Marina getaway located on the back sloughs of the mighty Mississippi.

Cozy upper level, one-bedroom apartment located at a small marina called Chut’s Boat Landing. Chut’s Boat Landing is nuzzled in the beautiful back sloughs of the Mississippi River. From the windows and deck you can see incredible river views, sunsets and local wildlife. Tournament Fishing hot spot right outside your door and just a short drive to downtown La Crosse, restaurants, hiking, and Mt. La Crosse Ski Area and Pro Shop.

Please Note:
*This property requires renters to walk down and up stairs to accesses property. Boat owners docking at the marina may also be using these stairs.

Slept so well because it felt like home! The birds chirping in the morning was so nice. Could have windows open with nice breeze and sun didn’t blast in. Was able to answer any questions right away.

LOVELY property right on the water

We loved Emily’s place for many reasons. It was a lovely getaway. Quiet, on the water, spacious, clean. We enjoyed taking a kayak out in the early morning, which is such a nice perk. Location feels tucked away but it’s really conveniently located. Emily was a lovely host—responsive and gave us some great recommendations. Would definitely love to come back.

Chut’s Landing

We had a wonderful stay at Chut’s Landing in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. We loved the layout of the house, the decor, design, and use of space. It was so clean!! We loved the king bed, the comfy living room furniture, the WiFi, beautiful bathroom, wonderful kitchen, nice breakfast bar! We had a wonderful time. Emily & Rick have thought of everything. Your place is very well-appointed. It was very quiet& peaceful. Beautiful views. Very calm & relaxing. It made for a really welcoming stay. We hope to stay here again! Thank you very much!

Lovely weekend in Lacrosse

A beautifully clean place, with lots of nice little snacks and bathroom amenities and a well stocked kitchen! It felt so peaceful and secluded since it's on a steep wooded bank. We enjoyed our stay very much!.

We enjoyed our stay in this quiet apartment. The apartment was very clean with a comfortable bed. The hostess had a variety of snacks, coffees, teas and toiletries available for us. We enjoyed our dinner on the deck with a view of the marina.

Tree house get away

Beautiful little spot amongst the trees with a deck overlooking the water. Kayaks are in the garage and a spot to park your boat. All in the city of Lacrosse. Clean and quiet with everything you need for a getaway

One of the GEMS!!!!!!!!!

I came for IrishFest. I live 30 minutes away but did not want to drive late at night. HOLY MOLY!!!!!! I found a gem. What a divine, dreamy, amazing find. It totally felt like an escape. Now...I am arranging with my daughter and husband so they can get a escape too. Place was SPOTLESS. Location...stuff of dreams.

Quiet waterfront stay

When we first arrived we weren't sure we choose the right place. Once we opened the door to the house we know we were in the right place. The house was perfect. It overlooks the marina and the back waters of the Mississippi. It was quiet and peaceful. There is a covered patio type area where we could sit in the shade and watch the river. Bobby (marina captain) helped get our boat in the water and back to the marina. It was quiet, peaceful and relaxing.

Great stay

My husband and I stayed for extra long weekend. We truly enjoyed ourselves. We just chilled and did whatever we wanted. We used the provided kayaks and loved that adventure for the first time. Apartment was as advertised and very clean and close to everything. Host was easy to deal with. We would highly recommend.

18th wedding anniversary with wife. Bobby helped us get our boat in the water and an idea of where to go. House was clean and well stocked. We wanted for nothing. Would stay again.

The host has a great spot on the river. We spent most of our time on the covered patio. She had everything we needed for a great vacation, accommodations were wonderful. I would definitely recommend staying there.

Still great people out there

Emily and her husband were great and very available. The place was very clean and they had many gratuities around. Easy to find and boat ramps close. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate with us to go fishing. River was 15’ high and because of this fishing was not so good. Under normal circumstances we would have stayed the whole week. Location on the river is perfect. If you get a chance this is the place to get.

peaceful and quiet

This place is where you'll want to stay if staying in La Crosse. It was very easy to find and wonderfully quiet at night. Any of the people I met using the marina were totally friendly and the use of a garage was awesome. Thank you so much for a great stay...We'll be back if in the La Crosse area. Emily was great to work with to resolve one tiny issue I had with the lock...totally my stupidity. Thanks again Eric

Great little get-away on the Mississippi

We had a blast in the cozy apartment above the boat landing. My son's and I love fishing so having the ability to fish on the huge boat landing space was a huge plus. The apartment was super clean, cozy and had all we needed for the weekend fishing trip. The only con is that the floors are a bit wonky as the kitchen and river side of the apartment seem to slope down. It almost feels like you're buzzed off a few beers or wine. Overall, not a big deal and we just wanted a place to crash at while we explored the vast river lagoons & many parks to fish. Will definitely rent again next year for my bday!

If you’re a couple looking for the absolutely perfect place to stay, this is it. Quiet, charming and a beautiful setting. A short drive to anywhere in the area. We loved every part of this place! Hi, my name is Emily and I will hopefully be your host for your upcoming vacation to La Crosse Wisconsin. My husband, 3 daughters and I are self-proclaimed “River Rats” and we love to share our passion with all those around us. As lovers of the mighty Mississippi River, it has been a dream of ours to own a Marina. That dream came true in December of 2021, when we purchased a small marina called Chut’s Boat Landing. With the marina came a home. We worked diligently to fix it up and are slowly turning it into two units. Currently the upper unit is ready to be rented out and we would love for you to stay with us.
