enjoy while visiting the island. A great place for the price!
I am a semi-retired Commercial Embroiderer & tie dye artist. My Husband & I live here in the Puna District of Hawaii and love it & we hope to help you enjoy your stay here.
Puna Luna is very much a "Hawaiian Style" home in a very quiet neighborhood. It used to be a honey processing farm in the late 70's and it has a bit of character with some great vibes. The Lanai (meaning screened porch) is our favorite part of the place and we think you will like it too.
